Hard to find a good dentist for some reason. Been going here for over a year - good stuff.

Dr. Anderson is a wonderful dentist. I am a new patient and I am so glad I chose this dental office. Everyone is so kind, caring, and attentive. The nurses are very gentle when working, and Dr. Anderson himself is very good at what he does-- I had my wisdom tooth removed on Monday in about 30 minutes, which passed quickly as him and his assistant were very reassuring. Having the tooth out feels so much better now, and didn't hurt at all. The office is absolutely amazing. It's welcoming, clean, and comfortable. The lobby has super comfortable furniture, and the decor is very refreshing for those of us who are anxious in eerily sterile, clinical settings. I recommend Dreamworks dental if you struggle with dental anxiety. The entire staff is great at their jobs, and the building feels very homely. read more

Now I'm be discriminated against because Dr. Anderson is in the wrong and instead of simply saying sorry and moving on. He tired to lie to me saying I don't know what I heard followed by lying again and trying to blame his female patient he was working on saying it was actually them I heard and not him. I called to because I missed my appointment and he had his front desk and say their computers were down and that they would call me back. Maybe I was wrong about the place and only the 2 Assistants and Dr. Truie are the only good people here. Btw I called them Tuesday and still nothing back read more

I'm always slow to review somebody who has the ability to cause severe injury to you. I work for a health insurance company and honestly this dentist got my attention because the customers I help and some of my colleagues have raved about them. My final decision to change my kids insurance so they could be seen was based on my personal interactions with their office over the phone. Their staff is always friendly, polite, appropriate humor and they show equal respect for each person no matter what type of insurance you have. Both of my children are on the Oregon Health Plan and I have had a hard time finding appointments that are timely. This office treats members of the Oregon Health Plan with respect. My kids have had two cleanings and this is our first "procedure" visit. Dr. Kim did the fillings for my son today, he told my youngest that since the cavities were small he would try to do it without numbing. I am a nervous wreck when it comes to dental work and I was immediately filled with anxiety on my kids behalf. My son who was born with a backbone was like "yeah sure, go ahead do it"! Dr Kim did both fillings, no pain I could've used some nitrous just having to sit there and watch but I wasn't there as a patient so I felt weird about asking. I'm extremely grateful to have found a doctor who is treating my children with the care they deserve so that they don't grow up with dental phobias. Every time my kids smile it is like a little thank you to Dreamworks! They have a pretty sophisticated schedule reminder system that is incredible. I get text a couple days before the appointment, and the date of the appointment, it's extremely helpful! You can also choose email and calls. read more

I'm one of those.. you know the type.. tortured by dentists as a child back in the more primitive days.. That being said, my teeth did not get to see a dentist for a very long time.. trauma is like that. I looked around, felt it out and decided on this dentist. It worked incredibly perfectly. I am up front about my background so at least I have some sort of an excuse for the disaster to be found inside my mouth. It's embarrassing as well. The whole crew here never made me feel like that. They were kind and thoughtful on all points. I became a pretty common sight there but I stuck it out and made up for lost time even. The dentist's diagnosis of my situation was straight ahead. I felt like I was in good hands and no nonsense. He did not come at me with.. oh dear.. you've really done it.. there's no cure for any of this. You are going to require major surgery, or any other sort of scary tactic that you know those dentists do.. ;) (Kidding, a little) It seemed like a serious craft to him and I did not have to go anywhere else to get all of my work completed. Dr. Anderson and his office does it all. I gave him my goal and we achieved it with a number of crowns, a few fillings, and presto, I felt like a queen. I had to have a ton of work done and I stuck it out and finished it with a smile at this awesome dentist office. read more

I find it amazing to believe that I am going to write a review about a dentist, and even more amazing that I'm giving him five stars. I mean, come on, the dentist office is rarely a place of enjoyment, and my trips have never come with eager anticipation. Rather they usually are filled with anxiety and pain. Not so with Dr. Anderson. I have been to other great Dentist, and some really horrible one's, but in my adult life Dr. Anderson has been the best. Dr. Anderson has been my dentist now for over six years. I found his office, in the old location, after having a terrible experience with another large dental office here in the Portland area. Dr. Anderson fixed me up great from the bad service I had received elsewhere. I didn't have to wait six weeks between each appointment, and I was and continue to be treated like a human being instead of a number. The entire staff here is wonderful. Communication is great, with appointment reminders, clear information on appointments and procedures, and all options for services are discussed and recommended without feeling pressured. Estimates have always been provided, and I have not had a single problem with billing from this office to my insurance or in the payments I am responsible for. The office is state of the art, comfortable and relaxing. Considering what a person is often there for, that is important because anxiety can be high, and I have had nothing but stress free dental work from Dr. Anderson. Appointments have always been easy to come by and convenient to my busy schedule. This is a five star recommendation that didn't take much thought about at all. read more

I came here because the reviews were good. I was looking for some dental work and thought I would try here since it's close to my house. The receptionist, staff, and doctor were nice and they do acceptable work. The problem I have with this location is that they seem really overpriced. When I called they quoted me a price and it was higher than most other places I called. But I assumed they will do good work so I went ahead and made an appointment. When I got there, they confirmed the price. But the problem was when I was about to pay, they gave a higher price. They started giving me excuses like this service was extra or there is a fee for this service, etc. They try to pinch just a little more out of you. I complained but paid it and knew I wouldn't come back. Overall, don't be fooled by the price they give you and try looking for another dentist. read more

