Not sure what the hype is about Jarrito Loco, maybe the folks in Monument were just overly excited to have something new. My wife and I shared some items. The Loco breakfast burrito was ok. Not great and not worth $8. For a better breakfast burrito I'll stick to Taco Express or Rodolfo's. The tostadas were overly bland. Basically it was like they forgot to season the carnitas, chicken and carne asada. Heck even the guac was boring. The staff seemed lackadaisical about service, the kitchen staff even more so as it took quite awhile to get said food. As far as I'm concerned it's the best Mexican restaurant in Colorado Springs and maybe even the entire state. First of all, everything is scratch-made in house. That's more than most places can say and you can absolutely tell. From the chips to the tortillas to the salsas. They're all absolutely delicious. And they use Abuela's old home recipes so that's another reason it's so delicious. The mole is the best I've had outside of Mexico; same with the guacamole. I could fill up on salsa verde and I might just do that one day instead of even ordering an entree. The put an aggressive amount of cotija cheese on everything which is the right way to go about it. Basically, if I were to design a Mexican restaurant I'd make it exactly like Jarrito Loco. Can't recommend it highly enough! read more

Great food, nice family run place. Unique and authentic flavors. The poblana sauce is my favorite, the ranchera is good, too and they have a lot of other good options. I usually get chicken enchiladas. My husband likes the veggie flautas. Just wish the takeout stayed hot for longer but I understand there's only so much they can do. House specialty carne asada was fresh tasting, but I would rather have paid a bit more and gotten higher quality meat. My brother did not enjoy his chicken fajitas. This is our favorite Mexican restaurant in Colorado. Everything is amazing. Try the salsa sampler. Then you can get familiar with the salsas. They have a very unique, yummy mole sauce. We like it on enchiladas. It's the best mole sauce I've ever had, ever. I'm not much of a mole fan but I really like this one. Another one of our favorites is their vegetarian chili relents. They're the best! Best margarita is the Cadillac. My husband would argue that it is the jalapeño cucumber margarita that is best. read more

We stopped by for a late lunch and were absolutely impressed by the delicious food. IT was hands down the best Mexican food we have had. We started out with the OUTSTANDING and tasty nachos, which for two of us was a bigger portion than we could finish. Then we had chicken enchiladas, also very good, and the pork chops which were a staff recommendation and utterly delicious. We loved the green sauce so much we bought some to take home also! Have to say that I'm from SoCal and go to Mexico often for their food. This place is sooo amazing. I ordered the enchiladas lunch special with salad instead of beans. The salad came with a homemade dressing that was the best I think I've ever had. The salsa for the enchiladas was the perfect level of spicy and he meat was perfectly flavored. The horchata was a little sweeter than I'm used to but delicious nonetheless. Highly recommend this place And it was soo inexpensive with the lunch special. Normal price is more of an expected price.
