It certainly seemed like I was bothering them when I stopped in for a quick breakfast sandwich around 9 am....they were setting up for huge catering jobs and I had to walk to the register to see if I could grab a bagel sandwich...... Jason's Deli in Memphis TN provided good food but 1/3 of the staff was NOT wearing masks. The woman who served us our beverages did not have a mask on and when I asked her to put on one just smiled. The manager did not have a mask on until she noticed I was looking at her. read more

Called in at 1 PM to order a grilled cheese and tortilla soup. Got there at 1:20 waiting for five minutes for somebody to come help me, then said they were working on it. At 1:30 I went back up to the counter and they said they're working on it got my food at 1:45. Grilled cheese was cold! You can make Grilled cheese in five minutes and the soup is already made. Ridiculous! And talk to three different people and didn't seem to be upset about anything. Horrible service! read more

We don't visit Jason's often, but I don't usually mind going there. This visit was less than great. I ordered a baked potato and the spouse got the salad bar. He went and checked on my potato after 10 minutes. 10 minutes later an employee delivering a sandwich to someone asked if it was ours and I told him I wanted to just get a refund. He returned 7-8 minutes later with my potato in a bag because he knew we were ready to go. He apologized and gave me a gift card. It was a nice gesture, but I'm thinking they weren't baking my potato for those 30 minutes. read more

I don't often give 5 stars but this is well deserved. Based on cleanliness, food taste and value Jason gets 5 stars...not many places can make it on all three points. This was my first visit. I ordered the Rachel, my wife got the Cowboy and neither of us could finish more than 1/2 of our delicious sandwiches. Next visit we'll get the 1/2 sandwich w/salad bar. I've been to Newks and while their sandwiches are good, the don't have the salad bar or free ice cream. When I feel like chowing down, Jason's is the place to goI I always get the salad bar (mostly organic btw) and always ask the attendant to put the chocolate chips on the chocolate mousse (she does every time and every time we give her a tip). I love all the crackers and such plus the nibbles that come with the salad bar. The selection of the salad bar itself is great and the price perfect (under $10). Super yum! Hubby always gets a sandwich with his salad bar and this time, he got the corn beef - and it was piled high! The yummy free ice cream is a special bonus afterwards! Plus I love how this Jason's plays contemporary Christian music while you dine. The perfect setting for the perfect meal. I've never had a bad experience at Jason's. The counter staff is always friendly and courteous. Your order is prepared quickly. And the food is always quite good. The salad bar is probably the biggest and best in the city. There is usually someone cleaning it during busy times so it's usually a pretty tidy salad bar. Be sure not to skip the little corn muffins on the bar. They complement a salad oh so well. Their sandwiches are fresh and prepared nicely. Maybe not the highest quality meats and such but no complaints from me. I love the Reuben and the tuna melt. I have had a few of their soups but have yet to find anything there that excites me. The only negative (but it's a biggie) is that if you go there for lunch on a weekday, get there early because it's going to be packed. It's a big restaurant that holds a lot of people so it gets very loud and very busy. read more

Not a real deli. Food and service can be hit or miss and orders often do not arrive at the same time. Salad bar is not as good as it used to be and very pricey. If you are in a hurry or really hunger and it is not lunch time, it works. read more

Nice place to get a good sandwich that will fill you up and even enough to bring part of it home. Good soups and big salad bar. Salad bar sometimes looks a little grotesque 'coz they don't clean it regularly when it's crowded so I avoid it when it's super busy. If it doesn't bother you, you'd love the salad bar :) The place can get a little messy and floors dirty so i try to go before the crowd gets here or a little after peak hours... I'm not sure if this was my first time there or not, but I was visiting family and they took me there for lunch. There was a lot of parking and a lot of tables. I went during the busy time of the day when there were a lot of people but they were still tables and turnover was fast. So a major plus in my book. The service is good. There are menus in the front so you can pick what you want, I was a little overwhelmed by the choices. I ended up going with the set: a sandwich and the broccoli cheese soup combo . The wait for the food is fast. Someone I went with did not like the chicken pot pie soup so traded it for the chili. There is also free soft serve. 4 stars. Called to inquire about the salmon pacifica salad and instead of the field greens and all of the vegetables that it comes on, I wanted that to be on a caesar salad. They said it would be "1.99 'upcharge'"...really? What's the upcharge for, it's not an upgrade. It's already 9.99. Oh, Jason's Deli, how I love thee. When we moved to Memphis, I was looking for a great place to get healthy, filling food that didn't break the bank. Jason's is that place. The salad bar is always fresh and amazing with a variety of toppings available. A vegetarian and veggie-lover's dream. The sandwiches are made with high-quality breads, meats, cheeses, and sauces. My favorite for a while was a turkey BLT on marble rye with tomato basil soup for dipping. Whoa mama. Make a bee-line for the free soft-serve ice cream (chocolate and vanilla). I'm very disappointed today. For the last two month's I have been getting my lunch at the Cordova, tn. location. I am very big on plastic conservation and I don't like to use it if it can be avoided. I have been ordering the salad bar to-go and getting them to substitute the very large plastic containers with the smaller paper rectangular ones instead. Yes, I was paying the same price and squeezing what I could into the smaller container and walking away EVERY time with less food than I actually paid for. This was fine with me since I knew I wasn't damaging the environment with every meal I ate there. However, today the manager came up to me while I was fixing my miniature salad and informed me that they did not allow this and that I could no longer request the SMALLER paper container and that if I wanted a salad to go then I must accept the large wasteful plastic container instead. I informed them that if this was the case, then they would never see me there again. She said that's just how it is... I would've thought that a store that is as health conscious as Jason's deli is would be VERY aware that the bulk of the health conscious individuals are ALSO very aware of environmental friendliness and that we go the extra mile to avoid places that do not do their part to stop the global pollution that is destroying our planet. I hope that some day in the near future, that Jason's deli takes the step towards environmental conservation that the other leaders of the health food industry have taken. I went to Jason's Deli for the first time on a Tuesday, I returned the following Wednesday and Friday. Yup. To me the stand out is the salad bar. I was more excited than a person should be about the fact that they had whole hard boiled eggs on their salad bar lol. The sandwiches I will pass on, they put TOO much meat on the sandwiches (yes, I just said that). The soups are pretty good though. The office ordered lunch on Friday. When we ordered we were told the order could not be delivered until 2 pm. At that time we elected to pick the order up. Before we got to the restaurant, the order was being delivered. That was the first error on their part. Second was the order was not correct and the Nutty salad was not delivered. Third, when we did get the salad (about 30 minutes later) it was not good. So, all in all we don't think we will place an order with this restaurant again. read more

I normally go to Jason's for a soup lunch with free ice cream, thought I'd eat a real lunch.. I got half a pastrami and a seafood gumbo cup. The quantity of pastrami was amazing - but the flavor was not there. Very disappointing. As for the seafood gumbo, the shrimp were utterly limp - used shrimp?! This hurt because I had just had great shrimp at Fuel on Madison, and great Reuben at Young Ave Deli, so I know good ingredients are available. Chips were fine, ice cream was fine. read more
