The texture of these bagels are perfect, oh so yummy!

First time try of Jake's Bagels & I'll be back! Walking in you can tell this is a long time staple to many, a mom & pop ambiance. There was ample seating outside as well as inside. The service was friendly with a smile, timely, & efficient. Let's get to it though...The food here was amazing. I got a bagel turkey sandwich with cheese & the cream of rice soup. You wouldn't think a sandwhich could be this good! I was sold & immediately wanted to go back. The bagels were perfectly cooked with a sold center and the perfect texture for the outside. The turkey was fresh. The soup was creamy with lots of rice and other goodness, perfectly piping hot & delish. O strongly recommend if you are out in the area stop by and give this place a try, you won't regret itThis may end up being one of your top bagels!

3.5 but rounding up. Jake's Bagels is located in downtown Aurora and has plenty of parking. This locally owned business was busy the entire time I was there. A friend and I stopped in during lunch and we were very surprised to see the line was almost out the door. Staff members were very nice and helpful. The space is large and has 2 different areas for indoor seating. I'd say it can seat up to 40ish people. I tried the lox sandwich on an egg bagel and ordered a bagel with cream cheese for my husband. There were quite a number of bagels that were out of stock (ie sesame). Overall everything was OK. The bagel itself wasn't my favorite, pretty standard bagel, nothing special or mind blowing in my opinion. The contents of the lox bagel and cream cheese were delicious though. Great quality ingredients.

Today was my first time at Jake's bagels I did not know what to expect. The coke was kinda flat you couldn't really taste the carbonation. The chips were fresh. The creamy chicken rice was amazing fresh and hot. The bacon egg and cheese bagel was very big and worth the money. The bagel dog my dad ordered was very delicious. Besides the food, the service was exceptional. A shout out to Rebecca, She was very friendly and was very patient in taking our order. And for that reason alone we recommend Jake's bagels.

We celebrated National Women's Day a day early with breakfast bagels! Very filling and delicious! Definitely recommend!

Bacon egg and cheese bagel: delicious, bacon is mixed into the eggs. Large egg portion Plain bagels: pretty good Service: friendly and fast Atmosphere: plenty of seating room and had a nice fire going. I didn't like the smell of the place, it was like dirty mop water. It may have been because it was raining or the location.

Discovered this gem on my way to the Christmas market. The bagel sandwiches were so delicious. Fast and friendly service. And the place is super cute. The meat on my sandwich was so yummy and the bagel was delicious. I am so glad I stopped in. Great for breakfast or lunch

I loved the vibe at Jake's! You enter into this super cozy little deli with plenty of seating and are met with a beautiful selection of bagels. I wish I would've had time to sit and eat, but I was on my way to work. I ordered a turkey sandwich on an onion bagel and, unfortunately, it was not my fave. The portion was generous and the bagel was tasty, but the turkey was soggy and tasted stale to me. The real winner was the cookie bar I had. It was incredible. Day changing. It was so good that I still can't wait to try this place again and order something besides from turkey.

I'm so grateful to fellow Yelp friends for pointing out this cozy bagel shop. I should have asked…read morewhere the name came from because I only saw good guys here. They have several flavors of gluten free bagels, squeal! The service is so welcoming and considerate about allergies. We shared a Bee Sting breakfast sandwich because this is how it is described on the menu "One of our most popular sandwiches! Egg, Cheddar Cheese, Crispy Bacon, Scallion Schmear, and Heaven's Hot Honey. You can't beat this combo!" Omg it was scrumptious! You can pre-order and drive thru to pick up or park in the adjacent lot and walk in. You can customize everything so check out their website ordering menu ahead of time. The coffee was really tasty too. There was a constant flow of patrons early on a Sunday morning. There are only two tables inside so we took our order to go. I'm already dreaming of what I'll try next and who I will bring with to enjoy these really delicious bagels in Geneva.

This bagel shop is located in an old house. It's tiny with only a few seats inside and outside…read more They have one of my favorite strawberry cream cheese with real strawberry chunks in it, but it's only a seasonal item so I wanted to come by before they were out. I ordered a sesame bagel with strawberry cream cheese. As I was eating it, I started to wonder why it tasted like cinnamon, and then I noticed there were nuts in it. I realized they gave me the cranberry walnut cream cheese (I didn't notice right away because the color was still slightly pink and the flavor was fruity). It was good so I still ate it, but it was a bit disappointing to not get what I was looking forward to. We told the employees before we left, and they apologized and said they'd remake it, but I had already eaten the entire bagel so I told them no it's okay. We mainly just wanted to tell them so they'll be more careful. Some people have allergies, and I can't imagine if I unknowingly ate something I was allergic to. They sell tubs of the strawberry cream cheese for $8, so we purchased one to take home. I like that they always have new types of seasonal coffee creations and this time I got an iced coconut mocha. It was really good!

In light of Rosh Hashanah, we were looking for Jewish places to eat and came across Schmaltz Deli…read more We never knew there was a Jewish deli in the area and boy were we missing out. As soon as we walked in, we knew it was going to be a great experience. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor tables available as well as a traditional deli counter. They also have a drive thru! You can choose to order at the counter or be seated with a more traditional restaurant-like service. Our waiter was young but very professional and provided great recommendations. To start, they bring a complimentary bowl of bagel chips (a unique twist and a great way to repurpose old bagels). For my meal, I had a half American sandwich with a bowl of matzo ball soup. It was simple but delicious. On our way out, we stopped at the deli and ordered a few rugelach. They tasted so fresh! My favorite was the apricot flavor. Definitely hope to be back real soon to support such a great spot! Shana Tova!

3.5 stars, but rounded up because I didn't feel they deserved any deduction…read more I was REALLY looking forward to their #20 Old New Yorker, which I got in their Navel Cut pastrami. It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. And this time, I'll be sure to dine in and give another review of it to see how much I like them better.
