I was kind of nervous about coming here after reading some of the reviews but decided to give it a shot as I liked the idea of sitting on their rooftop patio. I'm so glad I did because I really enjoyed my meal. The patio itself is quite large and very well heated. It was a cooler fall evening but I was able to take my jacket off and still felt comfortable. In terms of social distancing, they should probably drop a table or two. While I didn't feel super uncomfortable given that we were technically outdoors, the seats definitely weren't all 6ft apart. Other than that, they are taking all of the necessary precautions. You need to give contact information for contact tracing before you're seating, hand sanitizer is everywhere, and the bathrooms restrict the number who can enter at once. I started things off with the Rosé Lemonade which was on special and shared an order of the Furikake Fries. These were delicious! As much as I enjoyed the pizza, the fries are a must-try. Speaking of pizza, we shared the Beyond Fryatt (beyond meat sausage with mushrooms and peppers) and the vegan Game Changer (coconut bechamel, kale, tomatoes and garlic). Both were great but the Game Changer was super unique. Definitely worth trying even if you aren't vegan. Service throughout the evening was great. Our server regularly checked in and made sure our drinks were always full. Overall, I was very happy with our meal and would visit again next time I'm in Jasper. read more

Great pizza cooked in a proper oven. I was looking for place to eat for dinner. Just walking up and down the street, not knowing what I wanted to eat. The yummy smell came from this restaurant and suddenly I had to eat pizza. Sure enough, my sense of smell is always correct. I ordered pizza from oven cooked pizza section (only 10 inch available). Pizza taste better when cooked wood fired oven. Service was okay. They were really busy and already out of wine I wanted. The waiter was really busy, looks like he had too many tables to take care of. More customers kept coming and one time they even had a line outside waiting for a table. Have I known they had a roof top patio, I would have requested for a patio. It doesn't get dark until almost 9pm, why not enjoy nice summer weather. This is my family's go-to place for a bite in Jasper so naturally when we were driving through from Kelowna, we had to stop. I was surprised to see how much the place changed. Before it was super casual and more for a chill bar food hangout but they've done a lot of renovations and branding for a cohesive and sleek look. We were seated quickly and our Aussie server was SO attentive. He kept calling us mate and joking with us. Our drinks were never empty and he cleared the table a couple times throughout to give us more space. I had the Bacon Mushroom Cheeseburger and it was so so good. Great taste and fresh toppings. I want another one just writing this review! My two friends had chicken fingers and the Calamari dinner - serving of the deep fried squid and a Greek salad. We left full and happy. A decent pizza place. First our calamari was tiny, tasty but tiny. The pizzas were both great, the variety is amazing. I had the Baton Rogue but would have loved to try a few others! The Greek meal, is also pretty damn small. I would not share a pizza with more than two people though. The wine list is good and decent price. Our service while friendly wasn't amazing. Took awhile to flag the waitress down for a second glass of wine. So I guess I am saying while it was good and if you have your heart set on pizza in Jasper you'll love this place. Very disappointed in our experience tonight. We were told 20-45 min wait. After an hour we went to check and were told 20 more mins. After 25 we went to check again and were told oh we don't know - your still number 2 on the list. I asked if I would have call in and made a reservation instead of going on the waiting list if it would have been quicker. The front staff said well yes. After waiting an hour and a half we were told no idea how much longer - options were to keep waiting, make a reservation for 8 or do take out which would take 35 mins. It was now 7 and we have two small kids who needed to eat and get to bed (we showed up at 5:30). We left with no plans for dinner and two upset kids. Finally got texted at 7:03 that a table was ready. I texted back we were figuring out other plans and that better training was probably needed for front staff. Got a text back sorry about our experience but wait times are hard to estimate and reservations take priority. A little shocked that was the response!! read more

This is a warm and cozy place to have a delicious thin crust wood burned pizza or thick crust. However, they also serve burgers, pasta, soup, sides and steak. I tried them out twice because the food options were excellent. The pizza was flavouful without being cheap and greasy. The staff are warm and friendly and remembered us the second time we arrived. The seating area is large and beautifully decorated with greens, browns, an open kitchen and industrial lighting. Everything was excellent; from entry, order, food to price and friendliness. They also make the pizzas without cheese and have many vegan options if you request that. It's great place to grab a bite, relax and enjoy good company. read more

