Made the mistake of buying a highlights pkg on Groupon, they destroyed my hair via bleached WHITE highlights (my hair is brown) and almost 2 hours under the heat lamp. Maybe my favorite haircut ever, and I'm not a young guy. Maybe hair is one subject on which I'm not articulate and maybe I've never been able to articulate what I wanted, but Jasna intuited it, sculpting a cool cut out of the mop that had grown wild for months during the pandemic. Purchased a Groupon for a haircut, single process color and blow dry. When I showed up, the stylist told me that "single process color" only includes roots, not full hair - that I'd have to pay an additional up charge if I wanted single process color from root to tip. There was no fine print stating this in the Groupon and this was not expressed when I booked the appointment. They refused to honor the deal, so I left. Apparently, they work on different terms than every other salon I've ever been to. Root touch up is just that. Single process color is always root to tip. read more

They were unwelcoming and gave me hideous highlights which they refused to fix unless I paid an additional $70 plus tax and tip after I already paid $120. Do not go unless you want to look like a zebra going through a goth phase. The haircut was basically taking a scissor to the ends of my hair for two seconds and telling me it was "so much lighter" now. The only thing lighter is my wallet. A nice brunette woman cut my hair but she didn't texturize. I didn't realize it until I washed my hair because another woman dried it with curls. By that time, I was on my way out of the country. When I got back, I asked the woman to fix my hair with the thinning shears, no change to the length. Since it had been several weeks, I was willing to pay for the fix and asked how much it would cost. Unfortunately, the blonde woman, who I assume is the owner, wanted to charge me $80. I didn't think this was fair since they had made the mistake with a haircut that looks like shelfs of hair, not blended. I came in for a full foil and haircut and I am extremely unhappy with the results. This haircut is the worst that I have ever had in my life. I came in to the salon with beautiful long hair past my waste and I specifically told the woman that I wanted to keep it long and to take a maximum of 1-2 inches off. We also had a conversation following that about keeping the front of my hair longer as I often switch the side of my part. NONE OF THIS HAPPENED. She began cutting 5-6 inch pieces of my hair off and by the time I saw it was too late. My hair is now barely passing my shoulders. In addition, she cut the hair at the front even shorter (which was the opposite of what we had discussed) and I am unable to part my hair any way except for in the middle. Not only is my hair 6 inches shorter than expected, it is also choppy and the layers are horrible. I can't even wear it down because of the unevenness of the layers. I have been told by multiple people to go get this fixed ASAP because of how horrible it is. You will NEVER see me again anywhere near this salon. read more

Came in for a single process color and haircut. I was very nervous because this was the first time I'd tried somewhere new in over 10 years. My usual stylist moved out of state so I was in a panic. Jasna made me feel calm and assured me that she knew exactly what she was doing. She listened to exactly what I wanted and made sure to inform me of what she was doing every step of the way. I decided on a permanent color and it turned out beautifully. It did not smell medicinal and I absolutely love the vibrant color. Jasna also did a great job on the cut, which is what I was most worried about. It's exactly what I was looking for and the length is perfect. Awful from start to finish. I purchased a Groupon for Haircut, Blow-Dry, Style, and Single-Process Color, which wasn't cheap even without the discount. BE CAREFUL - they define Single-Process Color as a root touch up, despite this not being mentioned anywhere in the advert. Clear false advertising. I gave her clear instructions about the color and style. Both were ignored. The color was far too dark, and left on for too long. She got hair dye on my neck and forehead, which she didn't wipe off. I wiped it off myself, which stained my both face and hands. She started cutting my hair without checking where my parting was. The bangs were cut unevenly, as was the hair itself. My hair is fine and straight, so is very easy to cut. There was no style or thought into the cut, despite having shown her pictures. She was often cutting without even looking at my hair, but out of the window instead. There was no blow dry as advertised, and no style. The final result was terrible. They charged an extra $10 for tax, which I found very suspicious that it would be $10 exactly, as sales tax in NYC is 8.875%. This also wasn't mentioned on the listing. Bitterly disappointed, left in tears. Contacted Groupon afterwards, and both them and the salon showed no concern. I'm not one to normally leave reviews, but my experience was simply terrible. She asked me not to purchase Groupons and offered that she would match the Groupon prices the next time I came in. When I called for further appointments she refused to make good on her offer. Recently I repurchased Groupons for both Keratin and cut; I couldn't reach a person at the salon by phone and they never returned my calls. Only after I contacted Groupon did I receive a call; the owner said there were no appointments for either service and she would no extend my vouchers. Do NOT go to the young guy who works there, he doesn't listen to a thing you say and cannot communicate, doesn't really speak ENGLISH!!!!! I have honestly never had a haircut that I've been completely happy with and I absolutely loved the one I received from Yuliana. She listened to all of the random small things that I was looking for in my cut-- even though a lot of the pictures I brought in weren't appropriate for my hair texture-- and gave me a lot of advice on making my colicky hair and weird texture work! She took her time blow drying my hair perfectly, and was superbly precise in the texturizing, spending a lot of time to make sure it was perfectly even! I am so so happy-- she was even able to make my hair part look better, which I have never been able to get right, with a spontaneous suggestion for some longer side-swept bangs and switching up the part.
