Best and I mean some of the best lamb chops I have ever had. Yellow rice was actually flavorful with corn (never seen that before) and their garlic sauce - Honey Chile spread that on cardboard and it would be good LOL - that stuff is addictive. Hummus is excellent and they give you a very nice portion that is shareable as an app! I started with the good - the bad not the cleanest placed I have dined and the bathrooms left a lot to be desired and well I saw and even snapped a pic of a bug (not the kind you want to see in a restaurant let's put it that way) and when I made the waitress aware she merely said I will tell the owner and that's it folks. Now I would have thought the owner or the manager or someone with authority would have come out to speak to us on that unpleasant part of our experience but nope did not happen. That being said I understand any restaurant has its challenges with bugs so I won't necessarily write you completely off but I do expect some acknowledgement and some kind of gesture. It's a hole in the wall but it is supported by the likes of all - I''m sure it is the food that brings people back time and time again. I will probably go back myself but only to give it one more chance. I read one of the reviews that said when they visited the sanitation score was 87 so it had come up by the time we visited at 92 but definitely need to work on that folks. The location is good with ample parking off South Blvd. The food tasted good. I had a chicken Shawarma plate with yellow rice. The service was mediocre and the restaurant did not feel clean. There was a table with dirty dishes on it the entire time we were there. Instead of cleaning the table, the servers sat down and played with phones, even while our water classes were empty. The hallway to the bathroom was cluttered with boxes and supplies. If you can close your eyes and just taste the food, this might be your place. read more

Jasmine Grill has some of the most authentic Arabic/Mediterranean fair I have found in NC. You can't go wrong with any of the food options. I took my mom there recently to show her the authenticity. We had the mini mazza and everything was stellar. We rounded out the dinner with baclava and knafeh. The baclava was good, but standard. The knafeh was AMAZING... the only thing I wish was kept was the usual, pistachio topping but that is just me being picky. The only reason I am providing 4 stars is that the location was low staffed and a tad unclean. Please do not let that discourage your visit! But my final straw was a woman at the to go counter HOLDING A DOG! A long haired dog, while food was being packaged and prepared. The lack of hygiene and food safety practices here are unacceptable. I ordered the 2 kebab platter (1chicken, 1 shrimp) that came with two sides to go. I got rice and paid the extra $2.99 to upgrade one of my sides to Taboleh Salad. The total for this food was $27 and I tipped $3. On yelp, the portions looked generous. I called to see if maybe it was a mix up and they said no, the 2 kebab platter gets only 4 pieces of each. Whilst the food here isn't bad, the service is in dire need of improvement. Jasmine Grill is located on South Blvd in a plaza. The location is small and in the middle of lots of closed businesses, might be easy to miss. This place serves Middle Eastern cuisine - a sign in the restaurant specifies the owner is from Syria I believe. It's a casual environment, nothing very fancy. You can dine in or take out. Falafel, chicken, yellow rice, Kababs - they have the works. While the menu isn't huge or extensive, they cook some middle eastern favorites. I tried the falafel special, which comes with a salad and a lentil soup. The soup was okay. The falafel and rice were okay. It took well over 25 minutes to get my food, and no one even stopped to ask me if I needed anything or explain why there was a holdup. Totally my personal opinion, but I believe they were a bit understaffed for the size of the crowd. I've since been notified they've hired 4 more employees, because it gets pretty busy in here! The owner promptly realized there was a bit of a hiccup with our order, and graciously attended to us personally and even threw in a free dessert to apologize. My friend recommended Jasmine Grill years ago, but I hadn't been there until recently. I'm a fool for not trying it sooner! Everything I've had has been superb. The chicken shawarma wrap has never disappointed me, the lentil soup is flavorful and comforting, and the knaffeh is delicious. Sometimes they miss putting out a plate here or a salt and pepper service there...but if you ask, you shall receive, and typically with a smile rather than a grimace. My wife loves the place and she always has the same