I wanted to like this location so badly. This is my community, after all. After 3 separate negative experiences, I'm pretty confident that this location is just poorly staffed over all. I was double charge on one occasion, inaccurate order and food unmade for a pre-purchased order on a second occasion and cut off mid sentence multiple times while trying to pick up an order. I have 5 remaining on a gift card. I'll use it at a different location. This place won't get another chance to do me wrong again. read more

I love Jason's Deli. However, my first visit to this location is my last one. I used the drive thru. When the employee handed me my drink, that was way too full, it spills on me and the interior of my vehicle. Laughing instead of apologizing??? Grabbed Jason's for lunch on a Sunday afternoon, the food was good - consistent with other JD experiences, but our busboy was something special. He was friendly and attentive. Quickly got us extra butter and sour cream when we responded to his question of if he could get us anything & then checked on us again. Great service read more

Excellent customer service! The restaurant is nice, spacious and clean. I ordered 6 custom salads by phone and they didn't hesitate to take my order. I went into Jason's deli today and ordered my food and spent $40 on dinner for the family, I waited patiently for my food but when 10 minutes pass and I had not got my food I got a little bit frustrated, when asked the said I'm sorry they put you food on the wrong tray I a id okay I will give them a few minutes. I waited and then ask they say it on the way out, I asked the manager to change my chip to house chip which I asked for when order he catch a attitude, I said I want what I ordered. I get it, but when I arrived no one was in the restaurant nor the drive thru so why would it take 25 minutes to get 4 meals. I use to enjoy this restaurant but the management sucks, as a former restaurant owner I would never be satisfied with such poor quality coming from a product that was once stood for quality. read more

It's pretty bad when the reason you cancel an order is because of the Manager. I placed an online order and yes, I had a few requests. I called to ensure they received them and was met with an unfriendly and highly put off tone of voice. That being said, I work in a similar industry! This type of behavior is unacceptable to paying customers. Without customers, you have no business. No matter what an inconvenience I may have been to the actual location manager, John, he should've handled it different. Then when I called back to cancel my order, because after thinking about the conversation I just had I legitimately didn't trust my food to be safe, I was met with another unpleasant tone and unprofessional behavior. Panera and McAllisters are right in that same city block and guess what, not only do they have similar products, they're nice! It's beguiling to me how a person in leadership possess this type of behavior. I will never go to another Jason's Deli and they can thank "John" for that. read more

Service is horrible compared to other Jason's Deli stores. It's always dirty, they are always out of something or multiple items. I have not had one good experience here yet. I absolutely love the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich. (when they do it right) sometimes it doesn't come out right, but I'm sure that's due to the various people making the sandwiches. The service was not good at all and they were slow in producing the order. The cashiers do not greet you with a smile and they have bad dispositions. When I finally received my sandwich which was a Caprese Panini, it was served on a dirty plate, and not prepared correctly. They took it back and apologized but it took another 15 minutes of waiting and I had to walk back to the counter to get it myself and realized that it was sitting there waiting with no assistance to me. This is my first time coming to this new location but I will not come back. I will continue to go to the Arlington location instead. read more

Jason's deli is one of my favorite restaurants. The salad bar is always fresh and the employees are usually polite. At this location however, all bets are off on customer service. The young lady who took our order couldn't stop laughing and talking with her coworker long enough to get our order correct. Even though we repeated ourselves several times, it still came out wrong because she was too distracted to get it right. We had to go back to the counter to get it corrected. After this, we sat near the line where the employees put the food together and saw employees laughing, yelling, and cursing non stop. Our order had to be corrected 3 times and each time I took longer to be corrected even though there were several employees just standing around gossiping and laughing. I won't be returning to this location, not worth the headache. read more

I was craving Soup and Hummus so decided to treat my family of 5 to dinner. Purchased almost a $60 order and 3 things were wrong including not receiving my Hummus uggh. I'm never eating here again. Ordered a "spinach wrap"..... I immediately noticed It had all open ends (kinda hard to eat a wrap when all of its components are prone to falling OUT) and aside from the fact that i got more of it on my clothes than in my mouth (courtesy of fore mentioned asinine craftsmanship) it tasted like raw mushrooms. That's it. Virtually ZERO flavor other than that of fungus. I literally would rather still be hungry than live with the memory of having eaten it. If you decide to eat here, I'd advise against ordering this particular menu item, unless you have a vendetta against flavor and a proclivity for food that will ruin your clothing. read more

