Attempted to get a quote twice now, maybe it's not meant to be. I've been shopping for a water softener home installation and when I read the great reviews I felt confident asking for the free water test/quote along with a list of questions I had from reading their website. However, I never received an email or a phone call. I waited about a week and a half and nothing. So I went to their website again today but this time I mentioned I tried to get a quote last week along with if they have been trying to call me since my previous inquiry I receive a lot of spam calls so if I don't receive a voicemail I don't call back. A few moments later I get a text message from Rene saying he's with Jason's water systems and was reaching out about my inquiry. After I replied with thank you I really appreciate it, I got nothing back. I expected a response with a possible appt date to come provide a quote and a water test but nothing and it's been hours. Great experience during the in-home visit--they were professional, knowledgeable, and made the process of purchasing the water softener easy. Installation and overall use of the system was hassle-free, which I really appreciate. That said, there were a couple of things that didn't match what was originally discussed. I was initially told a reverse osmosis system would be included, but I was later convinced I didn't need it, and they never came out to install it. Looking back, it would have been nice to have that option honored. I was also told service would be free every 5-7 years, but when I needed service, I ended up having to pay for the visit. Overall, despite those issues, I would still recommend them for people that do not want to deal with it, because the system itself works well and the overall experience was smooth. In hindsight, I probably would have installed a system myself. It's actually much simpler than I initially thought, and there are comparable systems available online for significantly less. For example, back in 2015 I paid around $4,300, while similar systems can be found for closer to $1,200 - $1,600. If you're comfortable with basic DIY projects, it could save you a few thousand dollars. read more

We are in the market for a new water system. So we called Jason's to get a quote unfortunately the technician that was sent out quoted us the wrong price information around $1500 wrong. But here's where it gets tricky the quote was given after he had already installed the system. I feel like Jason's tried to rip us off with pricing. The technician was friendly but he was also severely uninformed. The customer shouldn't have to pay for the mistake of an employee. When I called the office the lady who took my payment said that the technician didn't know the prices ?!?! Seems odd. Contacted them to come out to perform a cleaning on the water softener. They came out, didn't clean it, said it doesn't work, then said we have to buy one of theirs for $5200 when then one we have was only $995. Then they still charged the cost that we were supposed to pay for the maintenance. The unit is still under warranty, but he did not ask about that and immediately jumped to we needed to purchase another one. He also assumed that the builder purchased it online, which was not true since we purchased it through a company here in New Braunfels. He told us not to contact the company to purchase a new unit as they might charge us more and that we should contact him directly. Contacted the company and was offered a 50% refund, but he did not clean anything which was the whole point of the appointment in the first place. Regardless of if it "doesn't work", they had no problem collecting all of the money for the service yet it seemed as if there was a rush to sell a new system and leave instead of completing all tasks. So now we are out money and still have a dirty system and when we contact another company to come repair it, we will have to pay for cleaning again since this wasn't cleaned. Jan 2019 it's been a while since I updated. Looks like we are still facing part soft water issues. And it's using. Bout 100 pounds of salt every month or so. It was serviced about 4 months ago, but now we are getting gray water now. Still not happy still my problems are unresolved. Unfortunately my rating remains the same. Also I noticed the photos that I originally put showing that I had hard water have been deleted. I did purchase a system. I know it's been a long time since I wrote the original review but thought that I should let everyone know that they never showed up. I ended up hiring a plumber to install it for me. Now, my system is about 10 years old and breaking down. I did a lot of research and I'm going with a Fleck SXT500 from APlus Water. Depending on the size, they're only about $600.00 for the compete system and they're American made. APlus Water LLC has amazing reviews, how-to videos, and transparent pricing. read more

Overpriced garbage!!! Terrible customer service!! They're selling point are some irrelevant awards they won because they were the only water softener company to show up to an event. They'll also claim there systems handle high water pressure....BS...my valve broke three times over a six month period, I went with another brand at half the price, per my neighbors referral. I have had Jason's service our water system and recently they came to do regular service and found filtration tank needed to be replaced. The service tech did not do the servicing but I was charged for it anyway (even though I contacted there office and let them know no service was performed.) While the service tech was there he offered to replace the filtration tank for special price of $4850. We declined and my subsequent research showed competitive tanks were only $1000. I will not continue to use Jason's and have requested refund of $175 service charge for work not performed. Bruce. read more

Hhhmmm...I have to say that the nice young man that came to repair my system 3.5 months after I first called was very sweet, and was the grandson of the "Jason" (Emily's dad) that started this company. He truly seemed to care. There's a saying about second generation destruction and third generation revival...must say I've seen it in action w these folks. Emily is interested in taking your $. I did a ton of research on water softeners for our brand new home. Most don't meet the requirements needed for a 3 bath house. The ones that say they do require quite a bit of maintenance. If you weigh the cost of the units times service calls you'll see that other companies are far under par and cost more money in the long run. My salesman Ben was absolutely awesome and could tell I had already done my research. I'm super happy with the system I purchased and well worth the money. My installer Eric was amazing as well and really knew what he was talking about. Side note Culligan systems don't even compare to this quality system. Life time warranty as well! My profile says Florida but live in Texas full time. My home (Texas) had a softener that was 11 years old. I had never serviced it since buying the house 6 years ago. I noticed a few problems so called the number on the softener. It was a company that had closed but Jason's took over their customers. They were very nice and came out the next day. This company truly just brought over the best system in America over to my house. The installers were so professional and went way above and beyond. One of their sales guys came over to assess our house, how many bedrooms/baths we had, and then wrote down a price (that he pulled from his head) for their two products that he recommended. He didn't come in with a price sheet, he just literally wrote some numbers down on a piece of paper, and then did some "math" to calculate a discount for us, which he was super vague about. I was looking for a water system and a few of my neighbors recommended Jason's. Emily came and gave us an education about the plumbing codes and the different types of water softener systems. She helped us make an informed decision, gave us a great price, and we got an amazing system installed the same week! We got the 5000 series and it softens the water and has a carbon filter to clean and purify the water as well. There's a lifetime warranty and the system flow through rate is over the recommended 23 gallons per minute for a 4 bathroom home so we haven't seen any difference in our water pressure, just great tasting softer water. I've been having problems with dry skin and today after the shower I noticed an immediate difference!! I concur with the other reviewers with customer service problems. We bought our Jason's water softener five years ago and it has worked fine until recently when we noticed our water did not feel soft as it used to. We called four times over two days before finally getting the service manager to return our call, only to be told it would cost $149 just to send someone out to look at the system. When we mentioned this seemed expensive for a water softener service call the service manager became somewhat indignant and told us he would text us Jason's direct number, which of course he never did. We bought this system with the expectation would live up to the sales pitch we got from Jason when we first made our purchase. The service has been disappointing so far. read more

Jason's installed a water softener in our new house when it was built 3 years ago . Every time we lose power the water softener stopped working. We were told they knew the system had a flaw in it. We were unable to rest the system. They have one technician that was able to rest it. We were told they would have to start charging us $75 to reset it.
