Fries

This peri peri chain originating in the Washington DC area has arrived to Rego Park. Food here is halal. They have burgers, fried chicken and peri peri chicken (an Africa spicy rotisserie style chicken). The farmhouse burger (smash burger with a fried egg) and fries were delicious and satisfying. The peri peri chicken was also good. We ordered it mild but there was barely any heat at all. Could have gone with a higher heat level. The side of spiced rice was delicious and went well with the chicken.

Original grilled chicken with hot sauce and fries

I ordered the grilled chicken with fries and hot spicy level. Fries were made to order. Chicken was moist and sauce had a little ting to it but it wasnt really spicy. Would love to trt it again with a higher spice level.

Fries, mango mojito and part of the platter

Came across this new spot as their bright sign got my attention and I've heard some good things about Peri Peri chicken. They have a pretty extensive menu so take your time and see all they have. We ordered the Peri Peri wrap, quarter chicken over rice, kids cheeseburger meal with Peri Peri fries and a mango mojito. The food took about 18 minutes to be ready and we took it to go. We had the food about 7 minutes after that so the change in temperature from the pickup to eating was not significant. The wrap was good but too saucy as the chicken and lettuce got lost in the sauce also it stated it comes with pico de gallo but either it was very little or they forgot to put it. The quarter chicken over rice said leg and thigh so I assumed two pieces but was just one piece of a small leg thigh. They should reword the menu info as it's a little misleading. I got that with their mild sauce and it's similar to Halal white sauce. The rice was good and maybe a little more veg/salad would have been nice. The kids meal cheeseburger was pretty well sized and if their smash burgers are similar I might have to try it. The Peri Peri fries were ok and nothing special about the seasoning. It had some sitting under the heat lamp texture and temperature to it. It could have been regular fries and I wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Lastly the mango mojito was good, not too sweet and very light mango taste. All in all a good meal but nothing memorable to be honest. Just some notes, they charge higher prices if using a credit card. They do not have any online or delivery options yet. When I called they said they can deliver locally and charge a fee which may be $5 but aren't sure. Some little things I noticed while waiting for the food as I was the only customer at the time and three tables and the floor had food debris which should have cleaned up as it's a nice new looking interior and to see it unkept isn't a good look. Wish the place the best and hope they get better.

Honey butter buzz

The food is sooo delicious and fresh I have almost tried all of their items from the menu, it's a 5 star service and the ambiance is very cool. I love the food I crave it almost everyday. The chef personally comes and asks the guests also the lady at the front is also very helpful Over all amazing customer service and delicious food 100% recommended

Peri peri chicken with rice, fries, and mango mojito

The staff were really attentive and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious! There's no place like this on the block!! The flavors and presentation are on point I got the peri peri chicken with rice and fries, a mango mojito, and the classic bull burger. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The best part is you can adjust the spice levels too. This spot is definitely my go to place!

Great value too (for $50 you can get a family combo that includes a variety of sandwiches, wraps, wings, A WHOLE CHICKEN, fries, nuggets, cheese sticks, and a large soda!). Aside from the soft drinks, they also serve hot/iced espresso and coffee. Seriously, don't sleep on the espresso drinks... you can save a few "bucks" by coming here instead and supporting this small business (hehe, see what I did there?). Clean indoor seating is available (small tables that fit about 4 adults). The girl at the counter is always super sweet. She kindly covered the coffee sipper with a sticker that had a sweet note on it. )This Americano will help me through the rest of my hospital shift!) I will continually return!

My toddler likes her a lot and wants to play with her and visit every so often. The food across the board is delicious. I have pretty much tried everything here except a few of the appetizers and the pistol legs. The only item that I don't particularly like is the pumpkin pie, while it's tasty and has a nice texture I don't really taste any pumpkin. I hope this place stays open would really be a good staple and some added variety to the restaurants available in the few blocks of stores located in this section of 108 street.

Wings were extra crispy and drenched wonderfully in their soy garlic sauce and the shrimp was a perfect crisp ! The calamari and fries were fried perfectly. Didnt feel greasy or soggy like most places. 5/5 would definitely order again with a group a friends. The korean fried chicken at this location is better than their sunnyside locstion and even mad for chicken. Quality here tastes better and cleaner than all other kfc places in the area(take out menu says customers can tour kitchen to check their cleanliness). This is my go-to korean fried chicken spot and I'm surprised it doesn't receive more business during the week. Parking might be slightly inconvenient, but usually I can find a spot relatively easily.

Everything was hot and fresh, and their chicken in the sandwich was AMAZING! I rather go here than Chic-Fil-A inside QCM's food court around the corner! Also, they were VERY hospitable! Good mannered, even gave me a lot of napkins as it gets messy handling the chickenjoy. They even catered towards my side interest of getting me a clean box for collector's purposes; they went above and beyond by not only giving me a flattened clean box, but also packaging the other foods in smaller containers and bags to keep the current box holding them CLEAN! Summarily, they are VERY hospitable and their food tastes amazing! I would love to come back again on my next visit in the area for a good Peach Mango Pie as a snack, or get a meal for a good lunch or dinner. Highly recommend!