This Jason's deli is the worst location I've visited in the metroplex. If you're in Cedar Hill and want to eat relatively healthy, you are better off going to Sprouts and then cooking whatever you bought. The service is so bad that I can't really say how I really feel without violating yelps policies. The customer service is so bad that they need to fire everyone and start over from scratch. Your very presence is bothersome to them, um excuse me but I did not make you work at Jason's deli. Should have chosen another location and went with the reviews *face palm*. Newly pregnant woman & I was craving a salad. I haven't been to Jason's deli in years, forgot how the process went so when I told the young lady at front I was getting a to-go salad she just gave me a salad container & started complaining about something that was missing. I was unaware I needed a tray and it took me about 5 minutes of struggling to prepare my salad for an employee to bring me a tray. The cleaning lady came to wipe around area /check utensils but failed to put tongs in at least 3 areas so I missed out on getting certain ingredients. She was more concerned about fixing her own plate & lastly the salad looked like it had been picked over for hours. Just big translucent parts of the iceberg lettuce. This location really needs to do better. Now I'm home, with a salad I really don't even want anymore bc that experience. Never again. read more

I never wanted to be one of those "angry reviewers" but Jason's Deli just pushed me there. I normally dine in and the experience was always good, but tonight I decided to try the online ordering--bad decision. I placed and paid for my order at 6:40 pm. It was to be ready between 7:00 and 7:30 pm. I arrived early and decided to just pick the order up in the drive thru since the line wasn't terribly long--bad decision #2. The line seemed to move at first but then I became trapped for 45 minutes! I finally get to the window to pick up my order (which the lady said was ready at the order speaker), and they try to charge me for someone else's order. I clarify that I'm picking up an order and then they try to charge me again for an order I already paid for. After all if that back and forth, they say "just a minute" and disappear for over 10 minutes. Cars are continuing to pile up behind me. They finally bring my order and shove it out of the window without an apology and slam the window. It took another couple of minutes to get the girl's attention to ask a question. Of course when I get home I discover several items are missing. I call and they tell me I can come back to pick them up. I ask what time will they be ready and she says 15 minutes. I arrive 20 minutes later and nothing is ready. I have to tell them what I was missing twice. Again, unapologetic. I wasted exactly 2 hours and 20 minutes of my life for something that should have taken 20. Awful experience. read more

Skip the drive thru if you can, cuz the inside is huge and the salad bar is yummy. Treat yourself to the only deli in tri-city area that is opened in the evening and not full of hipsters hogging all the seating. It took us standing in line approximately 30-45 minutes. Reason was all the normal main registers for dine-in were closed. Only register open was phone/app/call in orders register, sign's stated and this is from memory "Register Closed - Due to social distancing and local restrictions". Funny thing most other fast food in Cedar Hill doesn't seem to have this type problem. The way you decided to do this actually caused people to pass really close so the Social Distancing issue is not working. Another issue is every time a call-in order came to pick up, we had to let them jump the line and wait for them. Yes, the line was almost out the door. We did get our food much faster than I was expecting, BUT both our sandwiches were only slightly warm and cold by the time we were finishing. My wife likes her food hot not Luke warm. Staffing looked pretty full from what I've seen in the past. This seemed to be a temporary heavy run-on customers so the smart thing would have been put someone on 2nd register for a short period of time. I've been to this store many times, but this is our last time. read more

Eh it's ok nothing to write home about. Heard rave verbal reviews so I had to try it. I wasn't forced to but thought I was missing out on something, no. Too confusing where the line starts, atmosphere too busy and noisy for me. Then the food is just ok, half sandwich Ruben sauerkraut was too thick, chewy meat falling apart and tasting almost not completely cooked. The salad was average. Total experience was surrounded by elderly people trying to figure out how to go to their table while 2 people were mopping. I was so distracted, I ate quickly. The aisles are narrow so it was hard to dodge or ignore. My one trip to the salad bar and half sandwich is pretty much close to Panera overpriced food but it is a little better to me in taste and their calming atmosphere. read more

