Update 1/26/19 This has always been my go to Jamba Juice. As of lately I'm more disappointed. Today my fiancé and I ran in here to get a quick drink and I used the restroom, the bathroom was so gross! It smelled like sewer and everything was dusty and dirty. The toilet paper holder was rusty and possibly broken, the ceiling was full of dust, the return vent was rusty. For about $50 the bathroom could be fixed and feel like luxury like the rest of the place. As it is wonder, I had my long jacket and purse with me and there was no where to hang it to go to the restroom. In the restaurant portion the ledges of the wall were also extremely dusty. It's a matter of taking a rag and wiping it down. But with all that dust, likely a place I do not want to return to as a food chain. read more

It's been years since I've been inside a Jamba Juice. I honestly can not remember the last time. My son was feeling thirsty so I used yelp to find this place. First thing I noticed, this area is hopping on a week day evening with other restaurants in the area. Parking sucked. Upon entering the store, you get hit with what can only be described as a bleachy smell. I guess that's a good sign. They're clean. But it was a little much. Their employees were very nice. They worked quickly. They're the reason I'm giving them 3 stars. What bugged me was the price! After noticing how much their prices had increased since the last time I was there -- I ordered my son a smoothie and decided to share with him. The guy offered to put it into two cups -- which was nice. I declined and let my boy have his drink. A bottle of water and a small smoothie was almost $8. $8!!!!! A kids' hot chocolate and a grande coffee at Starbucks would be the same price -- and water is free there. I do not think the drink was at all worth the price. It didn't taste out of this world. Jamba Juice is one of the number one reasons why I miss Hawaii; why? Because there are many located in Hawaii, but not so many in Chicago. There was a Jamba Juice location near the Chicago theater, but it closed down. Seems to be like that for Jamba Juice locations in Chicago, but I guess business isn't doing to well compared to Hawaii. The last one I believe we have in Chicago is located at the Navy Pier, I think! Anywho! I dropped in, after having a interview for a job in the Oakbrook Terrace area, and Jamba Juice was one place that I had to make a quick pit stop at, and the customer service totally great. Alright, I'll update my review. Even though they haven't brought back the Make It Light option, I can't stop myself from returning. I love jamba juice too much. The morning staff at this location is always very cheerful and friendly, and even remember my order and my name since I make a visit roughly once a week or so. They recommended that I ask for Make It Light with almond milk - so they substitute the sherbet with almond milk. It's not AS light as it used to be, but still lighter than the regular one. I am addicted to their granola topping! It's so delicious, crunchy and hearty with just the right amount of cinnamony spices to make me always wish there was more. So even though I'm not happy with the fact that they arbitrarily got rid of my favorite way to drink a smoothie, I can't help but keep coming back. I love Jamba Juice! I used to live in San Luis Obispo, CA where the original location opened and I frequently visited. I have been to several locations around the U.S. and have always found the quality to be consistent. The service does vary by location, but overall you find friendly servers and fast efficient service. The smoothies are yummy and made from fresh ingredients with the idea of promoting healthy living. Drinks are made to order with fresh fruits and juices. I was surprised to find the "boosts" are now .50 cents a scoop, when in the past one scoop was included. My favorites are the "Berry Fulfilling" and "Razzmatazz" smoothies, but I don't think you would be disappointed by any smoothie on the menu! read more

Oak Brook Jamba, I've given you two chances to show me what you got. And apparently what you've got is not much. First experience: My husband and I wanted to have their bowls and a smoothie as a post-workout breakfast. I had been telling him how much I like their bowls, which I sometimes get at the Jamba downtown, so he was down for trying it. We ordered, paid, and waited. Our smoothies were ready pretty quickly and I got my yogurt bowl. And then we waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally I went to the counter and asked about my husband's strawberry banana bowl. Oops. They forgot to make it. He was done with his smoothie by the time he got the bowl. Not a great first impression. Second experience: It took some convincing to get him to go back, but I really wanted a smoothie and a bowl. They took the yogurt bowl off the menu at this location, so we both ordered the strawberry banana bowl. We paid and waited. Got our bowls and were going to eat them there when I realized we didn't have spoons. So I go up to the counter and asked for spoons. Here's the exchange. *Me*: Can we have two spoons? *Jamba bro*: Oh, actually we're out of spoons. [mind you, it's 11 a.m.] *Me*: What? Well how am I supposed to eat this? *Jamba bro*: I don't know. It is indeed very disappointing-- and frustrating-- that the orange juice machine is shut down an hour before close (NOTE THIS ON THE MENU for goodness sakes!). Not sure what the hype is all about - these places were in Sand Diego where I lived back in the 90's. There's really nothing very healthy offered here - mainly because none of the sugar contents are shown on the menu boards. If everyone knew how much sugar were in their drinks and smoothies, they MIGHT think twice, but probably order it anyway. They only show calorie counts. Just because something is 'natural' doesn't mean it's healthy, the same holds true with being low calorie. And don't even get me started on nonfat - they ADD more sugar to foods whenever they eliminate something..... Unless you skip the addition of the sugary juices they add to make most of their drinks and smoothies - you are wasting your time. Plus, the sugary fruit and juices spike the glycemic level and make you hungrier which in turn makes you eat more and store more fat. What they need to offer is something where there is no juice added - and more proteins. I think I once had one smoothie with water and ice only, but to be honest, there was so much sugar in the fruit, it sort of defeated the purpose. read more

I went to Jamba Juice craving a smoothie the store is advertised as being open till 9:00 pm. I got there around 8:40 - 8:45 only to find the doors locked and employees yelling across the store that they were closed. There was another customer that also came to the door and knocked only to find them claiming they had closed for the day. If your store hours clearly say you will be open till a specific time I believe you have to uphold that time. Jamba Juice dose not have a drive through so making that trip when its freezing outside only to have them closed before there advertised time is a total let down.. read more

They make pretty good smoothies, but they are bit pricey. Do recommend joining the email sign up to get the good deals. Overall they make they pretty fast here granted when I visited the place wasn't busy. Moreover, it was fairly clean. So like that you can customize your own stuff and they list calorie content.
