$32 ?! "SNOW CRAB 'ZUWAIGANI'. Y'all I'm not convinced this is real snow crab and not imitation crab....
Shannon H.

This was my first experience at Ra Sushi. I went with my sister to place an order for pick up and get a drink while we waited for the food to be prepared. Decided to "treat yo' self" and do the Snow Crab Roll for $29 and gyoza, spicy tuna hand roll and the shrimp tempura hand roll. The first surprise was looking at the receipt - the $29 Roll and $11 gyoza rang up as $32 and $14. I pointed out the error and was told - those were the delivery/ pick up price. Wait...what? "It's the cost of the containers". As a woman who travels all over the US - I have never experienced a $3 up charge for take-away containers. Also - wasn't told about it - felt like I was hoodwinked. I can't get over the $32 Crab Roll - that roll wasn't worth more than $15 max. I promise that was imitation crab on a California roll. Very mediocre - wish I would have gone for a filet at another restaurant, at that price. Hand rolls were mid. Gyoza greasy. Save yourself the trip. There has to be better sushi spots in Plantation

Good Happy Hour Menu. 9pm to close. Various dishes from chips and salsa, gyoza, sushi rolls and shrimp. Located in the middle of plantation walk with a nice relaxing atmosphere. Nice night. Good service as well. I enjoyed it.

I came here on a Tuesday for lunch since another sushi place I wanted to try was temporarily closed. There was not a lot of people and it was quiet when I came in. I ordered a lemonade and poke bowl. They do put a lot of fish in the poke bowl so no complaints there. It was good overall.

I really wanted to like RA Sushi I've heard the happy hour prices are good so we went to try, but unfortunately it was a disappointing experience. Our waitress wasn't very knowledgeable about the menu. When I asked about a cocktail, instead of describing the flavor or making a recommendation, she simply read the list of ingredients from the menu. The same thing happened when I asked about a sushi roll that wasn't described on the menu--her response was essentially, "It's what you're looking up on your phone," which was odd and not helpful at all. On top of that, there didn't seem to be any air conditioning, so the restaurant was uncomfortably warm. The sushi itself was just okay. The rolls kept falling apart, making them difficult to eat. While the food wasn't inedible, it definitely wasn't worth the price or the overall experience. (Not even at happy hour) Unfortunately, I won't be returning.

Thought i was coming for a quick lunch for some sushi and this turned into almost 2 hours. We were seated right away so that was no issue then ordered drinks happy to know it was happy hour. We ordered water and 2 drinks for the table amd surprisingly the water took at least 15 min to arrive and when our server came back we started to order Edamame and some rolls we also tried the lobster roll. Edamame you can't mess up but the lobster rolls had no flavor and was disappointed. The sushi rolls were good. My only concern was the wait time. Our sever mentioned they only had 1 sushi chef but as soon as we asked where the food was it magically appeared.

Viva Las Vegas Roll

RA Sushi located within the Plantation Walk plaza. It's really centrally located and easy to find with parking along the street and also in the garage. Came here to eat with some high school friends and we were able to grab a table for 9 easily! The service was pretty prompt at the beginning but started to taper off as the night went on. Service is usually meh at all RA locations but this one was a bit more off than usual. The food was overall okay but the service really impeded the experience for me. I was also SUPER surprised that asking for spicy mayo on the side cost an extra $2. I thought that these sauces typically came with our rolls (especially the Viva Las Vegas Roll) but was so surprised when we got the bill and that charge was tacked on. I typically understand but would've appreciated the server letting us know that this was an extra charge. The servers also always brought food to our table that wasn't ours. By the end of the night, the service was super lackluster and after asking for our bill multiple times and many mix ups, we were given a wet receipt. Again, I know service at RA is never thaaaaat great, but this one was not a great experience.

Unfortunately the dishes we had were over battered and not flavorful. Enjoyed the drinks but I didn't come just for the drinks We did enjoyed the bang bang shrimp out of the 4 dishes we had.

Ordered take out, was ready fast on a Saturday night. Poke bowl was mostly rice. Ra chicken fried rice portion was small, came in pint container.

