Recently stayed 2 nights at the Jamul Resort. We had a standard 2 queen bedroom with a mountain view. This is not a luxury hotel, I don't care what anyone says, but it is a nice hotel. The rooms are modern in design and the entire resort is very clean and well-maintained. The water pressure in the shower was amazing! And the lighting controls in the room are cool to set the right mood. There is a coffee maker and one of those mini bar fridges that charger you if you take anything out. It was full of drinks, but I could only imagine the price. The Jamul 23 buffet is located in the lobby of the hotel and there is a rooftop pool and bar. The pool area is very small and can get very crowded, especially if there is any kind of special event. You will want to get there early if you want a lounge chair, because there are not to many of those as well. And also know there is not much in the form of shade. Overall, if you are look for a quick San Diego getaway and you don't want to drive too far, this is a great option. And I imagine most people are coming for the casino, which is a decent size casino!

We attended a Black History Month event here on 2/28/26. It is their Annual Black History Month celebration. There is a full Soul Food dinner included in the ticket. The Rooftop is the lounge venue that this event happens in every year. It is well setup with tables, dance floor, stage, and a full bar area. They have 2 guest Unisex restrooms where you can see the view of the sports field venue below. We were seated at Table #17 and it was in a perfect spot near the center of the room. The Soul Food for buffet served dinner: Delicious and tender Braised Short Rib, Collard Greens, Green Caesar Salad, Potato Salad, Yellow Rice Pilaf, Fried Crispy Chicken Wings, and Macaroni & Cheese. They had Banana Pudding individually portioned desserts and they had Pecan and Caramel flavors. We enjoyed the servers bringing us free water, free canned sodas, and you could also order whatever you'd like from the bar for a cost. I appreciated that the Jamul President & Chairman Mary Cheeks greeted all guests with a wonderful and warm welcome statement. She asked for a moment of silence for The Rev. Jesse Jackson, and it was beautiful. Jamul Casino had TV screens throughout the property and casino paying tribute to Black History Month. The screens included notable Black people, their summary contributions/achievements, and authentic photos of each honoree. These TVs were everywhere; excellent job! There was a band that performed was great. They sere high energy and they performed R&B, Soul, & Popular songs from the 1950s to the 2010s. We danced while we were there and the dance floor was packed! The food was good, my favorite was the Braised Short Rib, it was DELICIOUS! We appreciated Jenny who coordinated our seating and communicated with us on the event. She answered any questions that we had prior to attending. She is a wonderful hostess.

This is a big casino, it's beautiful. The parking structure is really big and a bit confusing to me. But we finally made it to the elevators that took us to the casino main floor. They had a live band playing. It was quite loud in there and very very busy this night. They have complimentary drinks. The food court was busy, took awhile to get our food. I heard it was busier than usual this particular night so I'll be back another day.

Been a few times. Very clean and good poker room. Love the pool on top of hotel and pool food. Rooms at hotel are nice.

We came for an afternoon of food and roulette and it pains me to say that we realized we prefer other casinos. We ate at one of restaurants and it was a great deal under $40 for 2 of us. However, the roulette table was a letdown. Only 1 was available and not only did it have $15 minimums, they had $5 chips only. Never have I been to a roulette table where all seats were filled and people didn't bet because everyone kept losing. We're used to slow playing and enjoying but we quickly left after the vibes were off. The free valet was nice but the pickup is on level 6. They asked us if we wanted water in our car which was appreciated. Overall, I like the roulette tables more at Sycuan and Viejas even though the parking situation isn't as convenient.

Stayed one night. Beautiful place. Ate at the taqueria. Go early because popular and also to avoid the heavy smoke. Great place to eat. Not a gambler but did see many people playing and happy. Restrooms cleaner and service overall good. The pool at the roof time truly beautiful but not deep enough to swim. I recommend. Great for mini vacations. Would be even better if it was a none smoking casino.

Update on this pathetic ass casino .... Been bringing my service dog here everyday day due to my anxiety... mighty funny security guard stoping me to tell me my 2 pound service dog that's in a purse that's zip up can not come inside.. mighty strange so many security guards to be available to come tell me about a little dog bit none to be found when I was having a major domestic violence in the hallway of their hotel... should put more focus on important things & places where people lives at danger ...

