Set outside on a patio surrounding a fountain, in the middle of downtown Naples, Jane's Garden Cafe is absolutely charming! We enjoyed a lovely brunch here on a balmy Sunday morning. There are fans but beware, there is only outdoor seating so I'm sure it can get pretty hot in the summer sun. I am also not sure of what happens during a downpour. As the skies turned dark and angry, we rushed the end of our meal, paid the check, and got out of dodge so we would be spared from the storm. The service was lightening fast and the food was excellent. We ordered: Dr. Suess Omelet ($14): I loved my omelet with goat cheese, spinach, mushroom, & ham. Seafood Benedict: ($17) Husband did not care for this too much since the crab cake was made with peppers (he hates peppers) but I thought it was great. Crazy Harry's Nutella Crepes ($12.5): With sliced bananas and chocolate sauce, this was a nice dessert dish 10 year old started with a "mock tail", a Watermelon Pineapple Lemonade. At $6.50 it was expensive, but delicious. As a matter of fact, that's pretty much sums up the whole meal.....expensive (for brunch), but delicious. But hey, this is downtown Naples where expensive is par for the course. Jane's Garden Cafe is open from 8am-4pm and serves breakfast and lunch items. As charming as the patio is though, I think I would be more likely to return on a hot summer morning if there was somewhere to sit indoors. read more

Jane's is one of my favorite breakfast places in Naples. It's hard to get into during the winter, which is 'season', but off-season, in summer, it's not a problem. There are a few different areas to sit at in Jane's - they have a front courtyard with fountain, inside dining room, and also a covered back patio with fans. I recommend sitting outside - they have great landscaping and it feels peaceful and relaxing. Food is always excellent here. I know it's a bit higher priced than your average breakfast place, but you are paying for higher quality, organic food, and the difference is obvious when you taste your meal. In addition to common breakfast items like omelets, french toast, bagels & lox, quiche, etc. they also have fresh baked good available. Have a muffin - you'll love it! Finally, they have a complete collection of coffee drinks available. Try the french toast latte - it's outstanding. read more

2.5 stars because the indoor area is filled with kitchen-smoke while guests don't want open doors. (It was a cold day so it was too cold to eat outside and there are no outdoor heaters.) The indoor staff are very nice. The outdoor staff will tell you it's a long wait but they will NOT be able to call your phone when your table is ready, which is lame. What would make this 5 stars: fix the major cooking-smoke issue so staff and guests have clean air inside while paying pretty high prices and waiting a long time for an indoor table and add gluten-free and grainfree/paleo waffles and pancakes. We live in Ft. Lauderdale and have had a girls' weekend in Naples annually for the past 15 years. This was our first time having breakfast at Jane's, and we'll make it an annual tradition. The service from beginning to end was exceptional. We sat in a beautiful outdoor garden setting but there was also inside dining available. We started with Bloody Marys and they were amazing; best ones we've ever had. My bestie ordered the bagel with smoked salmon, capers, tomatoes, and hard boiled eggs. She loved it. I ordered the fried egg BLT sandwich on gluten-free white toast and it was delicious. It came with a small bowl of fresh fruit which included honey dew, blackberries, raspberries and watermelon. As we were leaving, we enthusiastically complimented one of the staff members on how great the restaurant was and he told us the owner happened to be sitting inside and asked if we'd like to meet him, which we did. It's experiences like this that makes me seriously doubt the competence of every single individual that has given this establishment a positive rating. What exactly happened, in perhaps a parallel dimension, for them to give this place four or five stars? I didn't experience anything remotely close to having even an average experience. My wife and I ordered the British Breakfast and one of the Eggs Benedict dishes. Our total bill was just under 50 dollars. We both opted for the home fries option. I added grilled tomato slices, bangers, and Heinz Baked Beans to keep it classy and pure when it comes to having a British breakfast. The home fries were re heated. No doubt about it. I've been cooking for over twenty years; I know how fresh the cook on your taters should be, but if you have doubts let me describe that for you since I'm firing a volley at an establishment that's been a sweetheart in the area (ugh) for the last decade: Home fries are supposed to be borderline crispy in the outside, taken off the heat soon as the taters start whistling at you in the pan with a rising crescendo. When you bite into them you release that tiny yet furiously hot pocket of steam that you perfectly fried and sealed into them. The insides are supposed to be like fluffy clouds, making you smile and feel warm inside because it all comes together like the simple symphony of texture, flavor, and temperature a plate of god damn home fries should be. The really, really sad part is that the flavor and seasoning was on point, but I was chewing on stale, reheated potatoes void of any professionalism or passion. The sausages on my plate were dry, nothing remotely special about them, they tasted like someone ran down the street to Walmart and bought a pack of sausages and put a quick cook on them. The hollandaise sauce was especially bland, and at this point not even surprised if indeed it was pre-made as well. Folks, the only reason this place is even open after all these years of committing crimes against cooking is because of their prime location. There's a nice fountain with koi fish and all that good stuff, bursts flitting from bush to bush and chirping to cheer you up while you eat some truly disgusting food. The chef, manager, and owner should all be ashamed of themselves for putting out such a sad, effortless product. This was a complete waste of time and money. read more

