$17.89. 1 single scoop cone, 1 cup with a squirt of hot fudge. Sami Dee's Scoop review. The ice cream itself was good, and the serving size was respectable but it's at a Park City price.... And service is high school kids on summer break. It seemed like everything in the display case had Heath Bar mixed into it. Since Sami Dee's was one of their signature flavors, I decided to give it a try after sampling it first. It was Coffee flavor vs the Sami. The Sami sample sold me. All of the ingredients worked well together, and there was enough creaminess in the recipe to give it a rich texture that held its shape without feeling overly dense or heavy. The service, however, was a little odd. When I walked up to the counter, all of the employees were gathered on the opposite side of the store, deep in conversation and laughing among themselves. After standing at the ice cream counter for a minute or two without being acknowledged, I finally walked over and asked if the counter was open. Fortunately, two employees came over at the same time. Unfortunately, by then a couple of other customers had arrived and were already standing inside the stanchions. Since I had left my spot to track down an employee, there wasn't really a way to squeeze back into line. So I ended up circling around and asking for the samples I wanted. The employees seemed surprised when they returned behind the counter and found several customers waiting for service. And the employees that did show-up didn't recognize me nor ask who was next. So naturally, the people who had arrived after I went looking for help assumed they were first in line. When I spoke up about what I wanted, I got that look, you know that says that they clearly thought they were here first. In the end, the ice cream was the highlight. The flavor delivered exactly what I was hoping for and it was creamy and smooth. I just wish the experience matched the ice cream's texture -- creamy and smooth. Oh, inside the store is filled with merchandise. The areas and spaces are tight. If someone has a mobility issue, I'd suggest having them wait on a seat in front.

"Tourist Trap" but at least they do it right. We visited for breakfast. $18 acai bowls, $12 smoothies but to be expected. Both were yummy. Friendly staff. Inside is tiny and pretty crammed, but plenty of knick knacks to look at and purchase. You get a buzzer after ordering, so you can stand/walk outside while you wait. A few benches outside, certainly more of a grab and walk kind of place.

This place gets busy very fast. 3 single scoops for $21. Though the scoops are big, the peach ice cream does not taste peachy at all. But it does have peach bits it. The blackberry chocolate chunk does have taste. Expensive for what it is.

Stopped in for a scoop to cool down. They have a good variety of ice cream. I had one scoop of the honey lavender and it was pretty good! The service was quick and friendly. A little pricey but to be expected in Park City.

Objectively, this is great ice cream. This is what they should be teaching in great ice cream academy. My peanut butter boom and java chip scoops were excellent--creamy and rich and full of flavor. If I had one quibble is that there's just not a lot of room to maneuver or sit inside. I would feel rushed trying to eat here and just get ice cream all the time. I think the best of the best ice cream shops have a large dedicated eating spot and a variety of configurations of two-tops, four-tops, six-tops, and counter space. That would put this place over the top in terms of accessibility and comfort levels. Ice cream should never feel rushed. The staff is very friendly and I appreciated the feeling of being taken care of. If they open a much larger location with a more inviting floor plan I'll be back.

A store with it all! One side is a bakery and the other is ice cream. They give two free samples when ordering. They also have lactose free options. I went with a single scoop of Sami Dees flavor, which was heath bar and chocolate chips. They also have a mini size for a smaller option! They also accept cash.

Finding breakfast in Park City on a Sunday morning is near-impossible. When we were about to give up, we came across Java Cow Coffee-not the sit down place we were hoping for, but at least there wasn't a line out the door. In addition to coffee and smoothies, they have a modest menu of breakfast items. We were happy with a bowl of oatmeal and a crepe-even at ridiculous high prices. That's to be expected in Park City, I suppose. While you're here, pick up a souvenir or gag gift-there's plenty of those to be had.