This restaurant is open late for dinner which is a big plus. The happy hour menu is nice til closing time. Food was well made and the sushi was delicious when we finally got it. The cocktails were decently made but it took a long while to get our drinks. The restaurant was not crowded. The interior was well decorated. Wait Service was questionable and not very caring. The waiter did not check on us much when we needed to order more menu items or get more drinks. He was more concerned with talking and laughing to other waiters while playing with his hair. This could have been a nice experience but we felt neglected.

Sat at the bar Missed the first happy hour But by the time the second one came we were too full Had a few apps and a few drinks , over all it was yummy and the atmosphere was good Tempura calamari Shrimp burrito Margaritas

Got here around 3:23 pm on a Saturday with 2 of my friends. We walked in just in time for happy hour which started at 3. I was looking forward to my meal because I hadnt been to RA in years. This was my first time at this location. It wasn't busy at all so we got seated right away. The hostess who greeted us was friendly. We were then greeted by our server Angel. Who took our drink orders right away. We asked for 3 waters and 2 cocktails. It took about 15 minutes to make it to the table. I think that was too long. It was a Lycheetini and a Pina Colada. Both drinks were just ok. They were both included in the happy hour. After looking over the menu, and getting some explanations from Angel. We ordered edamame Lobster Devil eggs, Vegas Rolls, Crunchy shrimp tempura rolls, and what I believed was rackin shrimp rolls on the happy hour menu. This food took about 45 minutes to get to the table. I actually had to ask Angel what was taking so long and he said they only had one Sushi chef. He should've warned us earlier if that was the case. The edamame was good. Lobster Deviled Eggs. VERY bland. Didn't taste like the yoke was "Deviled" at all. Came with 2 eggs cut in half, for $14. All of the rolls were good. We added eel sauce and spicy mayo to take it up a notch. Yummy. The shrimp on top of the rackin shrimp rolls were not hot. Felt like it had been sitting a while before they brought it to me but it was still good. A problem arised when the check came. On the happy hour menu, The rolls are $12. However, the rackin shrimp roll showed as $20 on the bill. When I brought it up to Angel he said that the rackin shrimp and rackin shrimp rolls are 2 different things, sorry if he confused me." This bothered me though, because I told him that I wanted to stay on the happy hour menu. If he realized that I ordered something off of the regular menu, he should've said something. I never even opened the regular menu. He was standing there the entire time as I asked him questions about items on the happy hour menu. He made no effort to correct it. Although I was annoyed, I paid my bills and left. I probably wont return. Not because of the bill but because the service was so slow

A nice Sushi bar that specializes in some pretty darn good rolls as well as some good drinks. I recently was here for happy hour and had a nice amount of food/drink at some really nice prices! I sat at the bar and only waited a few moments for the bar tender to come over. She went over the items on the menu and came back after giving me a little time to look over it. She had some good recommendations and, because it was cold, I got a carafe of the hot sake as well as a sushi roll of the spicy tuna. The rice on the tuna roll was amazing and cooked perfectly. It also had a nice stickiness to it that held together while I was eating it. The tuna had a nice kick to it without being overpowering and the heat died down after a few seconds, making it a delicious roll. I wish it was bigger! For the price of $6 it can't be beat! The sake was nice and warm and I liked that it was served very pretty in a nice white ceramic carafe. It had a nice flavor to it and mixed well with the sushi roll. On a cool day like it was, this was the best choice. My friend got Dragon Bite. It was nice and sweet but I wasn't a huge fan of it. At $12 dollars, I would not get it personally but to each their own. Overall a great experience and I will be back again for happy hour here in the future! Great service, food and drinks, nothing could be better!

