I visited on a busy Sunday and was served rather efficiently. I thought the Dill Pickle Wrap was quite underwhelming. It was wrapped tight and there was a fair amount of chicken. But the sauce was rather unremarkable. It wasn't seasoned very well and nothing else stood apart. The Dill Pickle Pasta Salad was not seasoned well either. I've had memorable dill pasta salads, but this just didn't stand out. I was disappointed that there wasn't any dill chips or a novelty dill beverage for the dill meal. The overall atmosphere was fine, things were clean and spills were addressed immediately. I've been to this location before several years ago and I've been to others in the interim. Wow. Ol' JD is getting bashed lately on here. Seems there are some specific gripes about quality and value. Not sure why... My favorite things here are The Beefeater, The New Yorker, the Chili, and the baked potatoes. Their chili doesn't have been since they are from Texas. It's still good though. Some of their other soups are good too, but it's been a minute since I had them. They do have free ice milk type stuff to raise your blood sugar real good. You can even get a swirl of chocolate and vanilla. I don't do raw veggies, especially, the sneezed on kind, so I don't partake in the salad bar anywhere. I do however lift up crackers, cornbread, snacks, sauces, and other condiments from it. Can't catch me!! I also will cater in Jason's for work on occasion. It's typically a crowd pleaser and they are good at the catering game. I do think some of the reviews are quite funny. Any time someone mentions money in a review I immediately dismiss their opinion. Buyers remorse is no reason to give a bad review. If you don't like your food, take it back to the damn counter, don't be a keyboard crusader. If it's really that bad, say something to the humans that work there folks. For me, Jason's is pretty dang good for what it is. It is pre packed deli lunch meat sandwiches, served on formally frozen bread, with sides made in a factory downtownfrozen pastries and all other baked goods. It is not supposed to be really good earth shattering experience. It's a freaking deli! It's just a meal! Eat at home yo... It's nicer in here than it was when it was down the strip center where Pyros is now. I will say there were a lot of lights out in the dining room. Visited my moms and grandma's graves and carried out the tradition of a Jason's lunch afterwards. Yes they still got the free self serve ice cream which is a big plus for us ice cream lovers. Am I just trippin or didn't they used to make their own chips? It's just ruffles now if you ask for their home baked chips. Got my mom's favorite, a muffuletta, or as she used to call it in her Chinglish, a margarita. Yes mom, a little too early in the day for one of those. But here's to ya. read more

After the 4th time getting food from Jason's, we've had mostly positive experiences and it's on our family favorites list. This is a restaurant that has a unique selection of soups, salads and sandwiches...also with gluten free bread options. As the photo shows, they do NOT skimp on the meat, so you get what you pay for. Their baked potato's are so big, I wonder what farm they are harvested from...fabulous taste. And their salads are best if you build it yourself in the restaurant. Otherwise, you may be disappointed with 2 small tomatoes and other minor veggies. But again, adding a protein choice, you're given a plentiful amount. When eating in, I highly recommend the free ice cream after your meal. A great option for a filling, fulfilling meal! read more

We've been to the Jason's deli in southaven and this one is just as good quality. My husband and I both had the salad bar. It had fresh ingredients and a good variety of items. I am still disappointed that the salad bar is not unlimited. At the very least, they need to offer bowls to put extra items on. Why would I want to put chocolate pudding next to a salad and potato salad? Either way, maybe that ice creaming still being free makes up for it. Ha! read more

7/12/26 6:15pm. We came in to eat and there was a young man on the register, very kind; however the manager had him bagging up to go orders while there were several customers waiting to order. We arrived at 5:50pm and didn't place our order until 6:03. Again the young man on the register was working hard, he was taking our order and mid order the manager barked at him to bag up the to go orders. I told the manager he was busy taking our order. It confused the young man and he had to start over. Very unprofessional of the manager. For a recent team workshop, we ordered the Deluxe Sandwich Tray and the Assorted Dessert Tray (chocolate chip cookie, cranberry walnut oatmeal cookie, and fudge nut brownies). While I can't speak to all of the items, here's what I tried: - Chicken Salad Sandwich w/ Pineapple & Almonds: WOW! I hate to admit it, but this is one of the better chicken salad sandwiches I have ever had because of the pineapple and walnuts. I wouldn't have expected those flavors to go so well as they did (most places use apples and walnuts). - Chocolate Chip Cookie: Very soft and tasty! These had just the right amount of chocolate chips and had a chewy texture to them. I really loved this cookie! - Cranberry Walnut Oatmeal Cookie: The cookies seemed to vary with how many cranberries they had in them. I selected one with a bunch of cranberries which seemed to add an additional layer of sweetness. Very good. - Fudge Nut Brownies: I'm not a huge brownie fan but decided to try these as they had the nuts. Overall, a pretty good brownie! I place an on-line order for the Ridgeway road Jason's in Memphis. God help anyone who tries to get their website to work. I ordered pasta for me and a BLT for my wife. My order was fine, but when i got home with it, we found out her BLT had spinach instead of lettuce, along with onions and mushrooms (the same ingredients as my pasta). I checked the receipt and made sure I put the order in right. They did put exactly one whole slice of bacon on it. I guess that's one ingredient they got half right. This place is good to get a sandwich and soup. I really like their Manager Special where you get a 1/2 sandwich and side (pick salad, chips, pasta salad, cup of soup). Their Reuben, muffuletta, beef eater, Jenny O Turkey sandwiches are good. Their seafood gumbo is excellent! I love their self serve ice cream but you got to get it before 8pm because they start to empty and clean the ice cream machine thoroughly when we were there a few times late for dinner. Went to Jason's today around 12:30.After waiting inline got ordered at 12:36. We saw food coming out but the servers walked around searching for the correct tables like they couldn't figure it out. After 35 minutes my wife went to check on our order but was told "we are bring everyone their food". Finally after 45 minutes we saw the group ahead of us get some of their food. The others in their group got food 5 minutes later. We saw the whole place lose their patience and complaining to the staff. One lady pitched a fit and they gave them their food. We love coming here! Fresh food that comes out fast. The ranchero wrap and the salad bar are always perfection! We also love the big seating area. It's great for groups and kids. What a difference depending on what you order! The Rueben was piled high as advertised and delicious. The turkey wrap was just a rolled up tortilla with one slice of turkey, one slice of tomato and loads of salad greens. If you want nothing for a $10 sandwich, get a turkey wrap. read more