Decently sized pizzas that aren't horribly priced and cooked in a wood fired oven(?). We sat outside on the rooftop patio in wonderful weather with views of the mountains, trains and street below. Great place to eat and people watch! Maybe it was because we'd worked up a good appetite hiking but the pizza was delish. We ordered the California but with red sauce inside instead of pesto. We got the pesto on the side. It was a small up-charge but worth it. The pesto was great. At $22.50 for the large size, it wasn't a horribly price and filled us up nicely. They also keep some local-ish (mostly from BC) beers on tap. The service was great for us - our server was super attentive and willing to work with us. All-in-all it was a chill, easygoing experience. Would go back again if ever I found myself in Jasper again some day. read more

Friday night (6pm) in Jasper in early July doesn't seem all that crowded to me, but the service was really lacking here tonight. We were seated fairly quickly and given menus, but then promptly forgotten. The restaurant was busy, but there were still tables inside and no one was sitting outside. We had already checked out the menu outside and knew what we wanted, so were ready to order shortly after being seated. The kids were drawing and I was holding my menu, but looking right at every employee that walked by us. Still after 8-10 minutes no one had ventured over to ask if we were ready. I got tired of waiting and waved someone over. At first the guy said he would go and grab our server, but then thought better of it and decided to just take our orders himself, kudos to him. Then we waited for over 35 minutes to get our food. Again, the place was busy, but not packed. They had a ton of staff in the kitchen, and they looked like they were doing things, but I could see the pizza oven and there was plenty of room to throw in some more pies. Pizza was good, we had the deep dish, 2x's 12 inch. No complaints about the taste, toppings, etc. Would be happy to eat it again. The kids corn dog was small, the fries were awful, and the price ($12) was horrendous for what they brought. We also had the chicken souvlaki. The chicken was nice and tender and had a good taste, but we only got one measly skewer, 2 small pieces of pita bread, and some salad for $20, what a rip off! At someone point In time, someone did ask us how the food was, so I can't completely fault their service, but I don't think anyone ever came to offer more water or ask if we wanted another beer. Bottom line, if you're looking for some decent pizza this place will do you ok, just call ahead and get it to go. read more

Well, we didn't have pizza... but our choices were DELICIOUS! I had the Cajun Cheddar Burger. Who knew that adding jalapenos and cajun seasoning to a burger could be so much better! The fries were just average... but I didn't care. My mom had the crispy dry ribs and they were also delicious. It wasn't super hard to get the meat off the bones and the seasoning was quite tasty. My burger was reasonably priced, but the ribs were WAY over priced since there were only 7 ribs in the bowl. Oh... and they charge $1.75 for a side of ranch dressing (even if you order wings!) and it's just a Hellman's pre-packaged product that tastes like plastic. The service was pretty awful too. The girl was nice enough but terribly inattentive. At one point a customer seated on the patio came inside to ask her to come out and refill their drinks. Before ordering, my mom asked if all the burgers came on sesame buns because she's not a fan. She said she would ask the kitchen, but when she finally came back to take our order, she had forgotten. So I asked her to please find out. She went to the kitchen and came back and advised that they only had sesame buns. Based on that information, my mom didn't order a burger, but instead got the appetizer. When my burger came out... there were no sesame seeds in sight. I just had to laugh. No biggie, as her dry ribs were good... but like I said, quite over priced. I would absolutely go back... but would hope for a different server. read more