You have no idea what you are missing out on. The atmosphere along with dining experience is perfect every time we visit here. I recommend ordering whatever you are craving and you won't be disappointed. Today, we ordered the Otoro spoons, sushi moriwase, chef special appetizers, chicken pad Thai, grilled octopus, toro sashimi, scallop sashimi, sweet shrimp nigiri, and ube flan for dessert. The quality of the fish was fresh as usual, and the customer service was on point. Thank you so much Ha, for serving us, and we will definitely be back for some more sushi in the near future. Yes, I would recommend this place to other sushi lovers as well as customers who enjoy kitchen food because they aren't yet accustomed to eating raw fish. The eatery was buzzing on a Saturday evening with its modernly decorated dining room constantly filling up. Seating about 80, it also sports a sushi bar. Our server, Jensen, provided great service and excellent suggestions. I had an otoro version of a margarita. It came with sugar on the rim. Not to my liking. We ordered the coconut rock shrimp appetizer that came with large, meaty shrimp and a great dipping sauce. But the shrimp had no flavor and was very bland. We also had the tuna crispy rice. The presentation was lovely. But the appetizer was underwhelming. For dinner we had the cucumber skin roll with tuna, salmon, and a avocado. Again, a beautiful presentation with tuna that melted in your mouth. But again, not impressive. The standout was the curry udon with chicken katsu; thick, meaty udon noodles; and a delectable curry sauce so good I slurped up each drop. Of course we had to try the pandan creme brulee and the ube flan. The latter being the better of the two desserts. Dinner for two with 1 alcoholic drink, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 2 desserts, tax, and tip was $128.

It was a jumbo tray with a full pineapple, fried rice, flavorful meat, and an appetizer. I do not recall because it's been a while. At that point, I would have given this place five stars because we had good service. But the second time around, I came with a girlfriend, and it was disappointing. Because I had a good time the first time, I thought she would like it too, and assumed all the other menu items would be up to par along with the customer service... But it was a stark difference from the last visit. We took our time perusing through the menu, which is large and had good variety, so it took us a while to finally decide. But I was perplexed why we never got the platter menu so after some time, I asked our waitress for the menu and she said "Oh whoops, I should've given that first!" That already was a red flag because if that's the first menu for us to see, in which it was the first menu I saw last time, it tells me their platters are the best sellers and the rest of the menu are mid... My friend ordered the chicken teriyaki and she wasn't pleased. I thought it's perhaps because she chose a simpler dish, but when she offered me to try it, I can see why she disliked it... The chicken was unbearably dry and lacked flavor. I got the Hong Kong noodles with beef and it wasn't bad. We shared egg rolls before our meals which were OK, but I never received my tom yum soup. The service was slow and the waitress was not attentive at all. It was a little busier with several tables filled compared to my last visit, but we saw a party of three arrive 20 minutes after us and they were able to leave before we finished our dinner, so that made us feel like we were an afterthought. So with that experience, I bring my stars down to 3 and recommend that if you do visit, the large sharable platters are the only things worth it there. As you've read in my experience, customer service is hit or miss. It looks like a trendy spot with each booth having a neon-lit quote, so I'll give it that. The platters looked very trendy and aesthetic, but the apps and meals we had from the regular menu did NOT look trendy or aesthetic at all. It seems that they only focus their creativity and energy on those three platters.

We originally came in to try their special menu duck ramen, but after seeing the strange blend of add-ins (including two kinds of eggs and corn), we decided to order from the regular menu. Sadly, the regular menu didn't fare much better. The sauce for the pad thai was too acidic and watery, and the chicken was dry. Our first gyoza order came out burnt, and the second offered extremely plain filling with dumpling skins that were thick and gummy. The negi toro roll wasn't the freshest I've ever had, and the texture of the rice was off. The Thai tea was too sweet, too. Things weren't inedible, but not a single dish was something I'd be happy to receive. It was 20% off all rolls for HH which brought it to a more competitive price. They gave plenty of ginger/gari which was great. I wish there were more specialty rolls with salmon as primary but there was just the one. Also, a regular salmon roll was not on the menu which I found odd since tuna roll was there. I decided to finish my meal with one of my favorites: hotate/scallop. The nigiri is listed as 2pc and sashimi as 3pc. I went sashimi since I was relatively full. It was basically one a scallop cut into thirds. Misleading for sure but I expected something like this. What I did not expect was that the scallop was lightly seared. It gave the scallop like a char aroma. While it wasn't bad, it was not what I wanted. Now I know scallops here are a no go for me. Service was good. It was not very busy when I was there. I would come back for HH and to try some of their cocktails. Not enough value for me otherwise.