Coffee is way over priced, and service is terrible. The line to order is awkward. I had to use the restroom and was not happy about how I was told I used the wrong one, they should probably try marking the one that is in use. read more

My husband and I visited for ice cream after dinner. I wasn't impressed with the ice cream or the service. I'm glad I didn't purchase a larger size because the ice cream itself didn't taste any better than something we could've purchased at a grocery store. For $18, I couldn't taste the "homemade" in this ice cream at all. This place appears busier in the evening. The store is small when you walk in. There is a bakery/coffee shop when you walk in, and towards the back of the store is the ice cream. There are two small picnic tables right outside to sit on and some counter top seating inside. read more

It's chaos in there. Employees are swamped, so they likely don't have time to greet anyone. I found myself in a line full of people only to find out that we weren't in a line at all. They employees were not knowledgeable about their product. There are no places to sit. The ice cream is mediocre, if that. read more

I heard many people say that this place was a must-try in Park City. I missed the hype. Tried a coffee and a breakfast burrito and both were very average. There was a line and the burrito took forever even though it was microwaved. The coffee was insanely sweet. Nothing tasted bad necessarily, but nothing I would come back for. The staff wasn't very welcoming or helpful. Maybe the ice cream is really the play here. read more

So many flavors to choose from, I went with the heath bar toffee..yum! We ate our ice cream inside at one of the few tables. Great location to people watch and look at the gift shop. Holy cows... so many cows all over the place, everywhere you mooovvee...t shirts, mugs you name it! They also have a coffee area with all sorts of baked goods.Everything looked good. Such a cute little shop and ice cream place. They have options for everyone as far as flavors go and dairy free flavors that are not just sorbet. The shop is filled with such an eclectic array of items from shirts to puzzles to funny coasters. Perfect for kids to walk around and enjoy some ice cream. The coffee was great also! read more

It's not just an ice cream and coffee place! We had the most wonderful breakfast here- Nutella waffle for the waffle lover and strawberry croissant for me with a dirty chai tea latte! Heavenly! Sat outside at their two tables and off we went. Perfect pick me up. read more

This shop has some promise, but fell flat for me. They offer a large variety of items from coffee to pastry to ice cream. Located in the middle of the downtown we found them to always be busy with a long line. The theme of the shop is cute with cows everywhere. In addition to the coffee bar and ice cream shop there are novelties and other goodies for sale. Seating includes a few tables outside, a few tables in the front of the shop, and a few tables at the back of the ice cream side. Everything inside is packed tight and can be difficult to make your way through the shop. My husband stopped in for coffee a couple of times and found it to be okay. Long waits, but the coffee wasn't bad. The main issue with Java Cow is everything concerning the ice cream. The ice cream selection is limited with mostly basic flavors. The line was long and slow to get ice cream. At the front I was helped by an employee that had long hair, not pulled back in any way. He scooped my ice cream with his long hair dangling over all of the other ice cream bins in the case. The single scoop was the smallest scoop I've ever seen and came in at $5. It's rare I complain about price, but this was overpriced. Overpriced for a tiny scoop of mediocre ice cream. I always prefer to give my business to local shops, but this trip I went to the chain down the street for my ice cream. The ice cream, service, and cost were all far superior. read more

Yuck!! I just went in here for the first time in 20+ years and they would not give a 3 year old a small taste of the ice cream! But their new location at Kimball Jct does. Plus, there is so much junk in that store (toys and stuffed animals) it's hard to move. I thought this was an ice cream place. I'll go back to Dolly's, next time. They are much nicer and have a lot better space and great ice cream. read more

I was visiting from out of town and had delicious ice cream from here. I ordered a cookies n cream scoop in a waffle cone. The cone was fresh, and the ice cream was high quality. They have some seating outdoors which is great when the weather is pleasant. Also, walk out and take a left and look at the wall in the alley. There is a Banksy art piece! I would definitely visit here again and would recommend this to all to try. read more

