I met Dr. Brown for the first time about 20 years ago. I was looking for a primary care physician for my late grandmother- in law. Dr. Brown was wonderful then and now. I recall him going the extra mile, coming to our home as she aged and I was unable to bring her to the office. He even attended her funeral services. Dr. Brown THANK YOU FOR IT ALL! I lost touch after she transitioned and just found him as I was looking for a primary physician for myself. I met with Dr. Brown yesterday and 13 years later, he is STILL one of the best! He got to know me all over again, asked about our daughters, etc.He asked my reason for the visit and I absolutely love that he listened to me (without cutting me off) and then shared his expertise recommendations. I trust him. The appointment, staff, Dr. and I were aligned. So thankful to be back in touch. Dr. Brown feels like family to me. read more

I'd give negative stars if possible, Dr.Brown has horrible bedside manner!!! As a mother, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I contacted Dr. Brown's office to request a simple letter. I was told it would cost $50 just to provide a note stating an existing condition. When I asked questions about the fee, the response from the front desk was dismissive and condescending rather than professional or helpful. It wasn't just the charge--it was the tone. I was treated as though I was being unreasonable for asking about a fee for a brief confirmation letter related to my child's health. About a year ago, my husband's care was discontinued by the practice following another negative front-office interaction. At the time, my daughter remained a patient. After this most recent experience, it became clear that respectful communication and patient-centered service are not priorities here. Healthcare offices should treat families with professionalism and courtesy, especially when dealing with matters involving a child's medical needs. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. There was no meaningful attempt to address concerns or de-escalate the situation--just a termination letter. My daughter remained a patient. More recently, we requested a simple letter confirming our daughter's documented asthma diagnosis. We were told it would cost $50 for a basic note stating a known medical condition. When we asked reasonable questions about the fee, the response was not professional--it was defensive and rude. This is not about whether an office can charge for paperwork. It is about how patients and families are treated when seeking straightforward documentation tied to their child's health. Healthcare practices should prioritize patient care, communication, and professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience reflected the opposite: unnecessary friction, dismissive tone, and a lack of respect toward a concerned parent. We will be moving on. Families deserve better. read more

I am sincerely disappointed in the service that was given to my husband by the front desk. The level of unprofessionalism was disgusting and disrespectful. We have been patients of Dr. Brown's for over 20 years. I really enjoy him as a doctor and would highly recommend him. Through the years our insurance has changed, and now we attempted to return to him, as we have in the past when our insurance has covered his office again. With PPO insurance there is no co-pay, and with a wellness visit/annual exam there is definitely no charge. Covered at 100%. The office staff insisted there was a $15 fee to "re-establish" service. My husband reluctantly paid and then called me to verify. Once explaining there should not be a fee, he asked to be refunded. Only to realize they ran the card for $75! He then demanded a refund. The office staff argued with him that she told him the correct amount and he didn't listen. Once speaking with the office manager they reluctantly refunded the $75 but then told him he was no longer a patient at this office. We got a certified letter in the mail days letter stating he could no longer be a patient. It was rude, inconvenient and entitled of the office staff! I've never heard/seen a business in customer service argue at the counter that the person didn't listen correctly...especially when it comes to payment or someone's money. I was a patient of Dr. Dang at Dr. Brown's office. I felt Dr. Dang had good bed side manners and took his time explaining to you the happenings of your health, even providing print outs. The reason I do not recommend this office is due to the office personnel. I refuse to be aggravated further by the office personnel. Nothing out of the ordinary, they just don't want to be bothered to do their job. It's unfortunate the doctors condone this behavior, as I'm sure it's no secret with the level of sass happening. I would have continued to choose Dr. Dang if it wasn't for the office experience. read more

He is a wonderful doctor! He has been our family doctor for many years. When my health insurance was switched to Kaiser, I sometimes paid out of pocket to see him. He is very kind, patient and thorough. He takes his time to make sure you understand everything he is saying. I am so glad my new insurance will allow me to return to his practice. read more

Not happy with Dr. Brown's practice right now. The hours of operation suck, his front desk staffs lack professionalism in my opinion. In the beginning I ranted and raved about Dr. Brown but when I reflect back, it was because of the great referrals provided by his nurse Jasmine who I haven't seen there anymore. I used to be able to call and leave a message for Jasmine or leave a message on the patient portal but neither seem to be working for me anymore; she was prompt on responding back. I started seeing the military doctor who I am making progress with. Not truly a fan of military medical but it's better than having to take 15 steps to find out what's ailing you. Besides the VA doctor I have is excellent and so far thorough. She also has far more patients than Dr. Brown and is able to answer questions and address issues in a timely manner. I could go on and on about my issues with Dr. Brown's office but I'm not. read more

Dr Brown has been my and my family's primary care doctor for years. He and his staff are very caring and they monitor our health carefully. He and his nurse practitioner believe in patient education and always take the time to answer our questions and address our concerns. Their medical advice has always been spot-on. They work well with our specialists, too. I can't recommend them highly enough. read more

Very let down by Dr. Brown & his staff!! Dr. Brown "was" our family Doctor for approximately 11 years! That all ended this year in May! My husband was in a motorcycle accident & needed to see Dr. Brown for a follow up visit after going to the emergency room. He needed disability papers filled out. (Which he charges $60.00 to fill out) my husband called the office to ask them a couple if questions & he spoke to the nurse. She got frustrated with him because my husband didn't understand her! She wasn't answering his questions that made sense to him. She was very unprofessional! Dr. Brown got on the phone & answer my husband questions then told him he can pick up his paperwork & he'll no longer be a patient of his!? Because he questioned his nurse?? Really?! Years we've been going there!! We've been taking our kids there since they were babies! Very let down! read more

One Star is too many. However Yelp will not you rate lower. If you like numerous fees, no communication, and unprofessional-ism, then this is the doctor for you. With Dr. Brown since 2001. As the years passed, moving his office from place to place, the additional fees for almost everything, and declining ability to communicate with him, I was apparently fired by his office to no longer return. This was after I refused to pay a fee I was never informed of. And to top it all off, I was informed by mail. Rather than in person when I disputed and questioned the fee. I scheduled an appointment the beginning of January, the 1st available appointment was for today Feb 14th, on Friday evening at 4pm the receptionist calls and states I need to fill out the paperwork before I come to the appointment or my appointment will be cancelled on Monday. I check my email fill out the link that was sent asking health questions, insurance info etc. This morning I get a call saying my appointment was cancelled because I unknowingly filled out the wrong paperwork that they sent me. I had to fill out something else as well and since I didn't I can't come to an appointment I made a month and a half ago and I can't fill it out now it's too late even though my appointment is 2 hrs away. Usually you can go to any doctor and fill out the paperwork in the office same time, I was told I couldn't even fill it out now which was 2 hours before my appointment. Ridiculous when I had to make several other arrangements with my kids because it's a holiday today and they don't have school as well as work. I told them about the inconveniences and they still were only concerned about this paperwork that must be filled out days before the appointment. Very disappointing! Their process is flawed. My family and friends will no longer be going there anymore. read more

I have been going here for a little over a year and have never had a good experience. I had tonsillitis for 4 months and Dr. brown made me do unnecessary blood work and tests. I told him my throat was bothering me and it was painful, I had swollen lymph nodes and tonsil stones but all he waved it off and said "that doesn't worry me". Even though that was my primary reason for visiting. Finally after months of painful eating and begging to do a throat culture, a throat swab was taken. I was diagnosed with strep throat. Which could have been treated months before if, as a doctor he did his job and would have listen to his patient. Reception does not call you back when they say they will. I will no longer be going here. read more
