I tried out the food at the new Jasmine Pavilion and the food was delicious! I too traveled from DeSoto, KS to try it out and was very very pleased. The owners and staff are very friendly and courteous and know how to run a restaurant. The place was very clean and had a very nice feel to it. I will definitely being dining in soon. Now back to the food. I too am very picky about where I eat Chinese food at. Well all the food I ordered was so great. The vegetables are very fresh and had a nice crisp to them and not over cooked. The brown sauce was so tasty that was used in my Chicken & Vegetable Hunan Style and they give you plenty of vegetables as well as the chicken. The Vegetable Lo Mein is so tasty also. The Steamed Dumplings are great as well and are stuffed very nicely with plenty of meat mixture. The dipping sauce for the Steamed Dumplings is some of the best I have ever tasted...YUM! This place is definitely worth the trip and the time to check it out. Oh and my husband said the Honey Chicken and General Tso's Chicken is some good eat'n right there! :) Lastly they do offer NO MSG on some of their foods, but you just have to ask. I ordered the Chicken and Vegetable Hunan Style with NO MSG and it was still amazing without all that sodium. read more

What a great discovery to take a chance on a new independent restaurant and come away with a remarkably positive experience. Exhibiting excellent customer service is a valuable commodity and Jasmine Pavilion should be a role model of how to do this well. Edwind was a gracious, friendly, and attentive server. Lunch specials are an amazing value and include a choice of soup, appetizer, main entree, and rice for under $6.00. The food was superb in quality, presentation, and taste. Unlike most Chinese restaurants, the soups and main entrees were not saturated with salt and over-sauced - the balance was perfect, vegetables super fresh, and everything served promptly. We enjoyed Spicy Beef and Moo Goo Gai Pan entrees. Nicely decorated, easy listening music, and perfect in small size, Jasmine Pavilion is a special, unhurried place tucked away in a perfect neighborhood spot. We wish them the best of success and continued attention to offering top notch customer service and quality food. This will place them far and above other competition. This restaurant could be better. The service wasn't as good as I expected it to be. There was no waitress so the cashier kept running around. It would've been nice if she had came to our table and said "Is everything okay?". She came to our table once and she didn't really smile much. The food came out pretty fast so I was really surprised. But it got cold really quickly and didn't taste so good. The Sweet and Sour Chicken was average. It was a bit too salty and the meat quality was okay. The fried rice was a quite bland and tasted like white rice with peas and eggs. The crabrangoons were over fried and it seems like the oil they use isn't very clean. The eggrolls had this "smell" in the meat when I ate there so it didn't taste that well. Overall the inside and the decorations were nice. My spoon was still a little dirty when I opened the cloth, so I wished they would've cleaned it better because I ended up using a fork the rest of the time I dined there. read more

Very consistent, very good price, very good service. I can get a quality 5 dollar lunch special and for dinner they have an amazing sizzling mongolian habachi dish that comes steaming on an iron pan that is so flavorful for only 8.95. I also get hot and sour soup there for 1.95 to clear my sinus in the spring I get in and out in under 30 minutes every time I go. I also respect that they stand out to say that they are Christian owned and runned. Love the dumplings, best in olathe. read more

Received the wrong order Sunday evening and the owner reached out to me on Monday outside of operating hours/days to let me know she'd seen my review and wanted to replace my order on Tuesday when they reopened. I've never experienced that level of customer service from an owner on their off day. Reminded me of why I always get my tofu from this place if I'm not cooking it myself. read more
