This past Saturday on 2/28/2026, my wife and I arrived at this business before they opened at 10am…read morein hopes that we would order a large order for an event. They did not open up on time and were not moving with urgency to open. My wife even called the restaurant and we saw the guy answered the phone and she informed him that it was 10 after 10:00am and the doors were still locked. He continued to approach opening the door very nonchalantly and when he did open it he did not acknowledge us and another older gentlemen who was waiting with good morning, sorry for the wait nothing. Then he still drags and answers the phone to take the phone order after we have been standing outside and inside for a total of 25 minutes! The customer service doe snot exist. This was totally unacceptable and it amazes me that these owners set up in predominantly African American neighborhoods and treat patrons with the utmost disrespect! I suggest that no one spend their black dollars here! Find a black owned business that sells fired fish etc. Do not support this Red Snapper!

The ambiance was a regular bar nothing special. I will say some of the decor could make people feel some type of way. For example, there was a sign that said something along the lines of "stand for the anthem and kneel for prayer." The service was not bad but not the best. Our waitress as very nice and helpful to us. I think there was a surge in business due to a vital tik tok video, so she couldn't be super attentive because she was running around constantly to all the tables.

I have worked at Janson's Drive In since the summer of 2017. I just now quit because I couldn't handle the place anymore. The management is rude and unprofessional and they do not care about their employees. Most of the employees there are teens in high school (I started when I was 15 and I am now 18) and many of them are teenage girls. I have witnessed multiple reports of girls being harassed by the cooks who are all grown men and some with criminal records. The owner has done nothing about these reports and told one of the girls "figure it out on your own". The checks would also bounce every other week and we had to go through a whole process just to get paid. Our shifts would be 6 or 7 hours long and they would only allow us a 13 minute break (even though legally we are entitled a 30 minute break after working 6 or more hours). The working conditions are cheap and disgusting. There are leaks everywhere and there is so much grime and dirt in the back it's unsettling. I've seen firsthand the cooks prepare food without gloves or hairnets. As we all know the prices are ridiculous for low quality of food, you can get more for your money at Bouna or Portillo's. There are so many things wrong with Janson's this review could on forever. But hopefully by sharing some things that I've experienced while working there it will make you think twice before ordering food or allowing your child to work there. Edit: The owner is upset at me for quitting and told one of my fellow employees that if another job calls asking for a reference he is going to say bad things about me so I don't get the job, this just goes to show the unprofessionalism of Janson's management. read more

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. I found a strand of hair in my food, and when I brought it to the staff's attention they refused to do anything about it. No apology, no replacement, nothing. Overall the establishment felt dirty and never clean. The dining area was very unsanitary and dirty aswell. I also witnessed a young hispanic looking man with glasses yelling at the cooks, which made the environment uncomfortable and unprofessional. The restaurant does not display any food safety or ServSafe certification, which is concerning. This experience left me uneasy about the cleanliness and management of this place, and I would not recommend it. read more

My wife went there Saturday to pick up our dinner I had a Double Cheeseburger, fries and strawberry shake. The food was good, but the strawberry shake was the best I had in a long time. They must have put real strawberrys in there is was wonderful. Even my wife tried it, I almost didn't get it back. I recall going there as a kid when I lived in Beverly. Then is closed for a time and now it is back to life again and I am pleased, I will definately go there many more times. read more

The meat was roasted to a bit of a crisp in places, and the bread and sauce were just right. The fries were good, too. It looks like a place where most people carry out, but I felt very comfortable dining right there in the early evening. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but the food, the service, and the atmosphere are surprisingly welcoming once you get in there.
