This spot is perfect if you want to enjoy the nice weather with family or friends. Plenty of hidden seats inside and outside with no-code bathrooms. The service was fast, and our food and coffee was very good.

I have been here twice now. The first time was a long time ago. Probably years!! I didn't like it the first time. Came back recently hoping to try their tofu soup and Galbi. They took it out of the menu!! Psh!!! We still tried to order something to support. We got the pancakes and Alfredo pasta. The pancakes were ok. My mom thought it was burnt lol taste was alright. Alfredo pasta was so watery. Taste was a bit bland. It was not good. I guess, I m still not a fan... prob will be the last time coming here.

Wonderful customer service here! The associates are so friendly and attentive. It's a really cute restaurant as well.I ordered the 'Orange and banana French toast'.One word Amazing!I will definitely be back!

Chicken quesadillas

I ordered chicken quesadillas and sausage/spinach omelette. The portion was very generous and the food was freshly cooked. All the ingredients seem very good quality. The establishment is an old house and very unique. The place is small and packed on Sunday's. The crowd seems very pleasant there. All the workers seem to be part owners and hussling. They all were kind. The orange juice was excellent and fresh squeezed. I would come back. Thank you

Cute cafe brunch spot in highland park. My boyfriend got the 2222 plate which comes with pancakes potatos eggs bacon and I got a side of eggs bacon with toast. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Solid no frills brunch spot and for the price we weren't mad at it. Would come back if we were starving and in the area.

Hands down, the most delicious latte in Highland Park that I've had to date made by owner, Heidi -- amazing! Made with kind service, and an enjoyable, welcoming convo. Jane has been in town for almost a decade treating their customers to wonderful breakfast/brunch selections and now, it's open for dinner with equally delectable Korean cuisine. My next visit will be for dinner and as for the ambiance, it has ample seating indoors/outdoors.

Bibimbap and kimchi fried rice (up top)

Stumbled upon on this place by accident. The place we came out for wasn't open and saw Jane nearby so decided to give it a try. Pretty good. I got bibimbap although not in a hot stone bowl (which is only served during dinner according to staffs), still tasted pretty good. And hubby got kimchi fried rice which was also very decent. Overall pleasantly surprised and will visit again.

This café is very cosy, and despite being right off of a busy street it is very pleasant to sit outside on the patio/front yard and eat. They have a great selection of jazz and R&B playing on their speakers and the traffic is quiet enough to have a comfortable conversation or to read a book. I ordered a vanilla iced latte with almond milk and an eggs benedict without spinach. The girl who took my order did not look up from her phone when I came in, but she took my order quickly and accurately and my food came to me in no time at all. My coffee was better than I expected it would be and my eggs benedict was decent. If my breakfast had cost $20 rather than $30 I think I would be more enthusiastic about it. Overall this place has a very pleasant ambiance, fast service, and decent food. But for the price I probably won't be back. I'd say it's worth it to check out if you're prepared to spend some money on a relaxing atmosphere.

Huevos rancheros chorizo.

There's a mixture of factors that prevail in this Highland Park sadness I have brought upon myself. So I'm in this area, lackadaisically choosing an Airbnb based on price and a bad recommendation, needing sustenance for a 'catch up' day during my LA vacay. I come here based on reviews and lack of other spots that seem breakfast-friendly. The food is expensive for what you get, in my opinion. The huevos rancheros just kinda seemed thrown together... I mean, it was okay, but nothing particularly special about it. I live in New England now (via Chicago); I was hoping for some good Latinx food again... but maybe this is just 'white people' Mexican food? The coffee is good, and it's a charming and comfortable space in a void where there aren't a lot of options, but I chose... poorly.

Is breakfast all day?

At night they do great Korean food

This place is listed today as having outdoor seating. Is it still available? If it is, is it covered or heated? How many people can sit there? / April 8, 2023

There is a patio in the front with umbrellas.

Do you know if there is gluten-free bread?

Is Jane still only to-go?

No. I was there recently and we ordered from the door, picked up our food at the door, and ate on the patio.

