They had a nice entrance with some specials highlighted that we decided to sample. The salsa is a good portion which I always like and we ordered the salsa sampler which surprisingly came with homemade pork rinds. I wasn't expecting that! The green salsa was very good but the bean one with hot dogs wasn't my favorite. We decided to split the chicken and steak (mixed) molcajete and had a frozen and spicy skinny margarita (both delicious). The molcajete was absolutely humongous and enough food for 4 or 6 people. They brought us a side of jalapeños that were great as well as a spicy salsa for me (who loved the heat). I'll definitely be back here to try more from the menu!

I had the lengua (beef tongue) the chicharron (pork skin) and the chorizo (sausage) all were very good and very filling. I didn't need 3 for sure. The chorizo was by far my favorite and I will def have it again sometime. I walked in and it was pretty slow for a lunch time. I walked right up and ordered at the counter. The girl was very nice and helpful and my food was out in about 10 minutes. I definitely recommend you try this spot out if you are in the Springfield area.

We were vacationing in the area, and ended up nearby with an hour to kill so this was the destination when searching for Mexican restaurants. The menu is comparable to our usual NW Ohio haunts, but that, my friends, is where the similarity ends. My husband ordered the chicken taco lunch special, I ordered a hard shell taco with a chile relleno lunch special, and my son had the chicken nacho children's plate. The chips and salsa were an excellent surprise! The salsa had a nice kick to it. We all like a bit of spice so this was great. Everything came out quickly, and I must say that the house margaritas are wonderful (It was a looong drive). My taco was good, but the showstopper for this whole visit was the Chile relleno. The sauce! The cheese! The omelet it was wrapped in! Pure perfection! My son was a bit tired from the car ride so he couldn't finish his nachos, but the chicken tacos my husband had were excellent. What little I had of the guacamole made me want more. All in all, this is a fine lunch restaurant with excellent pricing! We are in barbeque country and plan on coming back. This place just got even better! They completely renovated the entire resturant plus they now have liquor, hence Margaritas. I eat there several times a month and have seldom had a problem getting seated or being served. The menu is extensive and I have never had a bad meal. My recommendation ... Fish Tacos basic but awesome! If you haven't been in a while go check it out, you'll be glad you did. read more
