@japaninn will get you fired up! For over a decade, this hibachi restaurant has been cooking and entertaining diners of all ages. Each location offers quality teppanyaki, sushi, sashimi plus well crafted cocktails, beer, wine and of course sakes. Japan Inn has 4 locations, one in Miami at Doral, and three in Broward at Boynton, Plantation and Weston. [[HIGHLIGHT]]So whether you're celebrating a birthday, date night, family night or just have a craving for good Asian food with a fantastic show, Japan Inn got you covered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Your tummy will be smiling and you'll never get bored! Alicia is our server for the second time now absolutely adorable very professional and very informative. I frequent this place because I love the customer service and the fresh sushi. I'm glad you guys hired Alicia. She brings a lot of flavor to your establishment. Thanks, Alicia.

Came here last night for my daughter's birthday to give her an awesome hibachi experience. Which she enjoyed along with the presentation as you see the picture below. The food was amazing and my daughter actually loved the soup. I've been here twice before and food still is great. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Only issue is the restroom need to be a little bit better.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had been to Japan Inn for sushi many years ago. And it was really good. Today we went for the hibachi lunch with a gift certificate from a friend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The strip mall is being renovated, so it is a bit of a mess. Nevertheless, the restaurant is easy to find in the Denny's plaza at the SW corner of University Drive and Sunrise Boulevard. There is ample parking in the lot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were seated at a hibachi table with another couple who had a young child. Not sure if their order made ours take so long (no eggs, no lemon juice, no veggies---really? Why are you at a hibachi?), but we got our plate of food exactly one hour after being seated. We started with the mushroom soup, which was delicious and had tempura crunchies in it. Hubby had steak and scallops. I had filet mignon and scallops. My steak was definitely more tender. The chef was nice but I felt sorry for him as he tried to honor the other couple's many requests and my one ask ("cook the veggies well done please"). The food was tasty and plentiful. But we didn't have any leftovers because we were very hungry. Our server Noi was very helpful and personable. She answered a lot of my questions about the difference between the lunch and dinner meals and when I wanted to know what the crunchy stuff was in the soup (tempura). With tax and tip our lunch for two was about $53.

So I came here for lunch and it was actually an amazing experience. The besides the amazing food, their drink menu is top notch. I really enjoyed their sushi and fried wontons. Anthony was my server and he did an amazing job during lunch when I dined with family. The hibachi experience was so wonderful and funny. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Really big space for a great party or dinner with others.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Amazing art work on the walls as well and when I went for lunch it was not so busy so I got to enjoy the experience fully and comfortably.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Had Japan Inn for the first time today for lunch. Ordered delivery and was pleasantly surprised by their Mexican Roll. The ingredients tasted fresh and even the ginger and wasabi were excellent. The roll itself was very filling and tasted great with eel sauce and the yum yum sauce. Can't wait to try this restaurant again. It has made a lasting impression.

Can you order hibachi "to go"?

You definitely can, your 1 phone call away

I only had eaten the clear mushroom soup and had gotten an odd reaction. Does anybody know what is in the soup/soup ingredients so I can narrow it done to what could've caused my reaction?

Clear soup is usually made with either peanut oil or sesame oil. The rest is standard ingredients used for soup bases onion, garlic, mushroom beef or chicken broth.

How many does each table seat (the tables where they cook in front of you)?

Per hibachi table can be seated up to 10 people, and it can be go over to the next table seat up to 20. But you have to let them know if you are adding more so they can set up more chairs.

