If you USED TO like Fortune Wok, you'll want to try Jasmine Pavilion. It's everything FW used to be: fresh and perfectly prepared. There is a little bit of uniqueness to the typical menu items. I'd say the chef has a bit of a sweet tooth. The crab rangoon are sweeter than most places and the pastry items (dumplings and such) are richer than usual. No complaints from me though! I'm so glad that Jasmine Pavilion has opened close to our home. We have tried eating there and also take out. Both are VERY good. The vegetable egg fu yung is very good, the honey walnut shrimp is excellent and so is everything else we have tried. The staff is so friendly and efficient and the decor is pleasant. Great food and service. The owner is very friendly and makes an effort to get to know her customers. The only drawback is eating in the establishment. I work 2 doors down from this place and I come here often and the food is great. But tonight I walked in and ordered BEEF and broccoli, and after waiting it comes out and I got CHICKEN and broccoli. I told them I ordered beef and not chicken. And the owner lady comes out and rudely tried to explain that chicken and beef are completely different like I was an idiot and continued to say that they would fix it but they would charge me AGAIN for a mistake they made. Beautiful interior, worst lomein kids have had (read another reviewer agrees it's that bad). The walnut breaded shrimp not cooked properly and gooey. I had 13 hrs of vomiting after eating most of it. Also, I got tricked on their prices, wasn't given the lunch special price but double amount. This place can be expensive for a bunch of crap food. Friendly lady works there though, place needs a better professionally trained cook. I wouldn't chance this place again because of the food poisoning. This little place is close to our house and has good prices but the food is just okay. We occasionally order from them when we're craving Chinese food but too lazy to drive far to pick it up. If you order chicken be aware that unless you request white meat you're going to get grisly, fatty chunks of weird looking meat. Also, they tend to use a lot of water chestnuts to make a dish go further. The food is definitely better when you eat in than carry out. read more

The family just made our fourth trip to Jasmine Pavilion a distance of 18 miles one way to again sample some of the best Chinese food this side of China. We were seated immediately and drinks were quickly brought. My wife and I both had the Kung Pao Triple delight and my son had the Kung Pao Chicken. We also had the egg rolls and the fried dumplings. I loved the Triple delight it had just enough heat to sneak up on you but it wasn't to hot to handle. I had my double order of fried dumplings and they were just as good as the previous times...OH so good. The egg rolls which we had were stuffed full, crispy and tasty. We also had Hot & Sour Soup and Egg Drop soup, the Hot & Sour was really good and was even full of meat which most restaurants don't include in their soup. My wife loved the Egg Drop as well, we look forward to many more visits and great eating. read more

I listened to some friends go on positively about Jasmine Pavilion so I decided to try it. I love many varieties of Asian food and especially Far Eastern dishes. I am not a food snob and I try to find any positive I can in a restaurant. The only positive I found in Jasmine Pavilion was the interior decor. We placed a carry out order, as we've done a couple of times before. We all ordered something different (sweet & sour shrimp, General Tso's, Mongolian Beef and Honey chicken. The order was ready at the time they specified. They weren't overly busy, maybe 3 tables. When we got the food home I noticed the General Tso's had been tossed with the standard sauce, but under that I could see a lot of white on the chicken. After looking closer I realized it was flour from the breading. Normally this is fried to a golden brown ... I've never seen flour all over each piece. I was concerned that it wasn't fully cooked and called Jasmine's. The woman that answered the phone proceeded to tell me this is normal & that's how they do it. I explained to her that I've ordered this many times before, and NO it is not normal. She didn't offer to remake the entrée nor any solution. We had plenty of food so we just shared the other 3 entrees. I decided to just let it go. We'd been to Jasmine's several times before with no major issues. About 30 minutes later the lady started sending me text messages repeating how this is normal. She obviously got my phone number from when I called it in ... which totally offends me ... stalker! I did not reply to any of her text messages and promptly blocked the phone number. Due to her final actions they lost a customer forever. read more

This place has some of the best Chinese food I've ever had at the best prices. Portions are huge! You can get soup, crab rangoon, egg rolls, and a gigantic meal for two for $20 and there will be leftovers. The fried rice rocks my world. It's almost a healthy version. It's not greasy and it's so light, but so flavorful. The egg drop soup is what I wish my mom had made instead of chicken noodle. Use caution with some of the hot items, they are spicy. read more

This was our first time dining at Jasmine Pavilion and it was a wonderful experience. The interior was very nice, the staff was friendly and very attentive even though the restaurant had many patrons. The Crab Ragoon and Shrimp spring rolls were delicious. My wife and I both had the Jasmine sizzling double delight (chicken and Shrimp) and both highly recommend this dish. The restaurant owner, Lesley made it point to stop by and visit with us and make sure everything was ok. Prices were very reasonable. Service very slow. Small restaurant and we were about sixth into the kitchen. Too long of a wait. Four of us and all of the food came out at different times over about 15 mins after over 30 min wait for first entree. Gen Tsu chicken was soggy breading and too much liquid sauce. Chicken mixed. Mongolian Beef was ok - little too sweet was hoping for a bit more spice. Wait staff while trying were too responsive in some areas and not in others.