I have a female dentist she is very knowledgeable and patient with me. If I don't understand she explains it so I understand. She is kind and caring which is very important in a dentist. She doesn't pressure you to quickly make decisions either. She let's you think about it and let's you get back to her when you make a final decision. I highly recommend her. I haven't seen the male dentist but I heard him talking to another patient next to my area and he seemed very caring and knowledgeable too. I highly recommend this dentist office. All the staff are very friendly and caring. Even the waiting area feels homey and inviting. They don't have uncomfortable hard chairs like most dentist offices. Ive been here a couple times and had an emergency visit as a crown came out Dr Anderson and staff were very proficient - wearing PPE and trying to protect patients and themselves thru a pandemic. I apprecated the extras steps taken and limited appts and hope they all stay in good health. read more

This is the best dentist for sure. I just googled his address up to give to a friend in need, and happened to see he's on yelp. I've been going here for about 5 years, along with my husband, and 4 other people we've referred, who also love this dental office. Everyone is really nice there, gentle, accommodating, and it's never hard to get an appointment. Anyway, before I started going here, my last dentist had said I needed over $4,000 worth of dental work, and no matter how much I said I couldn't afford that, would not think of any way I could lower that amount. But Dr. Anderson came down a lot from that amount, and had out of the box alternatives on ways they could be fixed, and worked on priority teeth first. He was willing to work with me to produce the effect I wanted at a price I could afford. They also have a payment plan, and interest free financing, but I didn't need to use it. Also, after I'd had the prep work done there for a route canal and crown, I got a job that I didn't want to take time off from to get dental work. I explained to him that I'd need to see a dentist that was open on Saturdays, to finish the job, so they gave me my chart, no hard feelings. The Saturday dentist was about 30% MORE to do the same procedure that I'd had done on another tooth from Dr. Anderson. Same insurance carrier, same procedures. Also, the other dentist hurt so much worse, I had to get 3x the Novocaine shots, and was still in pain, I walked out shaking. That was the last time I strayed from Dr. Anderson, he totally got my business back, and I'll never try another dentist again. So in the unfortunate chance that you need a tooth hero, I might just share mine. Just give him my name, and you might just swear off other dentists altogether. =) read more

I had my routine cleaning performed today by Laura and could not have been happier with the service provided. Very courteous, kind and professional! I will be back:)! The main purpose for my visit was I had lost a filling while travileling. Jolly ranchers while delicious but are dangerous to fillings:) Dr. Anderson did a great job performing this procedure. I am normally hesitant when visiting the dentist. The environment I was in was calming and relaxing. The dental assistant was a calming presence. While there I had an additional cavity taken care of. Dr Kim did a small filling in my 7 year old son. It fell out within an hour. He replaced it. That one fell out later that same day. We went in in the morning and Dr Anderson was going to put in a new filling. He decided to drill a little bit without numbing my son. It hurt. He was going to numb him but by then my son was afraid. He tried a little more drilling and of course this didn't go over very well. At this point my son is terrified and very afraid and is crying. He's upset. I asked for five minutes to calm him down and Dr Anderson was impatient and short with me. We tried to do the shot but my son was too afraid. I agreed to try and do the filling and Dr Anderson stabs my kid in the gums with a metal spacer..... and my son is scared, hurting and now bleeding. He's crying and Dr Anderson puts his hand over his mouth and tells him to stop crying. So now my son is even more terrified and Dr Anderson is getting angry with a seven year old for being scared and he is being rude. I was told a number of things that upset me. "The fillings aren't staying in because your son has excess saliva" ummmm, your job as a dentist is to keep the area dry when doing a filling. "You are limiting me because of your sons allergies". You're right. I won't let you use a filling material (the metal kind) that has nickel because it leaves blistering wounds on my kids gums. "If he behaved this way yesterday it's no wonder the filling came out" well, yesterday with Dr Kim he was fine because Dr Kim was patient and kind and gentle. So I have fired him from being out dentist and I am writing this to warn anyone else that if you would like for your kid to be treated like a human being you're better off going somewhere else. I think they may want to rename it Nightmareworks. Instead, we headed up to Sandy Pediatric Dentistry and my son was treated like he was a human being. He was treated with kindness, patience, and when he was a bit afraid things were explained to him in a calm and gentle way. read more

The team at DreamWorks Dental are phenomenal! I called with an emergency broken tooth and they got us an appointment same day. We are not even established patients! Tammy went above and beyond. She had all of my insurance information put in and authorized prior to us arriving. She helped me navigate the insurance with ease and in terms I understood clearly. Dr. Kim was awesome! He was very supportive with my child's fears and he asked her for her opinion of his work! She raved about his bedside manner and his kindness. Wow. I've never taken the time to post an opinion on any business, but the follow up call I got at 5:30 p.m. on this Friday evening truly impressed me. The "doc" called personally to double check my condition, having had no contact from me since the 3 extractions he performed on Monday. Comfortable offices, friendly and courteous staff, thoroughly professional communications, very helpful presenting financing options....what's not to like? Plus, everyone I had contact with was sensitive to and empathetic toward my wimp factor. I've had some "traumatic" dental experiences and , at 54, am still not too old to appreciate the reassurance of a gentle hand patting me on the shoulder while a stronger pair wrestles with a stuck and stubborn molar! read more
