Checked out Mitote Food Park a few days ago. There were many choices of food trucks but I gave Super Taco a try. Ordered their small street tacos at $2.50/each. Very oily flour tacos (you can see them gleaming in the pics). Meats were ok, not bad flavors but with so many competitions nearby, they gotta ramp up their flavors. So I started my new career here in Rosa about 1 1/2 months ago. First day didnt know what the hell was what so i went and strayed about 2 blox from my work and got a decent sandwich. After that I ventured onward down sebastapol avenue and decided, Imma try every taco truck i can find in the vicinity and make my pick as to which one works best for me. I kept it simple, 3 Chorizo tacos. I must have hit six or seven trucks and at least 2 restaurants. To me, Super Taco is king when it comes to tacos. Not only that but I get a very pleasant smile and a thank you when i depart. Not like Popeyes just up the street where your liable to get shot for ordering anything. I have been there probably 6 times so far and I will continue to go back every day probably. 2.50 per taco is a steal around here being as I have paid upwards of 4.50 per taco elsewhere and not been nearly as satisfied. S E R V I C E: I like how there's a cashier outside of the truck, sometimes it's hard to yell your order inside the truck over all the cooking and if there's a long line. This used to be my favorite taco truck until they changed their tortillas. They now use old , stale , hard tortillas that are hard to chew and the quality of meat in their Al Pastor has gone way down . It is a given that every other bite will be a piece of disgusting fat. I used to eat here at least 3-4 times a week and I still miss the way their food used to taste. My family refuses to eat here anymore because the food is so horrible . So I'm sad to say I'll never come here again. Im disappointed every time. Couldn't even eat the burrito I got last night. My main complaint is that when I order a Super Burrito, I expect to notice my guacamole and sour cream. Instead I noticed an abundance of ridiculously hot salsa and a bunch of lettuce. The heat from the salsa is overpowering and I can't taste anything after it hits my palate. I can't even find guacamole or sour cream, and putting lettuce in my burrito is a major No-No. I will not be returning to this place unfortunately. It was a Friday night at 11:45. January 19 2019. I order a super burrito of Asada and I have never ate their burritos only tacos. This burrito of Asada was the worst burrito I ever had and I know Chevys makes bland food so you would get what I mean. It was dry but watery at the same time. Bean and rice dry as the California drought. And the meat taste unseasoned but also was like ground beef. It seem like it was cut but they got lazy and said f*** it just throw it in the blender. I LOVE this place. Firstly, they don't give me side eye and refuse to talk to me in Spanish because I am a white-looking Mexican citizen. That is a big deal for me because I prefer Spanish over English. They always have the food ready quickly, they have all the options for add ins and THEY WILL NOT SHORT YOU. I've paid for crema and queso at other restaurants/taco trucks but since I look white and I married into a white family, they "forget" and I end up disappointed when I get home. These folks have all the yummy treats and I'm delighted to see their tip jar co sisterly filled up halfway or more. Did I mention they take cards and cash apps?!?! Because that's also a huge plus if you don't have lots of cash on you. Pay with card/app and give them your cash as tip. Place is really good! Everything we've order is always fresh and hot. If you don't mind the outside taco truck and you want Mexican food this is the spot! They have lots of parking also a place to sit down and eat. And last the bathrooms are cleaner then most places. The tacos personally are the best thing they offer because everything else is ok. My wife thinks the carnitas are the best but me personally the carne asada and last the salsa is spicy so that's a big plus because most places lack spice in they're salsa. Cheap!