This review is specifically about the pool area, particularly the swim-up bar. The pool has become my favorite staycation spot, and I genuinely love the food, music, drinks, and overall vibe. Up until this visit, I had never had an issue with any of the staff. Unfortunately, my friend and I had a very negative experience with one of the bartenders at the swim-up bar. We sat patiently for about 35 minutes waiting to be helped. During that time, the bartender was primarily serving one side of the bar as well as guests swimming up directly to him, while our side was consistently overlooked. A nearby group even mentioned that he would be coming to our side shortly, and he confirmed that he would. However, when he finally came over, he skipped past us and helped a couple who had just swum up to the bar. My friend calmly said, "We just wanted to let you know we've been waiting for about 35 minutes." In response, he sarcastically said, "You and everybody else... feel free to go to another bar." My friend awkwardly laughed and said, "Okay, okay." What was most upsetting was that after serving another couple nearby, the bartender referred to my friend as "bitchy" while speaking to them. We were honestly shocked. It was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and offensive, especially considering my friend had spoken respectfully and calmly the entire time. I have visited Sycuan many times and have always received excellent service, which is why this experience stood out so much. I hope management addresses this situation so that other guests do not have a similar experience. The bartender's name was Martin. I still love Sycuan and will continue visiting, but I wanted to share this experience because it did not reflect the level of hospitality I've come to expect from this resort.

The smoking smell can be a bit much. The housekeeping apparently doesn't clean unless you ask. Didn't know this so had no housekeeping for four days. The 21 and up environment is great for adults who want to be adults without kids running around. The restaurants are decent. I would recommend Viewpoint for breakfast/brunch and dinner. The staff there during morning and night were all great. Rank and File is also a good choice for dinner. I only had soup from the Pink Buddha which was just okay. Bull and Bourbon was an absolute no for me. They took our reservation at 8:30pm, my party showed up early and got seated before then. We didn't get our food until after closing which was 10pm and it was cold. They then had started throwing out their food for the night. So we felt rushed and no dessert. Our waitress claimed that we didn't get seated until 9, which was false. She came to us at 9 and it felt like we were a forgotten party. The pool is great, especially the lazy river. We got a cabana which was great to have a dedicated spot. However we were not informed beforehand that the cabana rental was over at 5pm. The pool is open until 8. Really the only part of this resort that saved this review was the front desk staff for check in/out, Tara from the front desk, Viewpoint for breakfast and dinner, Rank and File - specifically JJ, I believe that was her name. Omg and for the male bartenders at the pool, pour the damn drinks and stop flirting. I shouldn't have to wait over 5 minutes for you to pour one god damn cocktail and then half arse my $30+ Pina Colada. The female bartenders at the pool were friendly and made the drinks properly.

I was sitting two seats away from her, and two casino attendants were standing nearby, waiting for her to return. Out of curiosity, I approached the attendants to see what was happening and asked, "How much did she win?" smiling. The Latina girl turned around with a dirty look, , and the other, with long black hair tied up, responded with a stern face, "We don't disclose the amount," rudely and disrespectfully. Does she know how to say politely, kindly, "Sorry, ma'am, we don't disclose the amount"? Politely with respect? I am a regular customer who has been coming here for years and spends a lot of money. Her rude attitude is not acceptable in this kind of business. This isn't about policy; it's about mannerisms toward customers, which are unprofessional and unacceptable! This is a place where people come to enjoy and be entertained. Her nasty attitude needs to be corrected and trained. I reported this issue to their manager, who seems to be a distinguished African gentleman with glasses, and I hope he takes this matter seriously, reports it to management, and corrects this kind of disrespect and rudeness in this casino.

While checking in for our tee time, a member of our family who holds a Black Card with Sycuan Casino Resort was present. Another member of our party simply suggested contacting the casino host to ask about a potential complimentary round of golf, which is a completely reasonable and common suggestion for Black Card members who spend significant money with Sycuan. Trevor immediately responded in an aggressive and hostile manner. He raised his voice and told our group member that they "didn't know what they were talking about." His tone was confrontational, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Instead of calmly explaining policy or offering assistance, he chose to belittle a guest in front of others and continued displaying a negative attitude toward our entire party. There is absolutely no excuse for customer service staff especially in a hospitality and golf environment to speak to paying guests in such a disrespectful and abrasive way. This was not a misunderstanding or simple miscommunication. This was blatant poor behavior and a clear lack of professionalism. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that every other employee we have interacted with at the pro shop has been courteous, helpful, and respectful. Trevor's behavior was a stark contrast and reflects very poorly on the standards that guests expect from a Sycuan-affiliated property. Guests who spend substantial money and support the Sycuan brand deserve to be treated with respect not spoken down to or yelled at. Trevor's attitude was inappropriate, unacceptable, and damaging to the overall customer experience. Frankly, if this is how he treats guests, his position in a customer-facing role should be seriously reevaluated. This experience left our entire group disappointed and frustrated, and it is not the level of service we expect from a property associated with Sycuan . The black card member will communicate this to his host.