Banksy, Cappuccinos, Ice Cream and a Cow... I thought I would have to go three days without a cappuccino in Park City and there it was... Java Cow Coffee. It's not the craft coffee with a hipster barista that you get in the big cities, but for being up in the mountains, they do a decent pull. If you want Starbucks, sure, you can get that at the bottom of the hill on Park Avenue, but if you want espresso, you have to come here. If you don't care for coffee, you can always get their famous ice cream, which looked really good. Lots of creative flavors and perfect for a summer day. Of course for those coolbies who already know about the cow in the back, the real reason to come here is to meet Banksy. On the side of the building in the little alley street is a Banksy original of a camera man filming a flower. If me saying Banksy brings a "Whaaaaa???" look to your eyes, that's okay. He's just the most famous activist muralist on the planet. People don't even know what he looks like and they are willing to bid up his works $1-$2 mil. Anyhow, just make your midday and get a coffee. Or an ice cream. read more

Overpriced, and the ice cream wasn't delicious. Customer service was not the greatest either. My son's vanilla and Cotton candy tasted like it was Freezer burnt. My salted caramel lacked flavor. Sadly the only thing we liked was the cookies and cream. I felt rushed because of the line behind us, or else I would have tried to sample the ice cream before purchasing. read more

I'm impressed with the amount of cow decorations this place has. They sell cow chapstick to cups and t-shirts. Kind of cool if you ask me. The crepe and the vanilla latte were superb. Lots of flavors and was delicious. Service was pretty quick and pretty friendly. I had a crepe with their ice cream and man it was good. If I ever come back here I would definitely try some of their other ice cream. When we went the other side wasn't opened yet (before 11) so we didn't get to try the ice cream. read more

Stopped in here for breakfast. Got the Early Riser Crepe. It hit the spot! Nice, hot, melted cheese with ham. YUM! Even though it wasn't even 11am, my husband got a dessert crepe (which of course I had more than a few bites). It was delicious! I got the Matcha Chai Latte. This was "udderly" disappointing. We stopped by for ice cream one summer evening, but probably should have kept walking by. Here is what we noticed: - Really long lines. - As we got to the front of the line, we noticed that a lot of the flavors were either out or covered up - One of the servers sneezed and then didn't even wash his hands...my son was having a fit about it because he works at an ice cream shop where we live and knows better. - There was real variability in the sizes of the scoops...I got a kid who seemed to have a sore hand so my cup was much smaller than the cup my wife got. Bottom line: Total tourist trap...you're better off driving down to a grocery store and buying more ice cream at a better price! read more

Terrible experience. We had to wait at the counter so long I finally had to yell toward the back to see if someone was there. 3 guys came from the back and the one we dealt with had a bad attitude. I ordered a cafe au lait and it was so Nasty I had to reorder a cappuccino. The cappuccino wasn't so great. The place was filthy, they had no napkins at the self service station, there were multiple coffee spills and I'm done typing my negative thoughts. After I finished my review I came to find that my wife, who was in the restroom at the time had order a latte but it ended up being hot old coffee with some steamed coconut milk. I decided to digress and call the manager the next day to get a refund. Go across the street to the other coffee place. read more

The atmosphere here is fantastic! I love the cow decor. The ice cream is okay, better than most, but not my favorite. The hot chocolate is delicious :) Worth a try when your looking for something to do later in the evening after hitting the slopes :) read more

Ice cream isn't bad, they have a decent selection, but...I am really not a fan of ice cream places that won't do samples. If I am going to spend that much for an ice cream (and they aren't cheap) I want to buy something I know I like. I won't be back. read more

Tiny ice cream scoops, so small the young man checking me out said "one scoop waffle cone". Giving the benefit of the doubt it was a busy evening and the young girl scooping must not have been doing it long, since she put the scoops in a tiny bowl first. And the 2 chocolate flavors I wanted were gone. But they did have ok, non chocolate choices. Very cute store, I will likely go back while in Park City. read more