Ok. So I waited til they got settled in to give it a try. I go in there for a to go order. Got a sandwich, a potatoe, and two desserts one was a cheesecake for my wife. Get home, and the sandwich was garbage, the potatoe was fine, but the piece of cheesecake for my wife, and even though she is tiny and does not eat much was the size of an orange slice Yes an orange slice!!! Needless to say I will not be going back anytime soon. The Arlington location has never let me down so that's where I will go. It's worth the drive. read more

I have been a customer of Jason's Deli for many years. They have always been reliable when I needed to have a meeting catered and whenever I have visited their restaurants, the food has been perfect. I frequently visit a different location for lunch and the service as well as the food is great. However, this Cedar Hill location is far less than perfect. The service has been awful both times I've been here. I'm so disappointed at the image this location is giving a great company. The girls at the front counter have ZERO customer service skills. I hope the corporate office gets a grip on things here really soon. read more

The customer service here leaves something to be desired. The ladies at the intercom were rude and snippy. The poor manager looks so overwhelmed and stressed. This place is losing its shiny newness very quickly. So don't go to the drive thru at 9:40 because if it takes 10 minutes to get to the intercom they will say they are closed. Let me start out by saying that Jason's Deli is literally one of my top 3 favorite places to eat! So when this location opened a little more than a year ago I was incredibly excited! I am sad to say I have been FREQUENTLY disappointed. Trying it within the first few weeks of being opened they were slow and the order came out wrong. I chalked it up to the newness of the staff. Months later, nothing has changed. Orders are often wrong (or cold when they should be hot). No apologies or even humility is demonstrated concerning the wrong orders. Calling it to their attention is almost always met with skepticism and an insistence that you ordered wrong because they don't make mistakes. I was most recently told by a server that there was no way it was prepared differently than I ordered it and that I must have forgotten the way I asked it to be prepared. I had a Smokey Jack Pannini. I asked for the guacamole to be cut. They didn't cut it. Not the end of the world, I politely asked it to be taken back and corrected. They bring back the same sandwich (now cold) with the guac scraped off. Upon inspection, pieces of the turkey still had traces of the guac spread on it that they hadn't seen. Meanwhile my child's meal STILL hadn't been brought though we'd asked about it 3 times. My son's chili was cold and had onions on top (which we had asked to be cut) they said they'd bring him more but they never did though we asked 2 times. Finally we gave up and I decided this was the only avenue of resolution. On top of all of this the place is CONSTANTLY dirty. The tea is constantly empty and the salad bar is often a mess! read more

If I could eat sugar cookies from this place as a nutritional supplement I would. I have tried the McAlister's cookie and it is no competition. Their chili is about the same. I tried the gumbo for the first time today. The gumbo has a nice size amount of shrimp considering I only ordered a cup. However, the gumbo is salty, if you have high blood pressure then, you may want to avoid this soup. Same thing for the sweet tea, or it could be me. I don't like to worry about diabetes when I have tea. It's better too sweet than not sweet enough. Calling in an order is awesome. Nice service through the drive through. I went inside and was a little disappointed to see flies inside but you can't control that. It's not pleasant to think of when you're making your salad since the food isn't covered. read more

The food took 20 minutes to make with no other customers in the building. The manager was very rude to us when we asked why it took so long. When we received our food, the plates that were supposed to be hot were cold. The employees there were nice and sincere. New management would be ideal. read more

I cater lunch to offices and facilities in the area frequently and tried this particular location once when I wasn't given much notice on a large catering order that would be required relatively quickly. After this lunch, this became my go to spot and my go to location for a fast, reliable, delicious catered lunch. I was so taken aback that they had come through with everything and even were at the beginning of the delivery window that they actually beat me to the location. The food has always been fresh and delicious; the staff (everyone involved in the transaction to include the delivery person, cashier, etc.) has always been pleasant and easy to work with, and the process has always been simple and user friendly. Once I even lost a receipt and the Jason's Deli online receipt retrieval promptly (within 24-48 hrs) had sent a copy to my email.
