$17.89. 1 single scoop cone, 1 cup with a squirt of hot fudge. Sami Dee's Scoop review. The ice cream itself was good, and the serving size was respectable but it's at a Park City price.... And service is high school kids on summer break. It seemed like everything in the display case had Heath Bar mixed into it. Since Sami Dee's was one of their signature flavors, I decided to give it a try after sampling it first. It was Coffee flavor vs the Sami. The Sami sample sold me. All of the ingredients worked well together, and there was enough creaminess in the recipe to give it a rich texture that held its shape without feeling overly dense or heavy. The service, however, was a little odd. When I walked up to the counter, all of the employees were gathered on the opposite side of the store, deep in conversation and laughing among themselves. After standing at the ice cream counter for a minute or two without being acknowledged, I finally walked over and asked if the counter was open. Fortunately, two employees came over at the same time. Unfortunately, by then a couple of other customers had arrived and were already standing inside the stanchions. Since I had left my spot to track down an employee, there wasn't really a way to squeeze back into line. So I ended up circling around and asking for the samples I wanted. The employees seemed surprised when they returned behind the counter and found several customers waiting for service. And the employees that did show-up didn't recognize me nor ask who was next. So naturally, the people who had arrived after I went looking for help assumed they were first in line. When I spoke up about what I wanted, I got that look, you know that says that they clearly thought they were here first. In the end, the ice cream was the highlight. The flavor delivered exactly what I was hoping for and it was creamy and smooth. I just wish the experience matched the ice cream's texture -- creamy and smooth. Oh, inside the store is filled with merchandise. The areas and spaces are tight. If someone has a mobility issue, I'd suggest having them wait on a seat in front.

"Tourist Trap" but at least they do it right. We visited for breakfast. $18 acai bowls, $12 smoothies but to be expected. Both were yummy. Friendly staff. Inside is tiny and pretty crammed, but plenty of knick knacks to look at and purchase. You get a buzzer after ordering, so you can stand/walk outside while you wait. A few benches outside, certainly more of a grab and walk kind of place.

This place gets busy very fast. 3 single scoops for $21. Though the scoops are big, the peach ice cream does not taste peachy at all. But it does have peach bits it. The blackberry chocolate chunk does have taste. Expensive for what it is.

Stopped in for a scoop to cool down. They have a good variety of ice cream. I had one scoop of the honey lavender and it was pretty good! The service was quick and friendly. A little pricey but to be expected in Park City.

Objectively, this is great ice cream. This is what they should be teaching in great ice cream academy. My peanut butter boom and java chip scoops were excellent--creamy and rich and full of flavor. If I had one quibble is that there's just not a lot of room to maneuver or sit inside. I would feel rushed trying to eat here and just get ice cream all the time. I think the best of the best ice cream shops have a large dedicated eating spot and a variety of configurations of two-tops, four-tops, six-tops, and counter space. That would put this place over the top in terms of accessibility and comfort levels. Ice cream should never feel rushed. The staff is very friendly and I appreciated the feeling of being taken care of. If they open a much larger location with a more inviting floor plan I'll be back.

A store with it all! One side is a bakery and the other is ice cream. They give two free samples when ordering. They also have lactose free options. I went with a single scoop of Sami Dees flavor, which was heath bar and chocolate chips. They also have a mini size for a smaller option! They also accept cash.

Finding breakfast in Park City on a Sunday morning is near-impossible. When we were about to give up, we came across Java Cow Coffee-not the sit down place we were hoping for, but at least there wasn't a line out the door. In addition to coffee and smoothies, they have a modest menu of breakfast items. We were happy with a bowl of oatmeal and a crepe-even at ridiculous high prices. That's to be expected in Park City, I suppose. While you're here, pick up a souvenir or gag gift-there's plenty of those to be had.