We ate here twice on our last trip to Jasper. It wasn't planned, but our planned venue for the second night asked us to "walk around the block, and if you don't find somewhere to eat, check back with us..." Fine. I'll spend my money where i'm wanted. Jasper Pizza has GLUTEN FREE. And LOTS OF IT! Pizza crust - it's really tasty. Pasta - YES! The first night we ordered the Cavel spicy pizza...mmmmm it's a tasty tasty one! Yes, I can customize my pizza, but I'm always curious what the "creators" come up with. Can't always expect a large variety of pasta in the gluten-free offerings of restaurants, and here was no exception. While it would be nice to have more than one type, they offer a penne style gluten-free pasta that seems to grab the sauce well. The noodles were cooked well, and they were able to substitute for the linguine in the Linguini Mediterraneo. Shrimp were cooked well, but I found the sauce to be a little overly salty, and I'm a salt-a-holic. It could have been the Parmesan. I did have leftovers to take home - it was a shareable sized portion! My other half ordered the Bison & Chipotle burger with cheddar, but somehow, the first night got the cheeseburger instead. While good, not quite what he ordered. On the second night, he ordered the Bison & Chipotle burger, and that is what he got. He liked it well enough as there wasn't a crumb left on his plate. I'll let him review the nuances of his meal. If you order a bottle of wine and don't finish, you can cap it and take it with you, no problem. Service is usually pretty warm, attentive and friendly, if not, I'm never shy to pop up to the bar and request what's needed... napkins, water etc. We've never been here in the summer months, usually in the off-season around Hallowe'en, and January/Feb to ski. October/November is off-season, they might be closed for their holidays. I will definitely visit here when I'm in Jasper next, or just order delivery to wherever i'm staying. read more

They have gluten free options such as pizza and pasta so my hubs is happy and you know what they say about happy hubs and happy life? or is that wife.... Anyway, their house white wine is great - because I like sweet wines. You can choose from regular crust or thin crust for your pizza (I went with regular) and you can build your own. Stopped here after a hike with my wife. We sat in the rooftop bar area. We ordered two of the 10" wood fired pizzas. The pizza was REALLY good! The crust was so good-- you don't want to leave the crust on the plate. Highly recommend the "pyramid" pizza-- chorizo, red onion, sour cream. My friends and I were driving through Jasper National Park when suppertime rolled around. We were pretty hungry but on a budget so we drove around looking for a place that looked affordable. After a lot of indecision, we ended up at Jasper Pizza Place. There were a decent number of people inside and the prices looked okay. They asked us if we'd like to sit on the upstairs patio or indoors in the main dining area. Feeling adventurous and being promised a great view, we decide to go to the patio. We sit down in the quickly dimming evening and look over the selection of wood-fire specialty pizzas and the normal thicker-crust kind. We decide on a pound of wings (sounds like a lot, but is only 8), one chicken/corn pizza and another veggie one (olives, bell peppers). While we wait, we notice a server (in a t-shirt about pizza in the style of Fall Out Boy concert tees) stacking up the chairs as if they are planning to close). We feel nervous and ask to be moved downstairs. They are very nice about it and help us relocate. The wings were on the smaller side, but not bad. The pizzas were decently-sized, but not impressive compared the Californian fare we were used to. Our total came out to be $52 for five people, which was more than expected, but probably less expensive than anything else we could have gotten in the area. The music was good though and the vibe young and energetic. This place is definitely not a bad find considering its location, but I'd probably have to try the other pizza place down the street if I was back in the area. Shrug. read more

I've been coming to Jasper for years now, and staying next door at the Astoria (that De'd Dog and its giant delicious wings and Habs games keeps luring me over), but haven't had the chance to check this place out until now. Glad I did because sometimes you just want some pizza. The restaurant is quite large and apparently they have another room downstairs that is good for hosting parties. It wasn't too busy when we showed up around 8pm on a recent Saturday night. Perhaps due to that, service was excellent. Lots of traditional thicker crust pizza choices, and some fancier thin crust ones too, though in reading other people's reviews it seems like traditional is the way to go. They have a wood burning oven so you get a real unique pizza, not like the cookie cutter fast food stuff. Their full menu is available online which is always nice. We started off with an arugula salad with berries, feta, and sunflower seeds. It was tasty and quite large (as well it should be for the price) but you can actually pay an extra $2 to make it even larger to split. We thought it was a good amount to split between two people as an appetizer. The only thing is that it was hard to scoop up the little sunflower seeds but they did add a nice crunch. We ordered two 10" pizzas to share - a Quebec-style all dressed, and by that I mean pepperoni, green peppers, and mushrooms; and a meat lovers. Both were decent - a good amount of toppings and cheese, reasonably evenly distributed. Green pepper diced small and not over cooked, mushrooms sliced thinly so they wrinkled up and weren't raw (a good thing imo). I'm not a huge fan of ground beef or big chunks of sausage (as I find it can be too strong) on pizza but both were present in little crumbles on the meat lover's so it was fine. I'm not a crust person and usually I prefer thin-crust, but I thought it was fine - not super thick, a bit chewy. Each pizza was cut into 6 slices and we had 3 slices leftover for breakfast. It was good cold but the crust dried out a bit. It is pricey, as many places are in Jasper, but I thought the pizza was done reasonably well so I would come back again. The ads in the washrooms at Marmot Basin tell me that they have specials on weekdays including a 2-for-1 pizza day... Not sure which day that was though, sorry! read more

