Saw the many great reviews and thought I'd check out this restaurant with my husband for our 22nd anniversary. I was not impressed at all! First of all, the staff was not friendly at all which ruined it for me from the get go. Then we placed our orders after waiting for our waiter to come back. Food was served after 10 min of ordering which made me nervous. We couldn't believe how quickly we got our food. I ordered the Eggs Benedict...way over priced @ $14! After one bite of my food something tasted spoiled! I thought maybe it was my tastebuds, so I continued to try another bite. Nope, definitely had a spoiled taste. I couldn't eat anymore. This is a delightful venue and the service was prompt and attentive without being intrusive. I had the Tartan Benedict. It was quite good but I would love to see a Hollandaise that is not so bland. A little more lemon, and a touch of, say, Crystal Hot Sauce. Secretary of the Interior had the One Percenter with crab, shrimp, lobster and Havarti cheese. This I discovered later was a huge disappointment. She regrets not sending it back after the first few bites. The eggs were first fried on BOTH sides then the ingredients were added and it was folded over resulting in an omelet that was dry as toast with the consistency of foam rubber. The Bloody Mary's were OK. But just OK. Barely. For $11 I expect something special in a Bloody Mary. This was not. And the only garnish is two pimento-less olives. Perhaps we will give it another try, but at these prices on a day when the kitchen was under no pressure from a volume crowd this was pretty disappointing. read more

I had the Belgian waffles, delicious! Everything was so fresh and the outdoor seating creates a beautiful atmosphere. Great coffee too! Perfect place to stop before enjoying shopping or the farmers market. The beach is right down the street and the so many cute independent shops around here as well. read more

The food is consistently good, the service is consistently good, and the prices are reasonable. The only thing is that the portions aren't as generous as other local spots like 'toast of naples', however the atmosphere of Jane's is where the value exists. I recommend sitting outside on the patio and really getting the experience that made me fall in love with eating breakfast at Jane's. Have enjoyed breakfast at Jane's Café several times. The food is consistently good and the service is attentive. If you get lucky you can get a spot around the fountain which is a great backdrop for breakfast or lunch. During the summer it's very hot but fortunately they have lots of fans to try to keep you a little cooler. A great place to go during the winter months. read more

I tried Jane's today with a friend who was visiting Naples and neither of us were happy with our breakfast. It was very busy and were lucky that we didn't wait more than 10 minutes for a table. The french toast was average but, that may be because it wasn't very hot. My companions "quiche of the day" was just ok and it also wasn't very hot. We waited 25 minutes for our food to be served which I think is a long wait for breakfast food. Our server was not very attentive and after the food was served he never came back to the table to check on us. We had to find him to ask for our check. We did sit outside near the fountain which was beautiful and relaxing on a Sunday morning. Atmosphere is lovely but most likely won't return to Jane's. read more

Dinner at Jane's Using Groupon This past week we took our neighbor's to Jane's for dinner, using our newly purchased Groupon for four. Our waiter, from Montenegro, was a bit of a kidder and said our Groupon was expired. When I said I just bought it, he said he was just kidding? We all ordered the soup and an entree, as specified on the Groupon. Since the only soup they offer on the menu is a bowl ( sized ) we were surprised that we received a cup. There is no cup (sized) soup on the menu. Our waiter responded that the only size of soup you get with Groupon is a cup. We know that is not true as we ate there before with a Groupon for two and they served a bowl of soup, as stated on the menu. One of our guests ordered the blackened grouper, but received it prepared differently. Otherwise the meal was very good, in a nice atmosphere ( courtyard) on a beautiful crisp evening. Excellent food and excellent service! Watermelon pineapple lemonade was so refreshing on a hot August day and our lunches were perfect. All 6 of us, including 1 child and 1 teenager, loved our food. Can't wait till we are back in Naples again so we can go back! read more

Really fantasticly delicious food for a decent price, and there are a wide variety of items to choose from but thankfully it all fits on one page. However, you don't get much on your plate but the taste makes you forget about that. As for the decor: it is a little frilly and over feminine for my tastes but it is nice. However, the wicker chairs are a bit uncomfortable for me, but not really bothersome. There is indoor and covered outdoor seating so having that option is nice and the service is attentive but not overly so. read more

Jane's is a great place to sit outside for brunch. Their courtyard is gorgeous and quiet, and their food is really tasty (especially their Belgian waffles)! A perfect spot for a traditional breakfast. read more

After having a great brunch last time this lunch was disappointing. My organic Janes salad was very small and the chicken dry. Had to ask again for lemon, brought wrong soup and my husband asked for a side of pancakes....$14!!!! Orange juice was warm...Maybe nit picky but adds up. read more