I had a great time the first time, and yep it's still that girl. Let's talk about the vibe real quick. The ambiance is everything. Modern, and just really well put together. From the furniture textures to the contrast in colors it all feels super intentional but still chill. Like, they knew what they were doing when they designed this place. 10/10 on the setting alone. Let's get down to the items shall we? What We Had Drinks ____________________ + Naori Signature Drink ($15) : 8.4/10 This one's made with Pisco Berries and Triple Sec. It's a layered, fruity cocktail that's a little more complex. Personally, I prefer the Pisco Sour it's cleaner and more balanced for my taste. But if you like citrusy and berry-forward drinks, you might love this one. Again, these are my reviews based on my taste buds. You might feel differently and that's ok honey. + Espresso Martini ($16) : 9/10 Strong, chocolatey, and gets the job done. + Lychee Martini ($16) : 8.6/10 Clean and balanced. Not too sweet, just smooth and refreshing + Pisco Sour ($16) : 10/10 My fave. Fruity, with this nice cold foam on top. Pretty sure there were peach or passionfruit notes in there. So good. * Shots - We also did a round (Don Julio, I think), and it kept the vibe going. Appetizers/Entrees __________________ +Nikkei Tiradito ($19) : 10/10 Thin tuna slices with a shouyu sauce that had a little citrusy kick. I could've had another plate just for myself. +Grilled Octopus ($20) : 8.4/10 This was good! Cooked well, had a nice char. Not my favorite thing on the table, but still strong comes with Peruvian corn and potato. +Arroz Chaufa Special ($24) : 10/10 Babyyy this dish was everything. Wok-fried rice, perfectly seasoned. That filet was so tender, and the shrimp just brought it all together. Easy standing ovation for me. * Dessert - I honestly can't remember what we ordered for dessert, but it was decent. Nothing crazy. I'd give it a 7/10. Overall Experience: 10/10 Customer Service: 10/10 Would I Be Back? Without a doubt. I even told my mom about this place and I think she went a couple months ago! It smelled so, so good. I had called and the guy said they were not busy. We walk in and the lady asked if we had a reservation. Wish he would have mentioned that but anyway, we were sat right away. Our server took quite a while to come over. When she did, she was very nice. We started with Kirin beers that were ice cold. He ordered some fancy eel roll. I had a piece but I am not a fan of eel. It did seem well put together. My JB roll was the best one I ever had. Truly delicious and fresh. We also ordered Mongolian beef. This was really delicious and not overly salted. I was surprised the portion wasn't bigger for a $25 price. Still, very tasty. The side dish of brown rice came about 10 minutes after the dish arrived. This was a bit annoying. We ordered the fried rice with chicken and shrimp later on. When it arrived, I thought it didn't look great. That all changed when I tasted it. The flavors here for the hot food items are very authentic. This dish doesn't seem to photograph well either but let me tell you, it is awesome! There are big tasty shrimps in there, maybe 6 of them. Our waiter checked in on how we were liking our meal and even turned a hot latte into iced without any problem. The outdoor patio is beautiful as it overlooks the beach right across the street. We went for breakfast which has a small but amazing menu. As a vegan myself I had to order off the "sides" portion of the menu and I ordered an English muffin and a sliced avocado - very affordable ($5 total). I also ordered the fruit platter ($10) which came with an array of yummy fruits including pear, melons, pineapple, oranges, grapes and strawberries. There was more than enough for our table of three! My daughter had the pancakes which came with a warmed jam, syrup, and whipped cream. She said they were very fluffy. My husband had the chaffles which are croissants pressed in a waffle maker. They came with the same sides as the pancakes. And again he said they were so light and fluffy. We rounded off our meal with iced lattes - mine made with oat milk - and they were outstanding. I usually do not like iced drinks but the weather called for it and I was not disappointed! Overall Takato's breakfast is A+ and the view takes it over the edge of greatness! I hope you get a chance to enjoy it as much as we did! We returned to Takato for dinner and what an amazing meal we had. My one warning is to ask about portion size as many dishes are worthy of sharing size. We ordered an array of food. My son loved the kimchi short rib tacos (2 to an order). My daughter had the duck bao and California roll - both received two thumbs up! My husband had the wagyu sliders which he thought were an appetizer but ended up being a good sized meal served with french fries. He said the burger roll was a bit dry and could have used a sauce. The fries received rave reviews. We also had the mushroom gyoza (5 to an order) and these were delicious. I had the Takato salad without cheese and it did not disappoint. It came in a big bowl with crispy tofu. And I also enjoyed the vegetable sushi which provided a light fragrant taste with a crunchy texture. Takato hits the mark on all fronts and will definitely be a place to which we return whenever we come to Ft. Lauderdale!