It's beautiful... and that's the most appropriate comment I will type…read more My husband and I met Joseph in August of 2024 to plan our daughter's quinceanera that just took place on May 9th 2026. We went over the contract thoroughly, eventually deciding that we would bring our own vendors (taquero, DJ, photographer, baker, event decorator, and 360 photo booth), as I have known many of these people for years and have an established, trusting relationship with most of them. Joseph said that was perfectly fine, the only service that we had to use from his side was the bartender, which my husband and I understood. During this meeting we also met his assistant Patty and were told that she would also be helping us through this process, but that he was always available, and we would have his complete attention the week of and leading to the day of our daughter's celebration. Part of our contract states that we were able to bring the supplies/decor/spirits to the venue the week of the quince. So, on May 4th, my family and I filled the event room with the decorations et al, that we would be using for the following Saturday, the 9th. Every single day, Monday through Friday that week, my mom and I were at the venue, sorting through boxes, opening packages, putting the cake table pieces together, setting up the candy bar, making sure that when the day of came, everything would be organized and ready for the staff to take out to decorate. Friday afternoon (5/8) we met with Patty to clarify all of this. But first let me elaborate a bit more... My family and I had informed Joseph and Patty that we would be bringing some salads, fruit/vegetable platters, and items for a nacho bar that would need to be set up before we arrived. Joseph explained that he did not have enough staff to help with that (8 people doing various jobs, still unsure of what) and that either myself or a friend/family member would need to come and get this ready because he could not accommodate this. We were so grateful that our BAKER, who is not employed by the venue, was able to help with this since she was also arriving early to bring the desserts for the cake table. More on that in a minute. When we arrived at the venue the day of the quince, it looked beautiful, the tables looked ready, centerpieces, runners, etc. then I started noticing that there was so much more missing, and my guests were already walking into the party space. For starters, I did not see hardly any staff in the party area and Patty was unfortunately running around like a madman. She was feverishly trying to set up the luminaries and LED pillars we had brought for the garden walkway. I also noticed that the fruit/veggie/nacho bar table was not set up. I ended up rushing to the clubhouse where all of this was being stored and took everything out of the refrigerator myself. I encountered a staff member on the way back who said to me, "Oh are you the mom? Oh let me know what you need help with." My mind was absolutely boggled. Did my family and I NOT just spend the entire week here and leave detailed instructions? And then... While carrying said fruit/vegetable trays, I walked by the tables to notice that there were not any "reserved" signs placed. We had asked for two tables to be held for the immediate family. I had mentioned this to one of the staff, I believe Lily (she was very lovely) and said she would get right on it. About 10 minutes later I saw that the signs were there, but what I learned the following week was that one of the tables already had guests sitting at it and they were promptly asked to move to another table. Sigh... And then... Once my husband and I were able to catch our breath, we grabbed a quick drink. Jason was our bartender, very kind and solid drinks. While we were at the bar, Joseph came up to talk to us, telling Jason that someone got sick in the bathroom and that he had to stop serving hard alcohol for an hour. Mind you, the bar has only been open about forty-five minutes, and no one has had any shots or is intoxicated. We all disagreed with this but had to oblige. By this time, we were falling behind schedule and had to do the main entrance. Then I realized that I had not seen my daughter in almost two hours, the sun was starting to set, and we did not take any pictures with her in this beautiful space because we had to do the jobs that we had hired this venue for. In the end: No pictures with our daughter in this space that cost half our budget Staff enjoyed our taquero without checking to make sure all of our guests had eaten Saw photos of Joseph and his staff enjoying our 360 photo booth Learned that 80% of my vendors experienced an unpleasant encounter with Joseph My guests were unsatisfied with parking/golf cart availability Not enough restroom signage Reports from vendors state as of 2pm, tablecloths weren't even on the tables.

We were given a tour of the wine cellar. VH has a large variety of their own wines at an affordable price. Rhonda, gave us the tour and shared the history of the estate. She also answered many questions about our stay and offered future reservation tips and places to eat. There was an error with a double booking that Rhonda graciously adjusted for us, thank you!! We Will definitely be back for a longer stay.