thing: this succulent beef kabob made with tenderloin steak, not sirloin. Marinated, and tender as butter with a charred crust and medium rare interior. It's good. I always get the grilled, half chicken. Marinated and grilled to a crispy char finish where it should be and most, flavorful and tender elsewhere on the dark and white meat. Sides are varied and all good. If you have 4 people, get a Mini Mazza appetizer and share it with the table. Saucing could be better. Mayo garlic, garlic mayo? Was pretty old. At least whip it up fresh with some herbs once in a while. Got "sauce" could be improved with some vinegar and more flavorful species to complement the jalapeño. All and all a wonderful joint. We used to go to the Jasmine Grill on South Blvd and absolutely loved the food, so we were delighted when we saw a second location was opening just up the road from our house in Pineville. The week it opened we went for dinner one night and were blown away by the quaint atmosphere, with real Moroccan lamps over each booth. Our server, Marwa, was SO friendly and welcoming. She comped us drinks (and also baklava upon leaving). She was helpful and informative with the menu, gracious, and had an endearing, positive personality. The food was amazing! This place is legit. I went during December 2019. I am just now catching up with my yelp reviews. The service was great. The food was excellent. We ordered grape leaves for appetizers. I ordered the shrimp & lamb kabobs. I personally found that the shrimp could of been cooked a little longer. The lamb was cooked perfectly. Well seasoned for both. Personally my favorite was (toum) it's the small garlic sauce served with your kabobs. I could eat that with everything. We got a side of the yogurt sauce. Did not come with meal. It's charged as a appetizer price just keep in mind well worth it. If I ever make a trip back to Charlotte, NC I'll definitely be visiting the Jasmine. This was my second time trying Jasmine Grill. The first time I ordered togo and got an order of Falafel. The falafel was good and I can remember it ranking high on my falafel meter for the Charlotte area. On this visit I actually dined in the restaurant during lunch. Upon arrival we were greeted and told to pick wherever we wanted to sit. We ordered the Baked Pies as our appetizer and for our entrees the Beef and Lamb Shawarma plate and the Kofta Plate. We both got the Yellow Rice and the Lentil Soup as our side items. I thought the cheese baked pies were little chewy. The meat ones were fine but they just didn't seem overall fresh to me. I probably won't ever order those again. I was a little concerned because I didn't see any meat rotating for the Shawarma. I will say at first bite the meat did taste a little dry like it could be day old but overall it was tasty and well seasoned. My friends Kofta tasted amazing. I will definitely get that the next time. Each plate came with garlic sauce and spicy sauce. We both used all our spicy sauce but didn't use the garlic sauce. The consistency reminded of both of mayo and we don't like mayo. I did ask for tahini sauce. I saw some other people eating lamb chops and they looked delicious. I will have to come back and try those too. The portions were great size for the price. We had plenty of food. Service was good. I will definitely be back again. I have been eating at Jasmine Grill for several years at least once a month. The food has always been good. Well I visited last Wednesday to pick up a plate to go. I ordered the Tilapia over garlic white rice. My rice was mushy and the cook burned my Tilapia on both sides and the edges. When I got home I called the Restaurant back to just let them know that the food was not good. They offered to re cook it but I was 20-25 mins away. I just explained to the person on the phone that the cook should not had sent that order out. They have become very inconsistent . read more

Portions are generous and prices are very affordable. I ordered the kebab platter with two lamb kababs. The lamb was some of the most succulent and delicious grilled lamb I have ever had in my life. I came here for the first time over the weekend with my family and we loved it! It's off of South Blvd with a large parking lot so parking isn't an issue. Service was top-notch! We arrived a little after 8PM and didn't realize they close at 9PM. I don't like going to restaurants an hour before they close because employees probably want to leave on time but everyone was so friendly and we never felt rushed. We loved everything we ordered. I could eat hummus all day and theirs was amazing. The tapoleh salad was refreshing, the lamb shank meat was fall off the bone tender, and the Baba ghanoush had a hint of smokey flavor.
