This donut shop is definitely one of older joints in town, very out dated and smells of it too. The donuts we got were a vanilla sprinkles and two Boston crémes which they both looked the same.. Chocolate Icing falling off but they filling was good. The bake of these donuts are very strong oil taste. I don't think I've ever had a donut taste light oil, bread and icing all at once. The kids are there's so I was happy they enjoyed it but not my favorite I didn't however overhear someone raving about their bagels but I can't say for my own personal experience. read more

I do not understand how this place has such high reviews. The place feels overly dirty on the inside, and the donuts, when you eat them, feel heavy. I have been in California a lot recently, and when you get donuts out there, they are fresh and are absolutely amazing as compared to this. Great customer service! I always use the drive-thru and I always have a pleasant experience. Prices are reasonable and the donuts are not bad. Donuts that I have tasted have not been overly sweet and I appreciated that. Sometimes parking can be tricky asd the drive-thru line snakes through the parking lot if it gets too long. A nice independent coffee and donut shop to stop off at breakfast or lunch. They have sandwiches for breakfast or lunch plenty of fresh made donuts and very good coffee. Several different areas to sit inside and smokers sit outside so watch the smoke. There is also a drive-through if you're just needing to pick something up. Ok...having lived in the area for about 9 months, I've tried Java Junction approximately 4 or 5 times and it was fine. The basic coffee is brown water...but standard for a non-"bucks". The donuts are ok, not a "wow" but fine. The service is fine, a little pushy for the up-sale and sandwiches (which I've not tried, but look pretty ho-hum). The place seems sanitary, but dated and rundown. This can add a cool kitschy aspect though. If you happen to be going by and want a quick, average snack...it's fine. I wouldn't go out of my way for it though. read more

Nice little basic coffee shop with really good home made donuts. Not too comfortable an atmosphere where you would want to hang out all day. Not hip (what place in Daytona is?) But decent coffee and excellent donuts. Do not think they have wifi. But recently made a quick visit into town and was disappointed. I think they may have changed ownership. I had stopped coming to the place because suddenly the coffee would always be weak and awful and the guy behind the counter would put sugar in it even when you asked him not to. I had large mocha coffee and cranberry orange muffin for about $5. The muffin was delicious. The coffee was good, pretty much like other coffee shops, nothing special. Ok place for studying, only the back corner table has an electrical outlet nearby for plugging in a laptop if needed (that I can see). While sitting in the restaurant, I heard other customers coming in for the half off donuts after 1pm. I haven't tried the donuts so can't comment on the quality, but they seem to have a good variety. I was introduced to Java by my brother who lives in Daytona. I am hooked. After having donuts here, I really cannot get myself to eat donuts anywhere else. Their coffee is also fresh and tasty. I love the neighborhood hospitality. On my last visit, before my flight back to Jerz, we stopped there at 5am when they weren't quite open. But it's fine by me because it's an absolute pleasure! Plus I get out of the office for a bit Let's start with the service...ALWAYS greeted with a smile and good conversation, the order is taken and made quickly and efficiently not to mention, most of the time all I have to say is "the usual" and she knows exactly what my entire office wants. We checked out this place twice this weekend. We used the drive-thru each visit, so I can't comment on the interior. We pulled up to the drive-thru behind cars each time, and the wait wasn't too long. My husband ordered a black coffee, I ordered the coffee latte. We both enjoyed our drinks. I like that I was asked if I wanted sugar in my drink rather than automatically adding it.