Seriously, what is not to like about this place?! Someone asked me what my favorite part of my…read morestay was and I really couldn't name just one - there are so many things i like to do here! First off, I had no idea there were 2 hotels at Viejas and honestly love the Willows Hotel & Spa, plus it's a 21+. When you walk in, it feels like a mini Vegas hotel. You go upstairs to the front desk and service was really great, from the check in process to the luggage assistance. But it's really when you get up to the room that is impressive; probably one of the nicer rooms that I've stayed in which a nice open area with a mini bar, desk and living room. The bedroom is in a separate room and much to my surprise, there was a special birthday setup on the bed for me (loved it!). And can't forget the extra large shower with rainfall faucet and all the amenities you would need. On to the spa. Amazing. While it's on the smaller side I had a great experience, from the attentive staff that made me feel welcomed to the massage and near-private hot tub/sauna/steam room and lovely pool area. It's adjacent to the regular hotel pool that you also have access to as well. If you get a service you can use the amenities all day with in and out privileges, such a nice relaxing day if you ask me. So while I'm limiting my review to the hotel and spa, the Viejas property has so much to do. The casino is a short walk from the hotel along with a variety of restaurants. The outlet mall is literally across the street and has a bingo hall and bowling and also had a seasonal skating rink. The golf course is also a drive down the road. In conclusion, I had a 5 star experience. I was sad to check out and I will be back for another stay!

She is very unapproachable and made the staff and the rest of the guests very uncomfortable. She is not a people person whatsoever and no one wanted to make eye contact with her. This is the 2nd time I've been there and I had the same experience with her the first time as well. I really don't understand why a person with that attitude is in this type of position and in the hospitality field. I tried giving it a second chance because the rest of the staff is friendly and accommodating but after this recent experience I will never come back and will make sure to tell all my friends and family to stay away.

"SHHHH" BINGO You…read moreknow you "old" when an evening out with a group consists of Bingo... at a Casino!!! None of us except two have played Bingo at this level so everything was quite new. There IS dedicated parking for Bingo, reserved parking! The Bingo Hall has its own building with some slots in the lobby, snack bar, and a decent size restroom with plenty of stalls. BINGO ETIQUETTE Fair reminder, there is "Bingo Etiquette" - it's quiet as a damn library it was so uncomfortable to even speak or whisper. Our group was hushed by some random lady a few times and she snitched on us and staff (who seemed to be laid back) would occasionally mention in the prompt that everyone needs to be quiet (they didn't single us out but we knew that message was directed towards us). "Library Bingo" was so quiet, I could hear myself think that I was able to solve a coding conditional logic for work (that I been working on for days) in my head and write it down. PACKAGE DEALS This was overwhelming to understand. I just went with the flow of what everyone else was signing up for. Early Bird ($10) + 175 card ($40) + happy ball ($5) = adult fun with friends. DIGITAL VS. PAPER Next level Bingo! Received an iPad that basically does everything for you. The only action from you is type in your account number (received on your receipt after paying) and calling out "BINGO" if you win any of the games. Literally hands free and focus free - it's nice to eat, snack, try to whisper-converse amongst the group, do whatever. Yes, option to dab the paper oldskool if you like. FOOD AND DRINKS They don't tell you this but INSIDE the Bingo hall are free drinks (soda, coffee, water, etc.) . Don't buy drinks at the snack bar right outside before coming in. In addition, people bring their own snacks from home if you want to save money. But the snack bar was relatively cheap compared to the increase of food from inflation. Most of us got Nachos because it was the most for your buck. There is option to get Carne Asada or Chili and but default you get a mini bucket of cheese. BRING TUMS AND PEPCID AC - you are going to need it. B-I-N-G-O! So close yet so far. The night we went, the buyout was $750 per game. Wow! Other days it can be even higher. We were here for several hours playing Bingo and the Bingo games weren't just one stretch of line... Bingo came in different shapes and sizes. If I'm looking to kill time and be a mute, I could see myself coming here to do so (LOL). Sit, eat, and hope to win. Didn't win anything this night but maybe in the future. Honestly, with a group of people who like socializing this "Library Bingo" "SHHH Bingo" might be too quiet and you become the distracting background noise. Still, I could see myself returning - it was still fun!

They have classic arcade games here like Frogger Pong, Super Mario and pinball. There are a few newer games like a version of beer pong, Halo, Mario Kart and 4-person Pacman. We played every game within an hour and felt a bit bored after that. I'd love to see a Dance Dance Revolution game here! The plethora of beers, hard seltzers and ciders on tap looked like an expansive collection. There was something here for everyone. They even had a chocolate espresso martini on tap. I didn't drink but those in my party enjoyed every sip and got a good buzz goin. I love that you can pay for your drink by the ounce and you don't really have to commit to a whole drink if you don't want to. Perfect to taste test everything if that's what you desire. I'll be back in the area when I'm feelin in a fun and drinky mood.

Being my first time there I was surprised how small it was. One side is mostly seating and an outdoor patio. The other side is where all the games are. A serve yourself drinks wall fills up most of the middle space. You get a game card which contains tokens that you can use for the games. I had fun playing the games. They have some traditional ones like pac man and pinball but some newer ones as well. Worth checking out.