Been going to Jane's for years. Went today and was promptly seated. That was the last of our service. No one ever approached us again. Would understand is they were short staffed or crowded, but there were only about six tables occupied and at least 5 or 6 wait staff standing around. The table next to us sat after us and had drinks and their order taken. We were still waiting. Finally decided to just leave and go somewhere else. Very disappointed. Dear Owner of Jane's Cafe, Very unprofessional waiter, supervisor, and manager. Ordered our food, my wife did not get her plate until 40 min after I finished eating mine. Waiter took down the wrong order and we gave him the benefit of the doubt to redeem himself by doing the right thing but he did not and then tried to get away with it and charge us for it, even after he admitted it was his mistake. We ask to speak to a manager to express our miscommunication of the order. Some unprofessional young woman (25-35 years old) came to our table and said what's the problem? We told her and we are not doing anything for you because we ate the food! We told her the story again and completely treated us like people that were below her and yelled at us, and said if we didn't like it we could just leave. But it was not about the money but the way of understanding and communication to resolve a simple situation that did not have to go to that ugly place of pride and being right. We asked her to speak with the real manager, and then treated us even worse. A manager finally came over and treated us the same way, like we did something wrong for not getting the 5star service expected in a 5star restaurant. Whoever the owner is you need to hold them accountable and teach them 5star customer service. We hope you see this and take action. This happen Sunday, 2/20/2022 at around 2-3:30pm. Finding a place to eat brunch that's reasonably cheap in Naples isn't the easiest to find but Jane's really does hit the right spot with that. Our family got breakfast and omg was it amazing! The pancakes were to die for and we had an AMAZING drink special (first picture). During our brunch Jane herself stopped by to make sure everything was going well, that itself added onto the amazing service. Our host Mario was one the most HILARIOUS guys to have served us. Great breakfast place in Old Naples, tucked away off of 3rd St S. Reasonable priced, good food. Lots of outdoor seating around a koi pond filled with koi fish. My son loved the fish and the pond. Extremely fast service. The omlete was huge with potatoes that were luke warm. The beautiful setting made up for it. I felt like I was in Europe in a courtyard with cobblestone streets. Had brunch with a friend this morning. Both the inside and patio area are jam packed with patrons. The atmosphere is lively with great lunchtime chatter. Although busy, we only waited about 5 minutes. Things started to go downhill once we got seated. Being the first time for me, I began exploring their fairly extensive menu. I am by no means a slow orderer, but the waiter seemed impatient and came to check on us every minute after we ordered coffee. The food came quickly, and the waiter asked if the food was okay before I even sliced into my benedict. It seems like the serving staff wanted to turn and burn on the clientelle to rack up the tips. I felt pushed and rushed throughout the experience. The food was average. Not bad by any stretch but nothing impressive, making what they charge a bit pricey. My wife and I decided to stop in to have breakfast. We had the eggs with avocado toast and potatoes. We split one order as it was more than enough for both of us. Even though there was more than enough food for both of us, all elements of the of the plate were bland. I can understand there's not a lot you can do to scrambled eggs but most restaurants make the avocado on the toast their own. The potatoes are usually amped up with seasoning and onions as well but not here. The food was still good but nothing special. We sat in the back outdoor area which initially was very quaint but a couple of large parties showed up and it got pretty loud. When we walked through the front outside area it was packed as well. They must be doing something right there. Maybe the meal we chose wasn't one of there specialties. read more

At first when we walked in, the restaurant didn't seem like much, and then they sat us outside. It was beautiful!! Relaxing atmosphere, beautiful scenery. The staff was very friendly and quick with getting our drink and food orders. The menu had a great selection and a lot of healthy options. I got the Cancun Omelette which was delicious. My husband enjoyed his Smoked Salmon Bene and potatoes very much. The coffee was wonderful also. I had an iced almond milk vanilla macchiato that was delicious. Overall, our experience was great.