Not sure what the big deal is here. Perhaps the location? It is in a nice part of town, sure to impress visiting guests. Food is fine, but for the prices they charge you just get something tossed on a plate, really. I ordered the "Georgie"($13) which is a warm Ham and Brie on a croissant. The croissant was not really a croissant, it was one of those cheap, bread-y imitations. Ham and Brie were slapped on the "croissant", it was squashed and cut in half and tossed on a plate with a handful of brown potato chips. The food is fine, but it's lazy and the portions are just on the side of acceptable for what you're paying. Better food elsewhere. read more

What a nice lunch we had at Jane's Café today. We had some cream of mushroom soup that wasn't full of starch and all lumpy. It tasted like shitake mushrooms and was really good. The pastrami reuben, which I had served without bread, you know, no carbs, was very tasty, and I am a pastrami expert. The russian dressing was truly special. The quiche special, crab & swiss cheese, was melt-in-your-mouth tasty and the Jane's special organic salad exceeded expectations on every level. We had the Belgian vanilla bourbon waffles and they were off the hizzy fo shizzy as they say in north Naples. We also had the avocado bacon cheese omelet and that was really good too. Omelet was great, but pancakes were average and for only 2 small pancakes, it's very overpriced. Side of bacon was cold too. Stumbled on this spot at the end of a weekend on the Gulf Coast. Plenty of outdoor seating makes it perfect for winter Florida dining. Older clientele, but who cares? I was there for brunch. Crab quiche (special) was delicious. Service was a little spotty, and the wait after we ordered was long, but we got sat quickly despite the crowd. I'd definitely return. One problem -- they highlight being "natural" and "organic" but don't indicate how so or what food items are organic on the menu. read more

Went there for lunch for the first time today. It was a beautiful place and the flowers and other nice touches made the restaurant very comfortable. The day weather wise was perfect as you'll see in the pictures. The service very attentive and helpful and the food also very good. The Arnold Palmers were very good. The restaurant out front and the garden area in the rear of the restaurant are very comfortable. The dishes we had (as pictured) we're delicious. We were fortunate to have "Michelle" waiting on us. She was great in helping us with so many choices. And her adding sour cream and salsa to the black bean soup made a huge difference. What also made her stand out was how helpful she was with us in other places to visit while here for the month. (Thanks Michelle) We look forward to getting back here for the brunch as suggested. You won't be disappointed in the least. And if you're fortunate to have Michelle wait on you, it'll be even that much better. We were very pleased. read more

Enjoyed the breakfast except for the Bellinis that were warm. After letting the waiter know the second one was much better. My husband ordered the Canadian bacon benedicts, my daughter ordered the grilled cheese sandwich, and ordered the Belgian Waffles with fruit. All was very good. I would definitely return. read more

I ate here for brunch on New Year's Day. Naturally it was busy. We sat outside where the atmosphere around a fountain was lovely. We had a moderate wait for omelettes both of which were amazingly tasty. I had an omelette with avocado, bacon and cheese. The consistency was perfect, it was salted to perfection and cooked just right with a great flavor. The coffee was decent and the service was a little slow but I expected that on a busy holiday. The side of potatoes has fantastic flavor with added sautéed red and green peppers. This was probably to best hollandaise sauce I've ever had anywhere. It's ok, but expensive for what you get. In Olde Naples everything is expensive so it's what was expected. The food is average. Ceasar salad was overloaded with bacon and short on the avacado. Too much dressing and stale croutons. It's not one of my favorites. Living here for 20 years I have tried Jane's a dozen times (friend near there is a fan), but with so many other choices, keep looking! Campiellos, Sea Salt or Tulia's are better options. What a great place! We visited for breakfast. I had the Lobster Benny (eggs Benedict). I was expecting a couple of lobster bites. To my surprise, it was packed with lobster. The eggs were poached just right. I ate every bite. My husband had the French Toast with berries ... delicious!!! The coffee was great and so was the freshly squeezed orange juice. We were told by many that this is a great place for lunch. It started out lovely, being seated outside among the trees and flowers. Our waitress was nice. We ordered the soup du jour. It was delicious! Cream of mushroom. Unfortunately, it ended there. We ordered a chicken salad wrap. We were charged $2 to cut the sandwich in half and put it on a second plate. Silly but okay. The wrap was bland with only mayonnaise added to the chicken. One small slice of apple, one 2" piece of Brie, and some lettuce. Really disappointed. Won't go back and will tell friends to go elsewhere. read more

I went to Jane's Cafe for a breakfast meeting for work. The service was good and it has this really adorable, rustic patio that made me think a bit of cities like Charleston and Savannah. We liked the coffee and my breakfast, a seafood quiche, had great flavor. My only squabble: My breakfast was right around $19, just the entree, and it wasn't a huge portion of quiche. It's a bit pricey (and it is on 3rd street in downtown Naples), but I was a bit surprised by the breakfast prices. It was the special that day, and they did not mention a price when the special was offered. It was really good though, just perhaps not for my budget. read more
