    Two of Jamestown Vets patients!

Jamestown vet has been all my animals vet for well over 20 years. From baby's to their spays & neutering to annual shots, well ness check ups and even end of life care and the inevitable last great kindness we can give them (sending them over the rainbow bridge) Jamestown Vet is the absolute best.

Horrible horrible vet! I wouldn't even bring a rock here I'm seriously surprised that they are some how still in business. Took my 1 year old cat in to be spayed later that afternoon I received a call letting me know that my cat was ready to be picked up and that surgery went well . When I arrived they kept her in the crate I brought her in which was honestly the first red flag as soon as I got her home and took her out I noticed that she was left with an opened wound. I quickly called Jamestown vet to see why and what happened the vet laughed at me and told me it was impossible and to bring her back the next day. When we got into the clinic she said it was infected and needed antibiotics (that they still made me pay for on-top of paying for the surgery) I personally feel they knew about the wound being left opened and they neglected to check her . I kept her in an after surgery suit as well as a cone to make sure she did not lick the area and had her complete the whole cycle of medication. This vet needs to be shut down and that lady's vet license needs to be taken away she has no idea what she's doing and is SO unprofessional not to mention the clinic is filthy.

I have never had a problem with them. They are fair priced they even saved my pup who ended up with parvovirus after she got her first set of shots. They were very helpful and I was shocked that I didn't have to pay no more then 120 and that cover the medicine and the antibiotics. My dog who was cane Corso and Pitt mix.

They treated my dog and I professional and were very caring. I made an emergency appt because my dog hurt his front paws while camping. I was able to be seen right away and I was charged a reasonable price, much lower than expected. I highly recommend this office for anyone that has an aggressive breed and is tired of being treated poorly at a vet's office. Thank you for taking such great care of my boy!

He once put back together our cat, Sissy, she got run over. The x-rays were just heartbreaking. She had 13 fractures most of which needed hardware fixation. I could not believe it could be done, but very amazingly, he put her all back together. Sissy was up and and returned to her normal sassy self . She was running around again in 2-3 weeks. Last week he got a foxtail out of my Bella ( 14 years old Terrier), just with local anesthesia. He even did a fluorescence exam of her eye to make sure there was no corneal ulcer. Dr Singh and staff explained all costs before taking Bella back. I know he could've opted to say she needed a general anesthesia and labs, but he wanted to put her through as little as possible given her age, not to mention the added cost that would be involved. The staff all loved on my Bella. Miss Bella, instead of wanting to go back to the car outside, was pulling me back to the surgical area, almost like she wanted to say bye and thank you to the entire team. Dr. Singh and everyone was so gentle. Knowing Bella's sweet nature, and everybody's compassion, i'm not surprised , because at this age, she usually never wants to leave my side. I work in healthcare and after 30 years, believe me I can instantly "smell" the difference between humane and ethical care versus profit as the more important interest. Through the life cycles of five different pets, I am eternally greatful to Dr. Singh and his staff for being that " Diamond in the rough," especially at a time when a profit mentality is taking over both the human and animal healthcare industry. In summary, he is a fantastic doctor with a fantastic team.

We found a Chi/ pug mix at the Humane Society of Jamestown and made an appt for a Saturday when we both would be off work. Frida and "Tango" seemed to hit it off immediately at the greeting. They played well and it seemed like a great fit. The facility was impressive and the girl who brought "Tango" in for the meet and greet was sweet. We went to lunch and talked about it and decided to take him home. They said we could foster for a month to decide. We filled out the application for that and took him home to Modesto. "Tango" turned out to be full of energy and Frida being older had a hard time adjusting. We did everything we could to monitor them together and they seemed to work it out on their own. On the site, before even contacting them, he was 3. As we had him longer, it became apparent that he was younger. Luckily Frida is quite tolerant and they play well even though "Tango" wants to rough house a lot. My biggest concerns: They never asked to see pics of our home/ yard. We seemed to have the opposite experience than most of the others that reviewed. They handed him over almost too easily. They didn't check on him for over 2 weeks. When they finally called i brought up his age, they said they'd look at his file and that he was 1.5 years. I had seen another dog on their site that interested us, and asked about him and the girl rudely asked "so you may want to bring back "Tango" and try "Chico"? and I said we could possibly want to adopt them both. She said "Chico" had a leg issue and was going to see a specialist. I said I'd like to know the outcome. Her general attitude was put-out at best. We decided to keep "Tango" and he is now called Lanegan. I called them about 5 days before the 30 day foster was up to pay his adoption fee and was never asked one question about how he has doing, how they get along. Nothing!!! I found that really sad that they cared so little about his well being and adjustment to our home. Just and over all strange experience. We are happy with Lanegan and Frida seems to enjoy having a new friend around.

Around 8pm on march 21st my cat started having trouble breathing and she started convulsing. She wasn't breathing until my brother would shake her to start breathing again. We rushed her to this emergency clinic but she sadly passed away in my brothers arms in the car just two minutes from the clinic. The team was fantastic. One of the members there who took my cat to the back let us stay there for as long as I needed and didn't judge me for crying loudly. My mother paid $600 in total for my beloved cat to be cremated and to have a clay print of her paws which in my opinion is a great price. About a week(ish) later we got to pick up her ashes and the clay print we were promised and I believe the team went above and beyond. I received a card with the team's signatures and a certificate of cremation.

Following a minor miscommunication regarding pricing from other staff members, an older employee became confrontational and began calling my husband names being racist to him!!. She even went as far as making inappropriate comments about our family and children. Regardless of any misunderstanding, there is never an excuse for staff to speak to clients in such a disrespectful and unprofessional manner. Instead of addressing the situation professionally and taking accountability for the confusion, the behavior we experienced was unacceptable. We entrusted this facility with the care of our pet and expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, that was not the case. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this clinic to others who expect professionalism, respectful communication, and accountability from veterinary staff.