There has to be better pizza than this in Jasper. In the mood for pizza, our guide book recommended this restaurant. The pizza was edible but not particularly tasty. We had a mushroom & prosciutto thin crust plus a meats thick crust. (They had special names but I don't remember them). The pizzas were on the pricey side. From the descriptions from the menu they had such potential but that was unfulfilled. The sauce was bland and the crusts had unusual textures. On the plus side my spouse liked the beer selection and the waitress was accomodating. I wanted to give this restaurant 2-1/2 stars but Yelp doesn't allow that. read more

Hadn't been to Jasper Pizza in over 10 years so I thought it was about time. We ordered pizza for pickup. My husband had the Mighty Duck pizza which he really enjoyed. He said it seemed very homemade, well balanced and unique. I had the meat lovers pizza (no ham, sub pineapple (don't judge me)). I really enjoyed the pizza sauce. The rest was pretty good but I wish there were more pineapples on it! We also had the cauliflower (Thai chilli) which were alright. We brought the food back to our hotel but they didn't give us any napkins or cutlery. We wish there were some as we did t have any. In the end, the food tasted good, just a couple of improvements! We were at Jasper Pizza tonight, Feb 11. We had a very disappointing experience. We'd been in before and it was fantastic and we were really looking forward to this evening. However we were very disappointed tonight. We ordered 4 pizzas, one being gluten free. The menu said the pizza would be 12" however the manager later confirmed it was 10". The price of the pizza was $27 + $5 because it was gluten free. It was the worst gluten free pizza I've ever seen, it was small and the crust was like cardboard and there was only cheese on two of the slices. However the worst part of the experience was the service. The server didn't get us water, she didn't come back to offer another meal after taking away the gluten free pizza, we heard her talking about us to other people and we had to get our own boxes from the kitchen as she never came back over. It was extremely awkward to be in this restaurant, the server was very rude, and we will not be going back. It's sad to see this type of server in such a friendly place like jasper. read more

However, the spaghetti and meatballs were an unusual tasting sauce and the 2 pizzas we got were a great size but very dry. It's OK, but not what we are used to on the east coast. The selection process for pizza was difficult as there we so many good choices plus two types of pizza, wood fired and thick crust. I had essentially a meat lovers wood fired pizza called The King of New York. Piked high with lots of flavourful meats, a bit spicy but delicious. EDIT BELOW! May 19: Took family for pizza. Expect delicious pizza for $23 for a 12" (almost individual) size pizza. Tasty and great service. It's Jasper so if you take that into account it's expensive because it's in the beautiful mountains. EDIT: Went back July 24th and took a party of 8 to show them a great place. We asked to move 2 tables together and the server was like "sure!" Then manager came out and was very rude saying they couldn't accommodate us, we would have to sit apart. The server looked confused and embarrassed. Then the manager scolded all of us for even asking to move their table. We still ate there but my experience was forever tainted. We used to go 6 times a year and have always went in a group and moved the tables but I guess we need to find somewhere else from now on... Conclusion: this place is obviously making too much money to worry about service. Move on. read more

sadly, this place has really gone downhill. menus were absolutely filthy and so old couldn't even make out the words. waiter told us to use them as the scan menu was not up to date -the scan listed specials but we were told "they aren't offered during summer".
