Beef Brisket Soy Bean Paste Soup
    Thomas N.

Stopped by Woomadang and decided to not do the KBBQ this time to just order a few dishes. Ended up being a great call because the premium beef rib soup is incredible. The broth has so much flavor and the beef was super tender. I may order this next time even if I do the KBBQ. We also got the beef brisket soybean paste soup. It was good but I'm just not a huge soybean paste guy so the rib soup definitely won for me. The banchan selection was solid too, especially the mashed potatoes and kimchi cucumber. They also started us off with a complimentary warm soup which was a lifesaver in this cold weather. Very nice touch that really elevated the whole experience.

This KBBQ spot is pretty solid overall. The service is very friendly, and the quality of the meat is decent for an AYCE restaurant. We went with the premium option so we could try all the meat selections, and the premium ribs were definitely the highlight. The non-marinated ribs weren't as tender, but the marinated ones were really good. The only downside on food was the clear soup they served as we sat down, one of the soups tasted very biter and chemically. All the other soups tasted fine so not sure what was going on there. They used to have a self-serve sides and snacks bar, but it seems like that's no longer available. When we asked, they said sides are now just served from the menu, which is a bit of a bummer since the self-serve bar really helped justify the price. Also, there was karaoke going on the day we went, which was pretty interesting and added a fun, unexpected vibe.

Overall experience was great. Very helpful and fun staff. Nice menu selection of dishes and meats. Nice spacious place for gatherings. Food was ok, I had more flavorful k-bbq places but I would still like to go back and try it out again. You can't beat the selection, pricing and great service there.

I stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch and had a very good experience overall. I ordered à la carte, which was perfect for a shorter visit, and everything came out quickly without feeling rushed. The food was flavorful, well seasoned, and clearly prepared with care. Even for a quick meal, the quality really stood out. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and efficient. From the moment I arrived, they made sure everything was clear and easy, which is always appreciated, especially during a lunch break. Service was smooth and well organized, making the whole experience pleasant and stress free. One thing I particularly appreciated is the availability of a halal menu. Having halal options clearly offered adds real value and makes the restaurant more inclusive. It is great to see that effort being made, and it definitely encourages me to come back. Overall, it was a solid choice for a quick and tasty lunch. I am already looking forward to coming back to try the all you can eat option next time, as it looks like a great way to fully enjoy what they have to offer.

I tried this place today for the first time. I appreciate they have a Halal menu and serve Halal meat. Nice owner and nice serving staff. The Halal menu is simple. It's all you can eat for around 53.00 with some restrictions but it was good enough. Another great Halal option.

Wow! Now I know why my children and their spouses love it here! We were invited by my children to have lunch at this Korean restaurant. When we came, we were seated right away, the staff is attentive, checked on our table frequently. They come right away when we need a grill change, refill on banchan, or another round of meats. We had the $49 All You Can eat (Course C ) they offer a top quality meats. We had premium rib eye, marinated beef short rib, pork belly, spicy baby octopus, scallop, mussel and pork jowls. The restaurant is spacious and can occupy large groups, they also have live music on Friday nights. We all had a very nice dining experience here. I highly recommend this Korean BBQ place!

Overall, the food is 3.5/5. I rounded up to 4 for the service and the wide variety of dishes available. It's an AYCE with three different categories to choose from. We tried a mix of meats, cuts, and marinades. I liked the beef belly and spicy pork bulgogi. They serve generous portions for each order. You can select up to five items per round for a table of four. The marinated kalbi and pork jowl were fatty. The brisket and thin pork belly wers okay. The beef tongue had a rubbery texture that I personally would not recommend getting. They provide a lot of banchan, which I loved for the variety. The japchae was delicious with a nice sesame oil aroma and flavor. The pink radish paired really well with the fattier cuts of meat. There were only three servers on the night of our visit so they were busy. We had to wave them down for orders and water refills but they were always super nice and never seemed annoyed. One server noticed us waiting and helped double-check our orders. Overall, this could be a good spot for group dining if you're craving Korean BBQ.

Really good value for AYCE. We chose the middle option and weren't disappointed. Very attentive service checking back if we wanted order anything additional (limit 5 items per order) within our time limit. Things came out quickly and they change the grill grate on demand. So many different options. Nothing fancy like some Korean BBQs (no American or Japanese Wagyu, Prime, dry aged) just solid quality offering.

Ordered their bento for takeout. The bento comes with Kimchi, a small banchan, 2 pot stickers, and a slice of orange. Well worth the price and super delicious. If you didn't know before, come checkout their takeout menu. Two thumbs up.

We came on a Saturday evening, and there was no wait for a table for two. Place was nice and clean. There was live music; there was a person playing the piano. There were three course options to choose from for AYCE; we chose Course B. I ordered three meats, and my bf ordered three meats. I was pretty full off the three. We also added sides. My bf ordered one more meat after his three, but struggled to finish it, so I had to help. My favorite was the Marinated Beef Rib Finger. I wanted to get a second order of it, but I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it all. My bf's favorite out of his orders was the Marinated Beef Top Blade. Service was quick and friendly. They always checked in, and made sure we always had water.

Ok I have to update my review now that this place is under new management. This is my first time back in a while/ under new management and I have to say I was impressed. This is in my opinion the best AYCE Korean bbq in the eastside. The quality of the meats is good. Service is friendly- even on a packed Xmas night we had people checking if we need anything. I love that they don't limit how much you order. The portions are honestly super generous per order. And best of all, the price is really reasonable for how much you get and no limits on amount of orders per round. Definitely highly recommend and would come back!

Cooking a few pieces of meat
    Daria S.

