    Jerked Chicken $18 plus tax
    Lukasz O.

I got food from here before and it was good but this time around I was definitely disappointed. I got an order of jerk chicken with rice beans plantains and salad. The chicken was 4 small size pieces which is ok but it was mostly bones with a just a handful piece of actual meat. The rice and beans was good plantains were ok not bad. The salad was good too nothing special. Probably the best thing out of all this were the sauce packets I got here to be honest, sauce was very good. With all that said this box cost me $18 plus tax. This is definitely not worth it in my opinion and most likely I will not get come here again since the quality went down and it's overpriced.

First time trying this cart location and the food was good but given the protein portion it was a bit on the pricey side. Chicken was little dry but the oxtail, rice and salad were great. It Is nice to have the option in the neighborhood when you have a craving.

I was super in the mood for Jamaican food today due to a huge upcoming reggae concert with legendary Buju Banton in New York today and stumbled across this food cart with authentic smokers and the smell alone drew me in! It was meant to be! The service was awesome and they were super nice which is sometimes hard To find in a Carribean food spot lmao IYKYK!! Lmao. I'm happy to know they also do delivery . The food was great and set my day ready to go to the show ! I had the staples Oxtail and Rice/Peas and Jerk chicken (super authentic ) w must try !!!!! Glad to have this place Near me!

They were at a pop up in Astoria near 30th Avenue and smelled amazing! Really wanted to try the oxtail but they said the pork is good too. The flavors were on point and they packed it full, came to $20 something with tax. Came with plantains and salad, rice , would definitely get again!

I ordered the Jerk Pork, rice and peas, salad, plantain and mac and cheese. I thought the portions were decent. I made two meals out of it. The jerk sauce that they provide in a packet is delicious. I took a star away because I felt that it was super expensive (almost $30) and I thought they could've done a better job with the mac and cheese. The flavor was pretty bland. The girls that were taking orders and packing food were pretty friendly and efficient.

Jerk chicken taste good with the rice but the jerk sauce they gave was way too sweet like strawberry jam sauce. Didn't fit well with the spicy rice and chicken meat in my opinion. I am glad they gave sauce packets instead of pouring it all over themselves. The price was expensive at about 19 dollars for one medium box of chicken and rice. In my opinion 13 would be a fair price.....Overall I liked it and there was a good amount of meat , in the photo it doesn't show that well but it's there underneath.

Jamrock is some of the best food in forest hills. I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and salad. The chicken was delicious and moist and the portion was enough for 2 meals. It also comes with a small salad and plantains. There's always a line before they open, so I went around 12:30-1pm and there was no wait, so I just ordered in person. Can't wait to try the rest of their food!

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately it wasn't what I expected. To order we had to wait over 10mins for someone to ask and we were the only ones there, that's apart from me asking who can I place my order with. Than the staff all seemed upset and with an attitude. Waited another 15mins to get the food and on top of that it was cold and just wasn't what I thought it would be. The rice was bland, Mac and cheese was super dry, the chicken was ok, a little too spicy for my liking, we wanted to enjoy the outdoor seating but the amount of bees as we sat was insane, Not sure if I would give it a second chance.

Every Friday, my four of us pick a different takeout spot, and without fail, someone always says, "Can we just get The Door?" We've had the curry goat, Rasta pasta, jerk chicken, fried chicken, oxtail, Esco chicken, soups, and the chicken patttttttties... mi God. Mi never taste a food wicked suh yet! Everything is consistently flavorful, fresh, and cooked with love. It's honestly become one of our go to spots because we know exactly what we're getting every single time. In my previous review, I mentioned a less than stellar experience. Looking back, maybe they were just having an off day or maybe I got the pot bottom. Whatever the reason, they've been nothing short of amazing ever since. Whether they changed chefs or tightened things up, whatever you're doing... DON'T CHANGE NADA! And I have to give an honorary shout out to Desrene, one of the wonderful team members who takes the takeout orders. She is ALWAYS pleasant, professional, and genuinely kind. It honestly brightens my day whenever I hear her voice on the other end of the phone. Consistency is everything in the restaurant business, and The Door has absolutely earned this updated 5-star review. Keep doing what you're doing!

Every bite was full of flavor, and the meat practically fell off the bone. The doubles were just as impressive. The shop is steady busy with takeout orders and the occasional folks (like me) who wanted to sit and enjoy my first doubles there. They only have two tables and chairs. Most people order to go. You may order at the kiosk and wait for your number to be called when it is ready to pick up. The kiosk is good because it easily shows all the sauces you may add to your doubles and the variety of other things like drinks, etc you may order. There is also the option to get in line and place your oder. You can watch the assembly line of workers quickly making food. Then check out with the cashier. They sell lots of different cakes, breads, nuts, and drinks too. I was a little overwhelmed on what to order, but a nice employee helped me out. I showed him what I was trying to order and asked for suggestions. Thanks to him I had the best doubles! Added tamarind sauce, mango chutney, and the benny sauce. The perfect vegetarian meal for $2.50! It is made of roti (flatbread), curried chickpeas, and topped with the sauces. Then rolled up to make a sandwich. So flavorful! I wasn't too sure which drink to get as I wasn't sure what they all tasted like. Chose the Seamoss drink, which is a mix of milk, seams, nutmeg, and some spices. Milky and not overly sweet. This was good. Maybe next time I'll get sorrel, which is hibiscus. They said the peanut drink is good too. Ordered Pholourie with tamarind sauce. These are fried savory dough balls. I couldn't resist getting a sweet treat. So, I randomly picked the salara bread, which looks like a cinnamon swirl bread slice. It is actually stuffed with shredded coconut that is colored red and tastes like cherry. Pretty good and not overly sweet. Definitely add this place to your list of eats in Queens. It is a trek from the city, but so good! Also, nice that it is a little bit away from the loud busy part of Liberty Ave in Richmond Hill. This is about a 15-20 min walk from there on Lefferts Blvd. Restroom available.

Sigh of relief, it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making for a great dining experience. Every dish that came to the table was packed with bold, flavourful Caribbean-inspired flavors. The standout dishes of the night were the whole red snapper, the oxtail fried rice, and the Continental Burger. We also loved the Brussels sprouts, Scotch bonnet fried chicken, and tamarind jerk wings. We found the spicy lamb chops were a bit over cooked and there was zero spice. We also enjoyed a variety of mocktails and cocktails. Each dish had its own unique character, and everything was cooked with care and bursting with flavor. The atmosphere is definitely one of the highlights -- sexy, grown, and sophisticated without feeling stuffy. There were lots of couples enjoying date night along with a few other groups of girlfriends, and the DJ was great and kept the vibes going all night. The food was absolutely the star. We shared several dishes, including the oxtail lo mein, salmon, mac & cheese and wings, and everything was flavorful and delicious. We finished with dessert, which was just as good. Definitely come hungry! The cocktails were probably the one area that didn't quite live up to the rest of the experience. They weren't bad, but considering how good the food and overall atmosphere were, I expected the drinks to be a little stronger/better. That said, we had a great night. Between the food, music, beautiful interior and lively atmosphere, Continent is a great choice for a late dinner, date night or girls' night out. I would absolutely come back
