This is our favorite Friday night don't-want-to-cook-then-clean-the-mess-in-the-kitchen spot. Their salsa and pico de gallo is the best here in Twin. I always ask for a side of pico with my salsa. Their steak fajitas have a stupid-good flavor. In fact, the last few years I don't think I've had anything else. I liked their old location (downtown) over their current one (Kimberly Rd.), but the important thing is they are still open. We've never had one bad server, we've always been seated promptly, always have had our drink order within a few minutes of getting seated. Everything there is tasty and cheap. Typical bill for my wife and two (under 8) kids: 35.00 (entrees, non-alcoholic drinks) If you're passing thru Twin, please do go visit. UPDATE: Feb25, 2015. Total TOTAL disappointment. Janitzio TOTALLY changed their pico. Whereas once upon a time the pico de gallo came out fresh cut, cold, crisp and delish now the tomato's within the pico come out canned (i.e. mushy and mealy) I asked my server WTF happened to their pico and she stated that they now get their ingredients from another suppler and as such they were unable to hand-cut the tomatoes, onions, etc. I could have cried. I didn't ask for more pico (as I normally did) as I didn't even finish the pico that came with my meal. BUT, BUT, the service is still awesome, the food is still great, and you still cannot beat the price. read more

My absolute favorite restaurant. Food is excellent (try the Casuela or the Carne Adobada), portions are large, and prices are low. Staff is always friendly. During lunch, for less than the price of a Big Mac, you can get a great fresh mexican meal. read more

OMG! We just had our first meal there last weekend. It was fantastic! They seat you when you walk into the door. Someone immediately set chips, salsa, & refried beans on our table. Very shortly our waitress came to take our drink order. That came very quickly. We ordered our food at that time. It did take about 15 to 20 min to get our food but it was Friday night and the place was packed. The food was fabulous! Huge portions, plan on sharing or taking a lot home. First time coming here, here for work from Florida, tried to order to go got put on hold for 15 minutes went in restaurant told girl she left me on hold for 15 minutes, girl was rude, asked to speak to manager , girl said she was busy. We were passing through Twin Falls heading to Seattle and happened to stumble on this fantastic Mexican restaurant via yelp reviews. The chips were great and the salsa was nice and spicy. I had a chili relleno with shrimp and the sauce was yummy. It normally comes with small bay "camerones" but I upgraded to big shrimp for a small fee. I recommend it! My aunt had three crisp beef tacos and said they were good. The guacamole was good too. Very friendly service! read more

The service was excellent right from the start and the chips and salsa were superb! Everything came very fast and hot! I wasn't even in the mood for Mexican (my mom got her pick) but absolutely loved my dishes! There were plenty of vegetarian options and the prices were very reasonable! Our family ate at Janitzio's on Saturday for dinner. The atmosphere was nice and the service was good. Can't say as much about the food. I had Carne Asada. The meat was laced with gristle and was stringy. The flour tortillas were the smallest I've ever had; couldn't have been more than 4 inches across. Definitely not large enough to hold the refried beans, rice, and meat. My wife had chicken chimichangas. There was very little meat in the chimichanga's and the rice was mushy and watery. We will definitely be looking for a different Mexican restaurant the next time we go to Twin Falls, Idaho. read more

This is my top pick in Twin Falls for Mexican food! No Tex-Mex, nothing but greasy junk food here (at least I haven't ordered it). Good customer service, although, timeliness on refills/checks tends to be affected as the restaurant gets busy. That will not keep me from revisiting this restaurant. I highly recommend!!! read more

I have been coming to Janitzio ever since they started in Twin Falls at the original lacation. So much so I have been through sever of their meal cards, (Buy ten meals get $5.00 off next meal). I have had the pleasure of getting to know Gloria, she was not present this day. Never had an issue until today 11/16/14. I ordered my usual 1 Cheese Enchilada w/onions,rice and beans. I started to eat and noticed that there was a large amount of liquid, (water) coming from the enchilada and cut in for the first bite and saw that the cheese inside was all currdled, (like cottage cheese). I showed this to the waitress and she said that they can put the meal back under the heater to melt the cheese, the plates come so HOT they even tell you "Careful plate is very HOT". Really!!! Clearly thier was a problem with the Enchilada and that was the only thing offered. They still charged me full price for the party of 4. Gloria would never let this happen. read more

Worse Mexican food we have ever had. First, the booths we could see were ripped, some taped up some gaping holes. I ordered a veggie burrito. The beans were an unappetizing grey glop. The veggies were fair but included large chunks of raw carrots. I asked for mole' sauce instead of burrito sauce. The waitress grimaced like she bit into something disgusting (like my burrito?) and went to ask if this could be done and eventually wandered back and no she said. Why? Because the mole' goes on enchiladas which were smaller?! I offered to pay more mut no. My wife ordered a chili relleno that was as bad as the burrito. I also ordered an Ice tea and I think I got one but it was so totally watered down it was hard to tell. The waitress ask how it was, we told her and she just shrugged and dropped the bill on the table and walked off . The girl at the front counter didn't as when we paid the bill. I guess she knew. I love Mexican food and I have had it from WA to AZ to NM to ID and this was the worse I have ever had. read more