We ordered the BBQ for two. It came with lots of tiny side dishes and a huge platter of meat. We had the leftovers for the next night, so I'd say it feeds four people. We had fun cooking our meats. Unlike other similar restaurants, there was no smoke in the air. They have an excellent HV/AC system that keeps the air clean. We really enjoyed all the food, especially a few things we'd never had before like mashed potato salad. The servers kept checking on us to see if we needed help BBQing. Once, a server helped us by cutting up our cooked meat with the scissors on the table. Fun food adventure!

Amazing quality and experience dining here. Staff were attentive and quick, meat was all fresh and tasty. Opted for the course C which gives you everything on the menu - definitely worth it for the marinated short ribs! Lots of seating great for groups of all sizes. They have somek towers (soju + beer) for those that like to indulge. Great spot for AYCE kbbq in Redmond for coworkers and friends.

Bon is located in the same plaza as H-Mart and so they have a shared parking lot or you could walk over from Redmond Town Center which is just a block away. The inside is surprisingly large with at least twenty tables, which is bigger than most Korean restaurants that I've seen on the Eastside. At 11:45am on a Saturday, my group of three had no problem getting a table. Their menu is extensive and has all the Korean food classics including seafood pancake, soondubu (stone pot tofu soup), galbi jjim (beef stew), Toppokki, bibimbap, and cold noodles (spicy and non-spicy versions). Their entrees are around $20 each, but some larger hot pot dishes (meant for 2-3 people) can be up to $70. I ordered the BULGOGI BIBIMBAP (~$24). Unfortunately they don't serve stone pot Bibimbap here, but the portions are large and beautifully presented. My dish came with plenty of fresh vegetables- pickled carrots and cucumbers, sesame bean sprouts, daikon kimchi, lettuce, and marinated black mushrooms (which I've never had in Bibimbap before but was soooo good) on top a bed of fluffy white rice! The egg was cooked perfectly over easy and the meat was marinated well too- I do wish the dish came with more meat though. They give you your typical sweet and spicy gochujang red sauce on the side as well as white vinegar and mustard sauce for added flavor. Service was fantastic and you get complimentary hot tea and ban chan (which are refillable). The ban chan included cucumber kimchi, daikon kimchi, sesame bean sprouts, kimchi, fish cake, and sesame choy. All employees were very friendly and made you feel at home. The inside is clean, but the only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that they have an Okay health rating and not a Good or Excellent health rating. I didn't look up the exact violations, but it would be great to see an improvement in score. Overall: 4/5 for food, 5/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

There was salad, that had like the full bottom parts of lettuce in it, there was onions in some kind of sauce, kimchi, just not a lot of things I personally like to eat. I would say their banchan definitely leans more towards Asian clientel, so if you go with someone who is a picky eater or not super familiar with asian/korean food, then just be aware of that I'd say. Overall though, I would say come here for the high quality meat! The service was good, but personally, I just won't be returning. Our family took advantage of the chicken's ability to maintain their crispiness, even for carry-out. It was OK, though a little confusing. Once we settled on KFC for dinner, our hosts (daughter and son-in-law) suggested carryout from 'The Third Place', which was a little out of the way from where we were. It is the Third restaurant opened by the owner, all Seattle area locations known for her KFC (Shin Sung Korean restaurant with Underground Kitchen and the since closed Yeon's Chicken). The chicken was ordered beforehand, and because it is prepared fresh when ordered, it took a bit of time for the order to be complete. There is a limited amount of sauce choices, so we chose Honey Garlic ($23.99) and the classic Yangnyum ($23.99), both marked as Whole Chicken size. Also a side order of french fries ($7.99) completed the order. The fries were good: nice and hot, heavily battered potatoes, providing a nice amount of carbs to go with the fried chicken. The chicken came with pickled radish (chicken-mu) which for me is a must, and it was good. In terms of the chicken, they were all wings, which isn't what I expected: getting the breast and thigh pieces chopped into bite-size pieces, battered and sauced, is what makes it KFC, vs all wings which is more like a Buffalo wing restaurant. So we still got the expected 14 pieces, but they were all wings (flats and drums). I thought the sauces were fine (intentionally ordered mild), and the chicken did maintain a crunch (though not as shattering as the best we've had).

Honey Garlic is my favorite flavor, but Yangnum is good as well. The Creamy Rice Cake is not your typical spicy, red Teokkbokki (although they do also have that). It's like they put rice cake in alfredo sauce with slices of fish cake and onions. The texture of the rice cake is superb! So tender and chewy. I order takeout via their website and food has always been ready by the specified time. There are street parking and lots available, but at times can be a pain to find an available spot.

As visitors from the Bay Area where there are a bunch of Korean restaurants, I can confidently say the food here is far better than your average Bay Area Korean restaurant. Between the four of us, we ordered a 12 half-and-half piece wing set, a seafood pancake, a tofu soup, and a beef bibimbap. Although food takes a long time to come out of the kitchen, the food is worth the wait! The seafood pancake was some of the best seafood pancake that I've had. The pancake had generous amounts of seafood in it and the crispiness could not be beat. Although the bibimbap comes in a large stone pot and is sizzling hot coming out of the kitchen, you unfortunately aren't able to extract any burnt rice from the bottom. Perhaps a little bit more oil is needed to achieve this? Despite this, it's still a really nicely constructed bibimbap bowl with a solid variety of vegetables. The chicken wings are crispy on the exterior and juicy on the interior. The wings are on the larger size, so once you get past the thin layer of crispy skin on the outside, I recommend dipping the wing back into the leftover sauce on the plate for more flavor. Last but not least, the tofu soup had a deep kimchi flavor, and was very mild in terms of spiciness. I thought the rice cakes included in the bowl were cooked perfectly and had a nice bounce to them.