Dropped by on our recent vacay in Park City while we were walking around Main Street. The coffee, ice cream and pastries are all good. But its a bit of a hodgepodge store, not particularly well organized / laid out. Staff was standing behind the counter and didnt really seem particularly excited to be there or wanting to be helpful. Just stumbled into this place to be entertained by all the funny gag gifts as I waited in line to order. The cone was awesome and the ice cream was huckleberry and chocolate so you can't go wrong there! It was amazing. 10 minutes of my life I can't wait to revisit again! read more

Service is a little hit or miss, but they have some pretty good ice cream. The java chip was my favorite. We also tried a peppermint chocolate one, which was a little soft, and a vanilla heath one that was a bit sweeter for me. Pints are a better value if you buy more. read more

I love about an hour away from Park City but on occasion I'll drive down just so we can grab ice cream and nick nacks from Java Cow! This place is Cow themed and it's adorable. I love the Olympic memorabilia it has! I was in the second grade when it took place so I don't remember a whole lot, but I love that it's so nostalgic! They have really good, fun flavored ice cream, and a wide variety! This isn't a place you want to pass up! Make sure to look up at the air vents when you get there. Thank me later. ;) read more

Love the honey lavender ice cream. Not too creamy nor sweet. The kiddy size was just perfect for me after dinner. The shop does gets busy though, expect a little bit of wait. I also tasted coffee. It was super good coming from a coffee addict. If I come back I would be getting the coffee ice cream or even a milkshake. Definitely try this place!! read more

I got a chocolate shake here this afternoon Jan 2nd 2021, it was all milk, you could barely taste any chocolate. $9.00 for a 16oz glass of milk. I'll stick with Häagen-Dazs for the rest of my trip. read more

Surprised to see there is not a coffee scene in Park City. After walking around and stumbling to other coffee shops that were either tiny or closed for repairs there was no other option but to go inside Java Cow. Their Cappuccino left a lot to desire; there was a lot of foam, no pretty art, and was served in a disposable cup. read more

Disgusting. It was so dirty. They had an opened tub of ice cream on the floor that they kept walking by and throwing trash next to. Our server was not wearing gloves; some were. Then my kids said their ice cream was icy. We managed to spend $98 on knickknacks standing in line. On the way out, my kids tossed their ice cream. I guess you don't have to have quality and cleanliness in a tourist town. If you build it, they will come (no matter how bad). read more

My husband said the chocolateice cream was okay. They are not accommodating for food allergies. So I didn't feel it was safe for me to order anything. Very disappointed. Also during busy dinner rush they closed the majority of their seating. read more

I'm not sure how or why, but I always end up at this location for a drink. There's plenty of other coffee shops on Main, but I couldn't tell you how they are because I've only been to Java Cow... about a dozen times... anyway... they have a pretty solid menu. Line can get long, but service is friendly. Awesome iced tea, lattes, and cold brew coffee. Prices seem pricier than usual, but it's Park City. They also have ice cream on the other side and a lot of souvenir type items. read more

Follow the smell of fresh waffles .... Fresh baked waffle cone. Omg yes. Great variety of flavors for every person. Dairy free options. One scoop is plenty especially after a meal and lots of walking around Park City. And if someone doesn't want ice cream they have lots of coffee options. read more

Trendy shop for my 8 year old to find some ice cream and fun trinkets. I love that fancy coffee is available too. Small tables to sit and enjoy your "fuel." At least a dozen or more flavors to choose, and they let my kiddo sample some spoons too. Waffle cones and coffee aroma permeated the air. One Scoop adequately shared by my 8 year old and me. It was HOT outside, so it was nice to cool off and get caffeinated. Buy some caramel, mocha, and munchies. read more

Oh. My. Goodness!!! So good!!! The decaf drip coffee was OUTSTANDING! Smooth but bold and flavorful. I also had the Body Builder açaí bowl and it was PHENOMENAL! So yummy. I am going back again tomorrow! The service was good. I love that they take Apple Pay too. We also our used Fourth of July sugar cookies but I haven't tasted those yet. read more

This place definitely lives up to its name when you think of "Cow Creamery" because everything here is super super rich. I didn't get any of their coffees here and I wanted to get a crepe but didn't see it on the menu despite them having crepe machines... so I went for a sampling of their ice creams before selecting a nice delicious waffle cone. They also offer fruit smoothies which are all fruit and no dairy for those of you who are lactose intolerant! They didn't really give me any gripes about sampling more than 1 ice cream flavor, in fact, I sampled 3. But then again I already ordered the smoothie.... either way. The staff was friendly and I liked my ice cream very much. I highly recommend the oreo cookies and cream. YUM! read more

