    Large Oxtail
    Dane B.

Came here for a large oxtail and rice and peas, the plate was a good sized portion, piping hot, and well seasoned. Will definitely be back. Only issue is that they don't have a physical menu, you have to look online. The service was average (for a Jamaican restaurant lol) and the location was very clean and you could see the food right infront of you.

Every so often you crave a certain food, been wanting ox tail. My wife and son were never interested and to make it for one is a no go. Read a lot of good things about this place and jerk ox tail sounds perfect right about now. Taste was spot on and portions were very nice. I'll be back to try some of their other offerings.

Hello!! Guys my Name is (Kenyatta Laws) & I wanna say that I tried out (Raggea cuisine) for the 1st time & I must admit .... I loved it now I see what All the hype is All about...well just 2start off I must admit I am still a ( Jamaican Dutch Pot) loverbut I am Also now a ( Raggea cuisine) lover aswell kopy especially after now trying it out 4myself for the 1st time kopy...it was on a Friday night on (November -7-2025)I had a taste for (jerk chicken Rasta Pasta)mine Yu I Never...ever... had...it ever kopy...so mine Yu I called everywhere & every place that I called didn't have it...I was like Yikes Madd tight ...if yu can picture it ...so then I stumbled upon (Raggea cuisine)by accident..but it later became the best accident ever ya'digg I can't believe I never knew about these Guys...& The whole time they were only right down the block from my usually hunt I Go to (Jamaican Dutch Pot) which I also love ....who also provides PPL with a Large & full wholesome meal... But not Gonna lie...as far as Taste wise....ummm!!!I can't necessary!! Say already being I only ordered from (Raggea cuisine)Time & I ordered from (Jamaican Dutch Pot) more then alittle bit...not Gonna lie (Raggea Cuisine)I will admit....was amazingly Good that speak volumes for (Raggea Cuisine) but being I only ordered once from them ...it definitely won't be my last & That's a fact...but also I only ordered once so far I just hope it's persistent....& They also gave me bang 4my buck just like...(Jamaican Dutch) But not gonna lie...if I had 2say who provide a person or single individual with more it haft 2still be (Jamaican dutchie) who wins that....they are not stingy at All....& Not gonna lie as far as (menu wise)is concerned I would say that (Raggea Cuisine) just may have a bigger listing & variety of different kinds & different flavors of types of Foods....but as far as who may have a cleaner & more elegant & more vibrant of environment....ummm!! Tho I never... ever.... Really been 2 (Raggea Cuisine) in Person....but from how it looks from off of the (Web browser)it looks amazingly clean & not bad environment & Abit of space....but as far as (Jamaican Dutch Pot) I would say it's clean as well or not bad ...2me but it has an amazingly bit of space & with an elegant & vibrant vibe with a DJ constantly playing (Jamaican Raggea music) so Yu can fit right at home if yu are from the mother land or any music of your choice if yu wherever the individual is from ....so the individual person can fit & feel rite @Home....kopy with both providing a lovely area outting or outside area where you can both sit & enjoy the local environment or location kopy ...& To end it off...as far as who have the cheaper price not Gonna lie almost instantly...I will admit (Jamaican Dutch Pot) wins that hands down kopy ....but overall I Got love for both places (Jamaican Dutch Pot & Raggea Cuisine) tho I just bought from them the 1st time kopy!!.....that speak very high volumes for (Raggea Cuisine) after my 1st which I only ordered once so far...& Definitely will not be my last as amazingly Good it was & taste & not 2mention I couldn't find (Jerk Rasta Pasta) from nobody & the bit of places that did have it was either to far...so the tax to deliver was Gonna be ker'Razy!! Or either it costed to much from jump or to start with Yikes smh or it was gonna be far to little serving or not worth the bang for its buck ...so I am once again so happy to stumble by accident N2 (Raggea Cuisine) which is the best accident I could ever made.... extended version Yu can hear & see on my Facebook page (Kenyatta Laws) with( Jesus Christ) on white horses shooting bow N arrows out of the sky & last also on my (YouTube channe)l which Yu can find by searching for @Kenyattalaws-k4o Ok guys Yu should be able to see All my videos & I'm so sorry I made a whole novel for yu Guys 2read kopy So if just going on my "FB"page or videos on my "YT" channel Please do....Yatta!! The service was amazing, and the lady prepping my food was very nice. It was my first time here, and I'll be back for sure! The price for a medium oxtail plate was $21 which is a little expensive but I'm willing to pay the price because the food was great and the portions are huge. I'll be trying something else when I come back. The restaurant was clean and had tables too :) ty for the great hospitality