I picked up supper for us tonight. Jaaon's Deli has really good soups. I ordered a tomato basil and lobster chowder. These two soups were delicious! I always order their salmon sandwich with Chipotle ailoi. This sandwich never disappoints! The salmon and bread are always fresh, and the salmon is so tender! When you first walk in, it looks like you're walking into the kitchen, then they had a half sized menu above the registers, and I didn't see the full menu until I sat down. The food was really good though, I did ask for potato salad and they brought me chips, when I looked at the receipt later, I saw they charged me an extra $2.55 for the potato salad upgrade, but I had already eaten my food. Had roast beef and Swiss on croissant for lunch today. It was absolutely divine. They have a seasonal soup.....Maine Lobster Chowder. I was a little skeptical given it was lobster coming from a deli. I have been enjoying lunch at this location for many many years. The employees are always friendly and go out of their way to make sure I have everything I need and that I enjoy my lunch at Jason's. A few weeks ago the manager, Chris noticed that I was dipping my Ruffles chips in my Broccoli Cheese soup and suggested that I might enjoy a 'split bowl' of broccoli cheese and chili. I love this place!!!! I have been to this location twice and both times I was met with stellar customer service. Everyone was really friendly and very helpful. It is a pretty easy going set up. You order your meal and they bring it to you, kind of like Panera Bread. However, they have a salad bar which looks pretty good and I plan to try in the future. Also, they have an area specifically designed for take out orders. I also love that they have so many different items on their menu that I want to try. You have such variety at this place, its really great! So far I have tried the Santa Fe Chicken Sandwich ( Grilled chicken breast, bacon, Swiss, guacamole, tomato, Thousand Island dressing I opted to not have the dressing and got mayo, grilled on multigrain wheat) and the Chicken Panini(Grilled chicken breast, provolone, fresh basil pesto, Roma tomatoes, organic spinach, pressed on French bread). Both orders came with a side of ruffled chips and to me tasted great. To make it even better, they even have a soft serve ice cream machine which is free to all customers. Wow! I LOVE the new Jason's! The inside of this Deli is gorgeous. The take out and eat in ordering areas are efficient. The salad bar is clean and fresh. The visible kitchen is clean. The case with desserts and healthy sides was clean and the food looked fresh. The menu is a bit daunting, but I love lots of choices so I ain't scared. The California Club was loaded with fresh greens and ripe avocado. I'm not usually a soup person, but their chicken pot pie soup with the puff pastry on top is a favorite of mine. The fruit is always ripe and comes with a tasty sweet sour cream dip. The free soft serve is a really awesome bonus! Especially when you have a 2 year old :) read more

Tip: Best salad bar in town! Great table service and quick lunch. In addition to the great salad bar, this always-packed spot gains major points from me for serving free-range chicken. It is always hard to find resturants that offer this in Memphis, but J-del wins an extra star for providing this option. Imagine my surprise when the new computerized register totaled over $27.00 for my meal for one. We examined my order, and it figured a little over $21.00 for a quarter muffuletta sandwich with a cup (bumped up to bowl), and one beverage. Even with chips and ice cream cone (no pickle), I felt the meal was way overpriced. I told the manager that I hated saying it, but this was my last meal at Jason's Deli. P.S. I visited a different Jason's Deli a few years ago and I remember having a good sandwich. Went yesterday with 7 adults and 3 little ones. Checked out the salad bar and it looked awesome; they have someone keeping it clean and stocked at all times. The ingredients were all really fresh - 3 of our 7 adults got the salad bar and piled up lovely meals. I had the vegetarian tomato soup - it was delicious. 2 others had BLTs - they both really liked their sandwiches and 1 had a croissant sandwich (which he devoured). The little ones had mac and cheese (which looked really good) and bow tie pasta with meatballs.