1) Don't mix politics with business. I am surprised that the owners of this business, especially in a town with 80% tourism during the winter, including international customers, wouldn't take into consideration that people of different political views. Purchasing mints that criticize our president and then selling them to customers? Really? You've definitely made your statement. And I'm not even politically associated but as a member of the military, having something like that that criticizes my boss is unacceptable for a business. Keep your political views to yourself. 2) $3.21 (that's without tax) for the smallest scoop of ice cream I've ever seen. I bought it for my daughter and she's only 2 and it was even too small for her. Ridiculous prices. I have supported Java Cow many times but today will be the last. I'll go buy a pint of Ben and Jerry's for the same price. read more

The ice cream and waffle cones at Java Cow were outstanding! So creamy and fresh. There is usually a line and it was totally worth the wait! The staff was so nice and let us try multiple flavors. They were also very quick once you placed your order. I was sad though because I am a big fan of "fruity" flavors and they were out of the both the mango and strawberry. I ended up getting their honey lavender- very different but very good. The cones were freshly made and probably the best waffle cones I've ever had! I high recommend ditching the cup option and getting your ice cream on a their waffle cone (they have so many different options too). Next time I am in the area, I'll be stopping by for some ice cream. read more

The ice cream is delicious! Creamy, flavorful, and full of interesting ingredients, this is the ice cream I crave on a hot day. The single scoop is about $4.50 & it is a generously sized scoop. Add a few cents and you can upgrade to a waffle cone or a waffle dipped cone (highly recommended!), both of which are made in house. They have over 20 different flavors, including chocolate based, vanilla based, fruit based, and even coconut milk based flavors. I tried the Zowy Cowy (vanilla ice cream with Heath bar, dark chocolate chunks, & a caramel ribbon) & it was very rich and wonderful. In the end I went with the banana ice cream with Reese's chunks because hardly do i ever find good banana ice cream. You know, ice cream made with real bananas, not artificial flavoring, so it's a hint if gray & not bright yellow. This banana ice cream flavor is legit! The line was fairly long when we arrived & remained long when we left, but they still allow you to sample flavors & serve you quickly with a smile. This place is a really gem in downtown Park City. read more

I ordered a double scoop - one with pistachio. The other scoop was pralines and cream. My daughter had a kiddie cup of strawberry banana sorbet. She said it was the right ratio of strawberry and banana (a little more banana than strawberry because she think strawberry is a little more flavorful than banana). My wife had a dark chocolate chips with caramel and brownie pieces. I thought my ice cream was good - just like most private places that make their own ice cream. I'm having a hard time deciding between a 3 or 4 star rating. It's really a 3.5 for me, but I'm giving it a 4 star because my daughter loved the decor of the store. If it were just my wife and I, I would probably rate it a 3. read more

This place is great! Had a hot Latte in the morning which was very creamy and foamy, incredibly tasty. We went back for ice cream in the afternoon after trying a taste in the morning. They boast all natural ingredients, and the flavors are amazing. I had a double scoop of Butterfinger crunch and Vermont Maple Syrup. The flavors were very smooth and subtle, even the cotton candy flavor. I had a taste of my daughter's and you would think it would be overpowering with sugar on contact, but it was actually really good. read more

Whoever opened this place really loves cows. As Sofia M has pointed out in true Dr Seuss fashion they have plenty of cows here. And they have plenty of coffee, which I didn't try myself...but my dad claims is so good that "it's better than starbucks". And plenty of ice cream as well. What Java Cow doesn't have is low fat ice cream flavors, although I should note that they have vanilla and chocolate soft serve frozen yogurt. But I was looking forward to some good low fat ice cream here...instead I settled for butter pecan ice cream with fat free, sugar free hot fudge. I try not to indulge too often in real ice cream (I save the extra calories for chocolate cake), but next time I'm craving the real stuff in Park City I'll go back or at least for coffee and cow browsing. read more

I went to Java Cow to get ice cream with my family. While I was speaking to my sister, I used profanity. No kids were present. The scooper loudly and publicly, in front of more than 20 customers, told me, "Whoa, ma'am, watch your language!" After being publicly shamed and embarrassed, I left without ice cream. The same scooper then proceeded to say shit in front of everyone, including my family, after I left. None of my family enjoyed their ice cream, beyond average for the price, so needless to say none of us will be going back. read more