The new hostess and the greeting by Phillipe could not have made us feel any more welcome. We were offered a choice of seating and while we love the look and feel of the back patio it was a bit too cool and breezy out there.... We decided to sit in the front room as it is generally quieter and more low key. There were many larger groups with celebrations and you could see they were all having a good time. Our waiter Luis, came and introduced himself, brought our menus and inquired about water, drinks, etc. We told him we wanted only pumpernickel rolls: they are warm, fresh out of the oven and truly addictive. Our waters and my white Zinfandel arrived shortly thereafter. Our fresh goat cheese salad arrived with the raspberry vinaigrette and as always it was carefully divided. Luis came to check on everything as he and other staff members ( both members who we know through dining here repeatedly over the years) and new additions. Everyone always treats you like family. Very good pacing of the meal.... Nice and leisurely, not rushed but no long breaks between courses. Then our main dishes arrived. My husband had the pappardelle with mixed seafood, no sausage- plentiful and loaded with flavor. I get the shrimp a La Rodos.... 5 very nice sized shrimp with with lots of diced fresh tomatoes and feta cheese, served with my 2 favorite side dishes- mashed potatoes and beets.... All YUMMY and very generous portions. My husband's Stella Artois arrives in a nice cold glass with the main dish, as requested. Luis again checks on everything and then shortly thereafter we get the surprise of the evening. Peter, the new owner stops by and chats with us. It was a pleasure to meet him: we are sure he is very busy running back and forth between his two restaurants. and making sure that everything is going smoothly. We had a lot to talk about. Well, he has a tough act to follow but so far the food, service and hospitality are still 5 star !!! We ended our meal on a high note. A FABULOUS meal has to end on a sweet note. We were offered about 5 or 6 dessert choices. We selected the chocolate mousse cake. A rich, creamy sweet conclusion to a superb meal served by a warm, caring staff. Everyone including Luis, Felipe and the new hostess gave us a fond Farewell on the way out. We eagerly look forward to returning after their vacation at the beginning of August !! Congratulations, Peter, Phillipe and staff !

While waiting at the bar for a friend to arrive, I was swarmed by fruit flies, which should have been my first warning sign. The pours at the bar were skimpy, but I tried to shake it off once we got our table. The service there was actually friendly, and our server proudly told us the duck was a top seller, so we ordered it along with a salad and a fish dish. Most of what came out of the kitchen was diner quality at best--nothing special, but not offensive. The duck, however, was a disaster. It tasted old and stale, like it had been sitting in a freezer for months before being rushed through a fryer. The meat was fried to a dry, brittle crisp, and the only flavor came from a cloying sweet duck sauce slapped on top. No richness, no tenderness, no redeeming qualities. We absolutely hated our meal and the entire time we spent there. I can't recommend this place to anyone who actually cares about what they eat.

Our waitress was responsive to whatever we needed. The prices are a little high for the portion size, but the food is great quality. My vinho verde was a nice size pour. My husband loved the Iberian ham here. We both had the garlic shrimp which were very well flavored but unfortunately didn't have even one garlic clove, which was disappointing and there were only 6 shrimp. The olive oil they were in was great though and we dipped our food into it and they were perfectly cooked. The paella is supposed to be for 2-4 people which I can see if you have more tapas but we finished it off. It came with a healthy amount of shrimp, grilled calamari and chorizo and was perfectly seasoned. We also appreciated how the rice was a bit crispy and not mushy. The table next to ours ordered what appeared to be a very good looking fruit cobbler of some kind but we were too stuffed for dessert. They also have a weekday happy hour before 6pm that looks good with deals on booze. Really enjoyed this spot! Conveniently located in the middle of garden city with ample free parking.

We ordered shrimp, steak on the bone, bone marrow, potatoes, polenta, broccolini, shishieto peppers, and paella for dinner to share. We all enjoyed our food. For desserts we got the lemon and blueberry pudding, was delicious. I loved the bread pudding. My grandfather enjoyed his Nutella chocolate.

Portions for both dishes were generous and took home the leftovers. We also shared the Brussels sprouts and the infamois complimentary bread, which were really good. The second and most recent time we went was for dinner with the a huge group of moms. We shared the Caesar salad, Brussels sprouts, and general two's cauliflower, which was amazing. I had the red sangria and a taste of the Huckleberry lemonade, drinks were strong. For the entrees I ordered the salmon and once again portion was huge, took it home and the hubby ate the leftovers. Other moms ordered the frose, spicy paloma, le poulet and spicy Rigatoni. At the end we had key lime pie which tasted great but I was too full to finish it.
