There was a comment above about the waitresses not staying long. Being in a tiny little town that's not exactly affluent, and only two tables occupied during my entire visit, I suspect the tips are atrocious. Waitresses only make like $2/hr and depend on tips for the rest of their income. My waitresses was here by herself besides the cook, she was responsible for waiting plus clearing tables, washing the dishes, manning the checkout, literally everything except the actual cooking. She's been here three days and did a very good job considering she is brand new. I hope she stays. She spent several minutes talking to me about my current trip, checked on me regularly, and checked me out accurately and quickly. Carlos is the cook. He makes some damn good fried pork chops! The pancakes were two different sizes--one was burnt and left a bitter taste in my mouth for over 30 minutes.
