We were in town from California and our daughter's family brought us to Jamie's Local Flavor. The catfish here is a must! It's somehow fluffy and tender. It's the best I have ever had and we go to The Catfish Hole all the time! I prefer Jamie's catfish ten fold! The desserts are sublime! The sides were fabulous. Wowsers, that was so good. We were driving and we needed a place to eat and my dad saw the place. He goes oh, we should go to that restaurant. And so my mom looked it up and it had great reviews so we popped in. The moment we walked on I new it was going to be awesome. And boy was I RIGHT! Good homemade down home fixins. The wife had the glazed salmon and said it was delicious. She loved the glaze sauce. I tried the chicken fried steak since the nice gentleman at the table behind us recommended it as well as the waiter did so as well. It was very tender and juicy. The mashed taters were homemade and creamy allowing for just a few lumps to remind you that it is the real deal. TBH the size of the chicken fry was almost the size of a basketball. I couldn't even get a 3rd of the way around my plate. You could probably feed 2-3 people off that same plate. The place is very casual and laid back but very busy. Their desserts looked great but obviously we didn't have any room after trying and failing to conquer the huge meal. Definitely a place to grab some good food if you're in the area. read more

Mash potatoes w extra cheese & bacon (compromise my travel companion wanted mash - I wanted baked - so walla extra cheese & bacon add on -lol) Side salad & great dinner roll! Walked over to pick up was ready in stated 15minutes. Staff friendly, order was waiting for me. What a great place! We stopped in for breakfast on our way back to Texas from Branson, and it was AWESOME! My husband loved his breakfast burrito, I had some delicious French toast, and the kids enjoyed their fluffy pancakes. I wish we could have tried their lunch/dinner options, too, and the desserts in the glass case looked delicious, too. We will definitely stop back here on our next trip up this way! Bacon battered and fried app was very unique and flavor was good. A little was slightly over cooked but it's served with a glorious ranch dressing. Half lb burger was excellent, blackened shrimp salad was good but could've had more shrimp on it (6 medium, I think), catfish was delicious, grilled chicken salad was flavorful. Both French fries and sweet potato fries were very good. Not chocolate chip cheesecake was meh, mango key lime cheesecake had great flavor although my son said the syrup on the plate wasn't his favorite. Food is quite good, but lacks distinction. I'd still recommend. In general it is much better than ordering dominoes or the like available in this town. Their burgers are generous, their pasta is good. I'd say they lack seasoning, but not an unreasonable amount. read more

Really great place. The food was all very tasty and reasonably priced! Having spent the week in Branson, it was refreshing to see normal pricing. I had the chicken and waffles and it was very good, although the bourbon maple glaze really didn't have much of a bourbon flavor to it, and it could have also been served warm. That would have improved the experience. My wife the the pulled pork "pigwich" and said it was also very good. Only one downside on today's trip. My meal came with two sides, and when she asked what I wanted, I inquired as to whether the baked beans had onions in them and remarked that I couldn't have onions (my stomach is sensitive to them, so I hesitate to say "allergy, but it's almost an allergy I suppose). She said that they did have onions in them, so I ordered the green vegetables instead. The server did not mention that the green beans also have onions in them, so I wasn't able to eat any of those either, unfortunately. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go back for sure! read more

Not the greatest service today our waitress was a girl, she took about 20min to get our drinks, she came out saying that there were no servers and that they were short on staff. She also mentioned that where we were sitting was not her area to wait on us, while we saw her taking orders all over our section, so that was BS. Also the food tasted like it came out of the microwave, I felt sick after eating there. I normally get salads when I go and they are good, but I wanted to try something new so I got the chicken Alfredo and it was not good at all . Btw they were not busy today! We were seated promptly and were immediately greeted by our server Kat. She was great with recommendations and even brought me a sample of the gumbo which I ordered. It had a light roux and a great smokey flavor from the pulled chicken. My wife had the lemon chicken with strawberry and mandarin orange salad. While the first couple of bites were dry, the remainder was delicious. We finished with a beautiful bread pudding to share. Kat was terrific throughout the entire meal and a lot of fun.
