Came in during balloon festival weekend before what was supposed to be the night glow (weather did not permit!) and I was so thankful they were open! They were very friendly and the dirty chai I ordered was great! I love that they partner with Best Friends and even have their information on the hot cup sleeves!! They're really busy during the morning rush, so if you're looking to get pastries or bagels, go early or they will run out. We got two bagels, one with cream cheese and the other as a breakfast sandwich. They both weren't great but did the job of filling us up for breakfast. Had breakfast here as we were staying at an AirBnB nearby. All 3 of us enjoyed our food and the great service. We all had the same breakfast--the Specialty--and we fools some pastries to go. Service was friendly and efficient, as busy as they were. We really enjoyed sitting out on their patio too, enjoying the sun and the view. We really wanted to like this place based off reviews. It's cute, quaint, right on main, has outdoor seating and the employees were very friendly. Coffee was one step above Folgers The muffin was like eating a piece of wood, hard no flavor. A warmed croissant came burned, no picture because it went in the trash immediately. We also had 2 breakfast sandwiches on toast, small, edible but dry, no mayo unless you pay extra. The one slice of ham was paper thin. The only coffee shop open early in Kanab, so if you're heading into the National Parks, this will be your one stop shop - and the prices indicate that they know it! They probably feel it too, as the line in the morning on a Friday was out the door. Even with 4 people working the tiny kitchen, service is slow, albeit very friendly. They work hard here! I listened as a couple asked for a dozen substitutions in not the friendliest tone, and the staff here took it all in stride. Coffee - good, but not great. I used my own mug. Breakfast sando - eh, very small and flavorless. Disappointing for the cost. Pastries - we tried the scones and a muffin, these were very good! Go for the caffeine fix and the pastries, and because it's the only coffee shop in town that's open early. Parking might be a little difficult as there is no dedicated lot, but we were able to find street parking right in front around 8:30am. read more

The only thing keeping this from being a 1-star review is the service--the staff was friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. The food and coffee were downright terrible--completely lacking in flavor and quality. To make matters worse, the cleanliness of the restaurant was shocking. Just looking around made me feel nauseous, which is never something you want to experience in a place that serves food. I really wanted to like this spot, but between the poor food quality and the lack of basic cleanliness, I won't be coming back. It's an okay stop in a town with not much open in the morning. But damn how can it be so chaotic in such a small town shop. You walk in and the radio is blaring, the person cooking is on the phone with someone on speak set to max, and a kid of one of the employees is listening to their iPad blaring with no head phones (yes this is a pet peeve of mine). The food is actually not bad. The espresso is pretty good too. Not sure I agree with the low reviews for that. But it's not terrific and couple that with the inability to sit in a coffee shop in relative peace, and it's a 3 for me. read more

Happy to find this spot open. We ordered avocado toast and a bagel sandwich. Both were good and made to order. While it wasn't the best version of either I have ever had, the sunflower seed bagel was delightful and the bacon was crispy. If we were staying longer, I would definitely go back. Husband ordered a cappuccino with stevia. instead of informing us they didn't have stevia, they used a splenda which I saw the gal put in his coffee. my latte was flavorless and luke warm. we left, threw our beverages in the trash and our clothes and hair still smell like burnt grease. the place is filthy. read more

If you ever find yourself going through this small town Named Kanab, I would 100% recommend making a stop at this small cafe. It's a warm, cozy & very friendly spot. I was staying in an airbnb walking distance from Jakey Leigh's and what I can tell you is that there are multiple little cafes in the area but this spot is none like the others. Everything is homemade & taste delicious, from their muffins to their breakfast sandwiches to their coffee, everything tastes like it was made with warmth & care. To me if I was passing through this town & I wanted a quick tasty bite this is the spot I would pass by. Definitely one of the better food spots in Kanab & will forever be one of my recommendations. read more

Had a great experience here this morning. Ordered three bacon, egg, and cheese, breakfast sandwiches made on croissants. The croissants were delicious!! We also got a caramel latte and an iced americano, both hit the spot! Muffin was good, we visited late morning so was a lil dry. Got a side of bacon and was kinda amazed at how thin the bacon was, flavor was good tho. Kudos to the two ladies manning the store. We stopped here to get our breakfast to go for three days we were in Kanab. We got the southwest burrito and an everything bagel with egg and cheese. The next day we got a couple bagels (everything and pumpkin seeds) with eggs, onions, pepper and cheese. The following morning we tried the build your own sandwich with eggs and the apple turnover. It is what it is. It's a small, lil hole in the wall, simple breakfast shop. My husband and I stopped in here on our way to the Moqui Cave and I'll be honest, our expectations were not high. We just needed a quick breakfast bite. The two ladies working greeted us immediately and were friendly. Unfortunately they were out of croissants (my request) and I believe bagels too (heard the next customer asking for one) so that did make the already limited choices even more limited. But, we got exactly what we ordered, quickly, and it was fresh and hot. I have only one "complaint," and that would be that we had to clean our own table before we could sit down. That was disappointing esp because they were not busy when we went in. But overall, this place delivered what we wanted. On vacation, I have visited this little place 4 times. Each time during the week we're smooth & quick. LOVE LOVE the homemade everything bagel sandwich! The store appears to sell out quickly, so make sure you get in a little early or expect to wait. The weekend staff try their hardest to keep up, but do not appear to have a head person to take charge and get things moving effectively. I love this little spot, so I wake up early to go. This place is really lovely and I have no clue why it's a three star, especially in this town. I love this town but the breakfast spots are hard to find. I got the breakfast burrito and it was on point. Fresh made right in front of me and the service was really good. The girl, maybe Jakey, was really lovely. I enjoyed the food so much I got the breakfast sandwich to go and it was fantastic. There is a lovely little patio out front with a fantastic view as well. The inside is super fun and chill. I really liked it. I would have given this place a great review anyway but especially being here in this town that has so little options for a fun breakfast. Come give this place a shot. read more
