I was able to rescue at least one cup cake for a picture! Perhaps the least attractive of the batch, but still impressive. The designs and creativity of everything they do at Pushkin's is amazing. The flavor and taste equals anything made with wheat or other flours. This is an excellent place. I will definitely use it for an ongoing dessert and bakery shop.

Saturday morning rainy day donut blind taste test. So yeah, we sampled donuts from 4 local well known "pink box" donut shops. Over a couple hours of course so no one got sick. As my notes show, it was very detailed and followed a scientific method of course. Congrats to Foothills Donuts as the overall point winner. Mary is the owner and always at the counter. Very nice. Rocklin Donuts & Cinnamon and Jasmine Donuts are both in Rocklin and a close tie for second. Cinnamon is a featured shop that gained regional fame as a top shop. Jasmine was the least expensive. Baker Ben's came in last but one thing we learned was top picks were all over the place (personal preference), so in the end our family suggestion is go to whichever shop is closest too you. After repeatedly counting the money, he told me I would have to wait because he was about to clock out at 11:00 PM and needed to finish counting his drawer first. What concerned me most was that after handling cash, he immediately asked what I wanted to order. I requested that he wash his hands first. He refused, saying he wasn't going to touch the donuts with his hands because he would use tongs. Regardless, basic hygiene and food-handling practices should be taken seriously, especially when serving customers. At that point, I decided not to order anything and left. The entire experience felt unprofessional, unsanitary, and unwelcoming. It's disappointing to see a business operate this way. Management should seriously review customer service expectations and food safety procedures.

They have a steady stream of customers, which is not surprising given the quality. Thana and her husband own the three locations. Costumer service is very good, although there are times when they could use another person to help handle the crowd. The seating area is small and not especially comfortable. Overall they are pricey but the quality is excellent and the selection is hard to beat.

The crepe included mozzarella cheese and egg with an option to include avocado, which I opted out. According to their Instagram page the price of the turkey bacon crepe was $12, however, at the farmers market all their sweet and savory crepes were priced around $3 more. The crepe was filling.
