Came here while craving some kbbq after coming back from Korea. I saw they replaced palace bbq (which I also never tried). Came at 4pm when it was very empty, and they let me eat the kbbq alone. (Not recommended honestly, the portions are kind of large! So it meant I couldn't try as many meats.) The kimchi and pickles were pretty good. The meat was tasty, and the server helped cook it (he mentioned it was mostly if it wasn't too busy, it's not necessarily a given). I think the beef finger rib and the boneless rib were best, though I think the marinated versions tasted better than the non marinated ones in every instance. It was fun to order a random sushi roll (tasted nice), and I love getting more sauces (they had soybean paste)!

We checked out the soft opening of this new eastside Korean bbq and sushi spot. AYCE options offer different pricing for premium or signature, both offering sushi on the menus. The new owners and staff are so kind and thoughtful, a welcome energy to Korean dining. We can't wait to see how the business grows and we're honored to be a part of the soft opening this week!

This is probably the best AYCE sushi/ KBBQ that I've been to! Clean environment, wonderful service, and a great selection of quality food to choose from.

Celebrated my nieces graduation today. Good service. Fresh food. Options for everyone. Will definitely come back!

We live right down the street from and always passed by Palace saying, "I wish we had good Korean bbq in our hood." So we were excited to see it change to Janggogi. We went the first time and ate a la carte. The second time, we came hungry and ordered the signature AYCE. We brought my mom for her 70th birthday and she said it was the best Korean meal she has had in the US since leaving Korea in the 80s! Her favorite was the cold noodles. The owners and staff are also very kind and eager to please. We will be back again!

Janggogi is a lot better than the previous one, been to the Palace few times and not even comparable from the meat quality, the ambiance and the friendly server.

I was worried about the price because of its location in downtown Bellevue, but at ~50 a person and for the quality and quantity I received it is far worth. I never had to wait very long to get sat, and the entrance is a little hard to find. It's located upstairs a separate retail area. The ambiance is only decent, but it's not crazy loud. The service is prompt, but most of the ordering is done on the iPad anyway. You can order whatever you want, including rice, lettuce, etc. You also get one wagyu per person. The pork jowls and marinated kalbi are my favorite. If you like squid I highly recommend getting that too. The banchan side dishes are copious and refillable. Our biggest qualm is that grill could be hotter. Perhaps it is a means of controlling your pacing, but we want the meat NOW! Haha They do charge extra if you don't finish your food, but that's never happened to us.

For $40+, the meat quality wasn't bad, but the slices were super thin (looked like meat for hotpot) and cooked way too fast. I'd leave the meat on the grill for maybe 15 seconds and it would already start getting charred. That part could honestly be user error on my end, so I'd still be willing to give this place another try. I will say their banchan was really good and probably one of the highlights of the meal. Overall, I just left feeling a little disappointed, especially for the price. If you do decide to come here for AYCE, I'd probably recommend going for one of the higher tiers to get a better experience.

For a group of four adults with a normal hungry, we ordered a small beef set and fried chicken, which was plenty. The banchan was fantastic, especially the Myungranjut. The meat quality was outstanding for a K-BBQ place, and the service was superb. Our server proactively replaced the grill grate to make sure no burnt bits remained! The vibe is casual enough but can be also formal enough for a date. Needless to say, I left a very generous tip.

Not because it's just "better than the other dishes" but it was truly amazing, it just had a great taste to it! Soup was yummy too and came with clear noodles Proportions are to the smaller size making prices a bit high but banchans were refilled quickly. You also cannot dine as a party of 1 here - minimum two people! I've been to Seoul meat 3 times now - once with just the missus and I (a mistake, too few people), and the other two times with one other person (three total - good amount, could use more). The most recent time was a rainy Thursday evening, when I hadn't eaten all day, and was famished. For $51/person (for the cheaper option), it's pretty good, but the ribeye steak option is meh since the marinated rib fingers are goated. It's AYCE, except for ribeye which is one order per person. Two hours max (we barely lasted 75 minutes), but unless its a weekend or they're super slow, you should be in and out pretty fast. Service is very quick, prompt, and polite. They changed our grill three times in our most recent visit. It wasn't busy when we arrived and they sat us immediately. The wait staff will check in with you periodically - sometimes it'll feel overbearing but I prefer that to the opposite end of the spectrum where they literally have to be flagged down every time (which sometimes happened in our first two visits because it was more busy). Ambiance is a kpop track - I think there's also music videos? I dunno, I'm not paying attention to that aspect - you come here for the AYCE food. Try the octopus, marinated beef brisket, marinated rib finger, short ribs, and steamed egg. You won't regret it. Also: parking is in the general totem lake plaza. There's a bunch more parking in the green lot but you can always park slightly farther away in the blue lot, or outdoors.