What a neighborhood GEM!! Kuku Korean was fantastic! Fresh, tasty food at reasonable prices!…read more We (6 of us) were in the neighborhood for a Valentine's Day celebration and searched Yelp for a good ethnic restaurant in the area. We came across Kuku Korean and said YESSS, this is the place to go! The only wrench in our plans was that Kuku Korean doesn't take reservations; not even on Valentine's Day! They warned us that they expected to be very busy that evening, and to expect a wait. Ok, we made plans to go, but also made a Resy with another restaurant close by, as a backup plan in case there was a long wait for a table. But really, Kuku Korean was our preferred first choice. After our V Day event, we rushed over to Kuku Korean to see what the wait time was for a table for 6. It was just after 6pm, and the stars were aligned for us, because we got the last large table available! Woo Hoooo! Happy Valentine's Day to us!! We quickly cancelled our Resy with the other restaurant (sorry!) and perused Kuku Korean's fabulous menu. Our MENU (shared by 6ppl): ~ Seafood Pajeon ($24/large): Crispy battered pancake made with green onions & seafood (mussels, clams, squid, and shrimp). This was phenomenal! So much seafood and such a comforting dish...get this! ~ Veg Japche ($21): Stir-fried Korean vermicelli with Kuku soy-garlic Japchae sauce and assorted veggies. This dish was also available with various proteins but we opted for Veg since we were ordering other meat dishes. This dish was so flavorful and delicious. ~ Kuku Bibimbap ($24): Seasoned vegetables over rice, topped with a fried egg. Served with Kuku spicy bibim sauce. Again, you have the option of adding protein to this dish but we kept it veg. Another great dish! ~ Pork Galbi ($28): Char-grilled Pork ribs marinated in Kuku sauce, served with sauteed onions. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. The pork was cut in thick slices, which was surprising, but wow, this was phenomenal! So tasty and lean, and just delicious. ~ Beef Bulgogi ($33): Sauteed thinly sliced beef rib-eye marinated in Kuku sauce with mushroom, Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. Another phenomenal dish. Bursting with flavor. -- Spicy Squid ($28): Stir-fried squid in spicy Kuku gochujang sauce, onions, hot pepper and carrot. Served with kimachi, daily banchan & purple rice. This squid was prepared perfectly; not over cooked nor rubbery! Great dish. - Ban Chan: generous unlimited servings; fresh & delicious. These 6 dishes, plus Ban Chan was perfect for 6 ppl to share. We finished everything and were fully satisfied. Every single dish was delicious and we ALL said we wanted to return to Kuku Korean to repeat some dishes and try new dishes. Customer service and atmosphere were great. The busser staff did an amazing job and were even more attentive than our server (who we only saw twice)...kudos to the bussers! They were so hard working, with a smiling, friendly attitude! Give them a raise! Looking forward to a return visit to Kuku Korean...hopefully SOON!!

When the bill arrived, we were shocked to see a **$2 charge for the ketchup**. At no point were we informed that there would be an extra charge. Not only was the lack of transparency frustrating, but this is also the **first restaurant in my adult life** that has charged for ketchup with an order of fries. It's not about the $2--it's about the principle. Charging for a basic condiment without letting customers know beforehand feels petty and leaves a bad impression. We genuinely liked this place, but this experience has made us rethink whether we'll be coming back.

I watch the end of the game in here. Inside looks nice, booth is comfortable. Lively decoration with a spinning floating lightbulb in each table. The air is a bit stuffy though. I only ordered a burger as I heard from other reviewers that it is the best burger. It is quite tasty. Burger is on the smaller side, size of my palm. For $22, it also came with French fries. It is a bit more to the expensive side if I compare to what I will pay for a double burger and fries at Burger joint at 7th street burger. I guess i paid for the atmosphere. Service is ok. The waitress is very quiet. I dont think she spoke more than 20 words to me. Mostly nodding at my request. She did refill my water without me asking. However, she didnt bring me utensils. I had to use the toothpick that held the burger together to eat the leftover crumbs. My hands is a bit sticky and smell like barbecue sauce as a result of it. Thats why I deduct a star

We tried the popcorn chicken thighs which was just okay for me but I don't like popcorn chicken normally so I had only had a 1-2 pieces, we wanted to try a lil something while we had drinks... The drinks ...hmm they tasted a bit too sweet for me.. They do sound creative, but too many sugary items... they even sold a cookie matched with a drink.. as if the drinks weren't sweet enough. We tried at least 6 of them and L doesn't really drink but took a sip from each of them. They're not really strong...I'm tiny and I wasn't close to drunk. I think I'd be full from all that liquid before I felt something. It's a nice bar but we left since the drinks weren't strong and had too many sweet ingredients in a lot of them so it didn't appeal to me. Service was very efficient but it was just the one female waitress. The ratings are too high...it's more like 3.9.. than 4.9.