First time came here for hot drinks on a freezing nite for Sundance. The line was long but not too bad. I ordered a caramel macchiato with almond milk. It was undrinkable. It just left an awful after taste. The next night, we tried for the ice cream instead..that redeemed the drink experience. They had a galore of a selection. The ice cream server was super nice and replaced my ice cream when my cone broke on my attempt to eat with a spoon. No wait so that was a plus. read more

TL;DR: 4.5 stars. Good service, convenient location and of course yummy ice cream! Banksy helps, too. I believe this is a must visit place at Park City. My wife has a serious sweet tooth and loves ice cream. She will eat ice cream indoor and outdoor no matter the season. If you go through our reviews, you'll realize we go to at least one ice cream place at every city we visit. We both went to Penn State and the Creamery ice cream set a pretty high bar for us in terms of ice cream quality. When we say the ice cream is good, trust us. Upon entering the store, it was a little confusing because it is a a cafe that you see first, with the ice cream counter on the other side. After wading through the crowds, you will find a nicely decorated area with a big cow and also 20+ selections of ice cream for you to try. The staff was attentive, giving us as many samples as we wanted (we have decision problems, don't judge) but the line was chaotic. Patrons were unsure where to lineup and where to pay. Look for their unique flavors! They're also quite generous for their serving size. Our waffle cone, kid's size served us for the entire duration of the cone. The sitting area with the cow has a lot of US Olympians memorabilia. Remember to check them out while you're enjoying your delicious ice cream! Last but not least, of course you should look for the Banksy painting on the side of their wall after you exit the store. read more

Our coffee shop features Caffe Ibis, an excellent local roasting company, we have our own bakery, Crepes, and we prepare our own ice cream with the best ingredients! FYI the YELP page has frozen yogurt attached to the Ice Cream Category but we do not do Frozen yogurt, WE have homemade ice cream with the best ingredients

Established in 2003.

A one of a kind coffee shop located in the mountain town of Park City, Utah that specializes in coffee drinks featuring Caffe Ibis. Join us for a light breakfast, lunch or dessert! Our bakery is onsite and everything is created in the house from scratch. We also have the best ice cream in town. We use high quality ingredients and all real food. No artificial, chemical, or GMF are found in our products! We have a Crepe station that serves from 8 am to 4 pm everyday with savory and dessert creations. As a local to Park City for over 30 years, we have tried ALL the ice cream places here and this one is not only the best, but it beats EVERYONE else out of the ball park. HOWEVER Their customer service is HORRENDOUS. This place is run by children and snowboarder dudes that could care less about a good customer service experience. We have had a FEW bad customer service experiences here, but none the less decided to give them another try tonight because we love their ice cream so much; Its Memorial Day, their door was open, we walk in and within 2 seconds, snowboarder dude behind the counter tells us they are closed we have to leave; Turns out they close at 8pm, which is EXACTLY what time our phones said as we looked down to see what time it was. As we looked around and saw 2 other patrons standing there and 1 other person being served we asked the guy if he was serious, even for ice cream, he replied, and I quote "Ya man, sorry about it, we got in a lot of trouble last night for staying open too late, we can't scoop ice cream for the 2 of you.." Somehow I highly doubt they got in trouble for staying open too late.. Their hours are incorrect on GOOGLE and here on yelp. Complete joke. We run a clothing store here on Main St. and are appalled this is the service standard other businesses here on Main St seem to uphold. read more

The owners of this establishment are rude and disrespectful. Would not recommend working for them or buying their over priced food products. They are demeaning and don't appreciate the help they get from volunteer workers. I took a week off of my normal day job to work just a few days for them during the Sundance Film Festival only to be accused of stealing money from the till. I would have made triple what I was making that week doing less work at my normal day job. They are ignorant people and don't deserve the business of good, honest folk. read more

Their homemade ice cream is divine! Love the strawberry and cookies and cream! In the winter, this is a great place to enjoy a cup of rich hot chocolate while I work on my laptop (they have free wifi). Super yummy Belgian waffles are a sweet treat too.
