If you don't speak Spanish, there is a language barrier as the staff speaks no English. Aside from that, this was the best Mexican food I've ever had. I ordered the chicken enchiladas in mole sauce and devoured the whole thing. Also, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. read more

Okay, I looooove the food, whoever is back there in the kitchen needs a raise. The drinks are fire, the dj know's what's up with the music, it's all good stuff. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is cause the service is shitty. First things first, the waitress took a very long time to come to our table, cause she was too busy on chisme if you know what I mean. Second, she took our order and after that she didn't come to our table for like a whole 30 minutes which let me tell makes no sense cause she was on the bar area right in front of us. Have to admit, having authentic Mexican delivered right to my door in Franklin Square seemed unlikely, but I'm really impressed with the chorizo quesadilla and ceviche, especially delivered. We also got tacos el pastor which was very good as well. 6.18.17 updated review The service is terrible!!! The place holds maybe 100 people. While there are only 3 tables with 4 ppl each, it still took over 30 mins just to order. They have 9+ waitresses but all are too busy taking selfies!!! I wish I knew who the owner was cause yes, food is still delicious, but ur service went downhill. You'd think you're setting yourself up coming here being in the town of Hempstead. Not quite. Nice cozy spot, not no hole in the wall. Open late hours. Jalapeño grill! What can I say? The area to be honest is not the best. However, this restaurant is great! They have great food and drinks. They always have a dj which is cool but on the weekends they have karaoke. To be honest, hearing people sing isn't my thing but that's what they do. Prices are decent and service is good. They all speak Spanish so you must brush up on your spanish skills before entering. I came here for my friends birthday and they gave him a flan with a sparkler, they had balloons, the dj shouted him out and they let him wear a sombrero to wear. It was a very nice experience. Fantastic place to order from. The food is reasonably priced and portion size is very good. Free chips with every order and that's a good thing because the guac is out of this world so you'll need some extra! Ordered on Grubhub and they came in the time allotted. Came for a corona Rita turned into a $25 fishbowl drink. Had no idea it was so much . I just asked for a margarita now two drinks and $50 in. I can't even eat here because of the amount of flies and dust in this place . So this review is just based on the ridiculous price of a corona margarita and the over all cleanliness of the place . Ordered on a Seamless, guacamole was super fresh but a little bland. Enchiladas we're really good and the tortilla was very crisp. Asked for extra spicy salsa, which was pretty mild. Would have liked more spice. Pretty quick delivery (about 75 minutes) on a Friday night. read more

I've ordered from here a few times, delicious the first time. This is last time however, I ordered the beef nachos and I ate a raw pieces of meat that was covered in the toppings. I felt like I chewed into a dead rat ugh what a nightmare I threw up obviously. Nachos were stale and the pupusas were flavorless . Tacos were ok. That was the last time I will eat frm here. Delivery takes for ever on one occasion I went to pick it up And I stood outside for 35 mins just to go in and check, the waitress tells me it's going to take another 40 mins. At that point I walk out with out my food. Thank God I opted to pay at pick up. They need to work on take out and sit in service separately to maintain quality control, I never eat there because it's more of a bar/cantina atmospheric restaurant not ideal for when dining with the 4 and 9 year old children. I placed an order online, quesadilla, papaya shake and 2 tamales. 30 min later I receive a call indicating that they didn't have papaya to choose another fruit so I did. I received the order 45 after that and it was missing the tamales. I called and the lady that answered the phone asked if I was going to order the following day to send the tamales with the order. "no I will not be ordering tomorrow, I need the tamales today" I also expressed that I was leaving at 3PM and it was 2:20PM. The lady then said " will anyone be there after 3PM" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!??! The tamales are for me!! she then said she will send the delivery guy as soon as possible. Horrible experience. Personally I expected better. Food was okay. Service was extremely slow. Decor and ambiance...not impressed. Tables and surroundings can use better cleaning...so not sanitary where food served is concerned. I would have to say that the biggest negative was that they were part of the Restaurant.com group. I decided to pay for a $25 certificate to use at their restaurant, Jalapeno Grill. However, when we went to use it, the waitress mentioned that the manager was not accepting them because it was Restaurant.com's responsibility to pay. That was obviously a very lame excuse and one that absolutely makes no sense. What I did get out of it is that this establishment most likely added themselves on to this site to mainly draw customers to them...and once those customers show up, order their meal and eat it...when it comes time to use coupon to apply towards the bill, they immediately use the excuse of why they won't honor it. Even if you don't have a coupon...it's irrevelant, as it's obvious if they scam to draw people to them by adding themselves to a site like Restaurant.com, they should have already agreed to the terms of how it works. You then would need to question if they are sneaky in their dealings...what about their integrity and intentions behind their business dealings and the food they serve in general. Believe me...there are far better and greater establishments that serve Mexican food...so best you seek those others out instead and skip this one. As honestly...they are not worth it! read more

We ordered for home delivery on GrubHub and received our order 2 hours late. The food was cold, nachos were soggy and the entire meal was the worst Mexican food we have ever had! We wound up throwing most of the $85 order in the garbage. It was a complete waste of money, time and thoroughly ruined the evening. We will never order from this restaurant again and are hesitant to use GrubHub. read more