Do they have outlets?

No, sadly you'll have to pay full price for your country potatoes and eggs Benedict. :(

Been a couple time. Always feel weirded out that I am sitting in someone's old house. Does anyone know the backstory to how this home was acquired?

Relax, it's an old house converted into a cafe.

Can anything for breakfast be made vegan?

Pretty sure.

What seemed like a deceptively simple bowl was one of the most delicious and flavorful meals I've had - I'll be thinking about my bowl for a long time. I got the plain kalgaksu, mainly because it included pork potstickers. The anchovy broth isn't fishy (which I was concerned about), it's deep and full in a way that's hard to describe. It penetrates the noodles and potatoes well. The broth is similar if not the same between most bowl types. The cold noodles were also delicious, which a couple of my friends ordered. Quite large portions, as just about everyone had to take some home. They also have bibimbap if you're craving a rice based meal instead. I can't wait to come back - maybe not on a Saturday night next time so I don't have to look so long for parking!

I really wanted authentic Korean food that was not kbbq and not tofu and this place delivered! This restaurant is in a small strip mall. The strip mall has other Korean food options. They have a valet parking system of sorts but we didn't pay, we self parked. The attendant told us we were fine. It was approx 9pm when we arrived and also a week night. I have no idea how much valet parking is here. We were a small party of two. Upon arrival, we were notified they were out of RICE. Um..what?? That's a good problem (for them to have) but not for consumers. I feel this really limited our options to just soup. I honestly didn't want soup but there wasn't much else we could order. The bowls were large and came out piping hot. It was a satisfying meal and not too heavy. The price point was on the pricey side. Our waiter told us business has not been the same post covid. Some dishes are between $40-$60. I asked for a soup and they were able to make it less spicy. My friend got a soup with dumplings in it. He put a good amount of soy sauce to give the broth some life. Also, the banchan is on point. We asked for a refill and devoured the second portions. If you wanna impress friends with Korean food, bring them here! Its a casual place.

Restaurant was half empty and no Ike which surprised us on a Saturday night. Ordered some bossam and chungukjang and it didn't taste the same as it used to couple years ago. Not sure what the issue was but it lacked flavor. Also they were cleaning the kitchen while serving food which was kinda not sanitary with all the water splashing on the floor of the kitchen while they were making food. Overall it's not what it used to be and cleaning the kitchen while making and serving food is not a good combo.

If you're searching for some of the city's best pork, then those in the know will bring up Ham Ji Park. For 2 decades, generous platters of pork ribs and pork neck stew decked every table. Now, our Korean friends lament the loss of their favorite pork joint in the city. The Koreatown proper location is located in the Royal Plaza mini-mall, just a few blocks off bustling Wilshire. Discounted parking is available in a lot across the street from the Chevron gas station. From the street, the entrance is flanked by potted plants and an enclosed street-ery. Inside, stainless steel chairs are pressed up against wooden tables, each outfitted with a metal grill. Oppressive fluorescent lighting shines down on the stone grey walls, which are left undecorated apart from a few flatscreens. Multi-lingual chatter blends with the sizzle of platters. I visited with some friends for a weeknight dinner, and about half of the tables were occupied. We shared a spread of grilled platters and sizzling soups. The meal began with a carafe of barley tea and a mostly standard spread of banchan. Across our food, the best dish was the signature Charbroiled Pork Spare Rib. The ribs were flavorful without feeling gamey, and the meat was complemented by sweet caramelized onions. The pork ribs handily outdid the good-not-great Charbroiled Beef Short Rib. Lastly, the Milt and Cod Rose with Vegetables stew was fishy and briny, appropriately flavored for the Korean palate. The service was appropriately attentive, although I would've appreciated more intentional refills of our banchan ramikens. The rib plates cost upward of $35 each, while the soup was just under $30. The portions were hearty; a single entree platter could reasonably feed 2 moderately hungry bellies. It's a shame to hear that Ham Ji Park has closed; I'm kicking myself for not trying their pork neck stew earlier.
