Visited my moms and grandma's graves and carried out the tradition of a Jason's lunch afterwards. Yes they still got the free self serve ice cream which is a big plus for us ice cream lovers. Am I just trippin or didn't they used to make their own chips? It's just ruffles now if you ask for their home baked chips. Got my mom's favorite, a muffuletta, or as she used to call it in her Chinglish, a margarita. Yes mom, a little too early in the day for one of those. But here's to ya.

After the 4th time getting food from Jason's, we've had mostly positive experiences and it's on our family favorites list. This is a restaurant that has a unique selection of soups, salads and sandwiches...also with gluten free bread options. As the photo shows, they do NOT skimp on the meat, so you get what you pay for. Their baked potato's are so big, I wonder what farm they are harvested from...fabulous taste. And their salads are best if you build it yourself in the restaurant. Otherwise, you may be disappointed with 2 small tomatoes and other minor veggies. But again, adding a protein choice, you're given a plentiful amount. When eating in, I highly recommend the free ice cream after your meal. A great option for a filling, fulfilling meal!

For a recent team workshop, we ordered the Deluxe Sandwich Tray and the Assorted Dessert Tray (chocolate chip cookie, cranberry walnut oatmeal cookie, and fudge nut brownies). While I can't speak to all of the items, here's what I tried: - Chicken Salad Sandwich w/ Pineapple & Almonds: WOW! I hate to admit it, but this is one of the better chicken salad sandwiches I have ever had because of the pineapple and walnuts. I wouldn't have expected those flavors to go so well as they did (most places use apples and walnuts). - Chocolate Chip Cookie: Very soft and tasty! These had just the right amount of chocolate chips and had a chewy texture to them. I really loved this cookie! - Cranberry Walnut Oatmeal Cookie: The cookies seemed to vary with how many cranberries they had in them. I selected one with a bunch of cranberries which seemed to add an additional layer of sweetness. Very good. - Fudge Nut Brownies: I'm not a huge brownie fan but decided to try these as they had the nuts. Overall, a pretty good brownie! Of course, the chips and pickles this came with were good as well! I would definitely order Jason's Deli again for a work event.

Dead in here on Saturday evening. Spent 45.00 for 2 ppl. We got 2 dried out old baked potatoes, club sandwich and chili for that price. The sandwich was the only thing really edible. Chili was so spicy I could only eat a 1/3 of it. All while looking at this sign on the table.

Eating here is so nice ! The fresh salad bar , sandwiches and soups sometimes it's so hard to decide ! They also have baked potatoes and one of the best catering menus ! They also handle last minute orders for catering as well . It's very easy to eat here if you are on a special diet

Overpriced for salad bar. Especially a salad bar with no meat. And a salad bar that only allows 1 trip.

I got another dry, under-cooked baked potato. I won't order from them again. This is the 3rd potato that was pitiful.

My sandwich was very good! $10 is pretty fair for what I got. I loved the sauce, the meat was also really good. The tater salad was AMAZING! I'd get a large of it everytime I eat there if this was a local place for me. The meal was a solid 9/10 If you're in Memphis and you want some good BBQ made with heart and soul, then you should try Elwood's. The only thing missing from my meal that would've completed it for me was some hot buttery cornbread. I'll certainly be back to try their ribs and other foods!

I took the advice, and I'm really glad I did. It was fantastic--stacked with pulled pork, smoked sausage, and beef brisket, all topped with slaw and BBQ sauce on a bun. I also tried a bite of the barbecue bologna, which is a thick-cut slice served on white bread, and that didn't disappoint either. Inside gets pretty smoky, so you'll probably prefer sitting outside. Luckily, there are plenty of picnic tables and seating areas to choose from. I didn't catch the name of the guy who helped me, but he was friendly, energetic, and made the whole experience even better. Overall, a really enjoyable visit.

The young ladies were very busy but still checked on us as much as possible. We received water promptly and my friend ordered a sampler plate of hummus, Baba Ganoush and spinach dip. The trio was served with pita and chips. The pita was okay. It was a little tough. I ordered the Santorini Gyro. It had Gyro meat, lettuce, tomatoes, purple onions, cucumbers, feta cheese and Café Med herbal vinaigrette dressing. It was huge and was delicious. It needed a little bit more vinaigrette for me. I took a lot of it home to enjoy. Our sampler trio was quite tasty. The restaurant is decorated with Mediterranean decor. It is quite quaint and very cozy. A tad warm inside but still comfortable. We were waiting for the server to bring our checks as we did not know we were to pay at the register in the rear. The place was very busy as many patrons stopped for lunch or take-out orders. I will return for sure.

I could tell that he had established relationships with some of his customers and that is always nice to see. It is great when a business can truly be connected to their community. It was raining one day and he was courteous enough to help me take my food to my car and even opened my door for me. He is such a kind person. He has gained a customer for sure in me. I also want to say that their side salad is really good. I used to try the pasta as the side but it would always be so dry and flavorless. Now that I have had their salad, with such great improvement, I'm curious if the pasta has received a makeover as well. I also order a salad that had the Greek salad. It has feta cheese in it, olives, onion, tomato with a side of Balsamic vinaigrette and an Herbal vinaigrette dressing. I fully enjoyed the salad and that is saying a lot, because I don't typically do salads at restaurants just because I feel like I make better at home.

One bite in and I forgot my name, my responsibilities, and honestly what life was like before this moment. Crispy, juicy, perfectly stacked perfection... I'm pretty sure I ascended for a second there. The flavors? Illegal levels of good. The kind of good that makes you pause mid-bite, stare into the distance, and rethink every taco you've ever had before this. And yes... I'm not ashamed to say it--I had a full-blown foodgasm. No regrets. Would do it again. Immediately. 10/10. If you haven't been to Las Tortugas Deli Mexicana yet, what are you even doing with your life?

Odd place. The owner seems to consider himself an ambassador of authentic Mexican food and that…read moretheir food is somehow special and unique. He's very nice, but the food is only average and certainly not unique unless you've never had authentic Mexican food. We are from out of town and I'm guessing that maybe this place might be the only restaurant serving such cuisine in the area. I did, however, see a taco truck downtown that looked pretty damn authentic. The prices here are ridiculous. I have been to restaurants all over the country serving the exact same food and rarely pay more than $3 per taco or $12 for a torta. By the way, what they call a "Tortuga" it's not a signature creation. It's just a torta, a staple of authentic Mexican food. My friend and I both got taco plates, which were each around $25. That's outrageous. That would even be outrageous for a place that has table service which this place does not. I would not come back here. If I am in Memphis again and craving Mexican food, I'm definitely going to try the trucks. PS Guy Fieri signing off on a restaurant is something that I consider more of a red flag than a sign of excellence.