Overpriced and average ice cream. The single scoop was tiny and over $6. That's more than my hometown small-batch microcreamery. They "don't do" samples either which is ridiculous when you're paying that much. The person scooping the ice cream was rude on top of everything. I would avoid this place. read more

OMG the ice cream is like butta! Almost $5 for a single scoop is steep but your on Main street Park City. My son got the mint chocolate chip, it was amazing. This is like no other mint ice cream i ever had. The chunks of chocolate were big and chewy. I ended up eating most of it, ha! We went on the other side and they have great eclairs and other desserts. Service was young but it was efficient. I will be back! read more

Although the store is so cute and it seems like a novelty it is not worth it. The ice cream had no flavor, the macaroons tasted stale, and the banana chocolate smoothie for sour and had no flavor. Are total was close to $30 after tip. I recommend saving your money or going across the street. The service was also just okay. The girl behind the counter grabbed a pastry with her bare hand. No gloves in sight through this pandemic. Save your money and go somewhere else! read more

How do you say I LOVE YOU in Cow? Anyone? Anyways... I love this place. We frequently make little "getaway" trips to Park City and Java Cow has become part of our tradition. When it's cold, you have to stop in for their gourmet hot cocoa. They always make it the perfect temperature, and I love that it's not a super strong chocolate flavor, tastes more creamy. The ice cream is also a must-have, for the summer time. Or just get both and the best of both seasons! They also occasionally have some tasty macarons. Just look inside their little glass display of goodies and try something, I promise you won't regret it. They have a nice little seating area in the back if you want to stay inside, or some little benches on the outside. Either way, if you just need a little pick-me-up, moooooove on over here and maybe go to the moooovies afterwards! ;) read more

Our coffee shop features Caffe Ibis, an excellent local roasting company, we have our own bakery, Crepes, and we prepare our own ice cream with the best ingredients! FYI the YELP page has frozen yogurt attached to the Ice Cream Category but we do not do Frozen yogurt, WE have homemade ice cream with the best ingredients

A one of a kind coffee shop located in the mountain town of Park City, Utah that specializes in coffee drinks featuring Caffe Ibis. Join us for a light breakfast, lunch or dessert! Our bakery is onsite and everything is created in the house from scratch. We also have the best ice cream in town. We use high quality ingredients and all real food. No artificial, chemical, or GMF are found in our products! We have a Crepe station that serves from 8 am to 4 pm everyday with savory and dessert creations. As a local to Park City for over 30 years, we have tried ALL the ice cream places here and this one is not only the best, but it beats EVERYONE else out of the ball park. HOWEVER Their customer service is HORRENDOUS. This place is run by children and snowboarder dudes that could care less about a good customer service experience. We have had a FEW bad customer service experiences here, but none the less decided to give them another try tonight because we love their ice cream so much; Its Memorial Day, their door was open, we walk in and within 2 seconds, snowboarder dude behind the counter tells us they are closed we have to leave; Turns out they close at 8pm, which is EXACTLY what time our phones said as we looked down to see what time it was. As we looked around and saw 2 other patrons standing there and 1 other person being served we asked the guy if he was serious, even for ice cream, he replied, and I quote "Ya man, sorry about it, we got in a lot of trouble last night for staying open too late, we can't scoop ice cream for the 2 of you.." Somehow I highly doubt they got in trouble for staying open too late.. Their hours are incorrect on GOOGLE and here on yelp. Complete joke. The owners of this establishment are rude and disrespectful. Would not recommend working for them or buying their over priced food products. They are demeaning and don't appreciate the help they get from volunteer workers. I took a week off of my normal day job to work just a few days for them during the Sundance Film Festival only to be accused of stealing money from the till. I would have made triple what I was making that week doing less work at my normal day job. They are ignorant people and don't deserve the business of good, honest folk. read more

Their homemade ice cream is divine! Love the strawberry and cookies and cream! In the winter, this is a great place to enjoy a cup of rich hot chocolate while I work on my laptop (they have free wifi). Super yummy Belgian waffles are a sweet treat too.
