I was super excited about them opening up. They have nice location next to Trader Joe's. However, their latte was mediocre- not as bold or strong as I would've liked. Also, my friend got their egg and cheese breakfast sandwich only to find a strand of hair in it. At least the waitstaff was wailing to make a new one. Perhaps I'll edit my review after I go back to try their boba tea another day. read more

When I saw this place offered Vietnamese iced coffee, I was sold. The drink is specifically sea salt Vietnamese coffee and you can also adjust the sweetness level, so I got 75% (sweet tooth here) the coffee was so tasty and creamy. The first few times I went to Java Loco I loved it - good boba, good service, and the dirty pistachio with sea salt cream is delicious hot or cold. But the last two times I went they messed up my drink and instead of remaking from scratch, the barista just dumped part of the drink out, added what they forgot, and gave it to me without refilling the ice. The drinks ended up warm and watered down. Two different people did this. When you mess up a drink it should be remade, not partially poured out and poorly reconstructed. I am not sure I will stop by again. read more

Overall, the food is pretty garbage, worse than Starbucks, worse than McDonald's. nothing is fresh, even the croissant came out of the refrigerator (bad sign for turnover, they can't even get fresh croissants as a cafe?). Plus one for vegan option (veggie sandwich), wasn't great but at least it's there. Minus one for bad service: staff was grouchy even though I paid with a 25% tip (my custom since covid). My wife ordered an egg sandwich with Swiss, we got an egg with American, they had to remake it and the lady gave us grouchy looks. I ordered 2 cups for icewater, never got them. The drink is OK. The bad review is for the service. There are 2 young ladies working. They seem to be miserable. I ordered my drink ($7). I havent seen a smile or a thank you. please don't go here for coffee. it's advertised as a cafe too but they don't have a proper espresso machine and the workers are great but they aren't trained on lattes just bubble tea. the boba is the same stuff as ocha tea so if you like that it's the same menu too. read more

Love Java Loco for its coffee and milk tea. My daughter and I enjoy the boba taro milk tea which is creamy and not too sweat. Also love being able to control the sweetness of the standard milk tea which is great hot or cold. Java Loco is one of the few places on this part of Leesburg Pike that I can walk too that also has outdoor seating which has been great during the summer and fall. read more

Love this place. It's walkable from where I live and I'm so glad it opened. It has hot breakfast sandwiches, coffees, teas, and more. The best part is, they have Ocha bubble tea available in the morning and most bubble tea shops around here don't open until lunch time. I love that I can get a bubble tea at 8 am with a bagel sandwich. And it's really good! Staff is great-- they customized a smoothie for my toddler and were super nice about it. read more

We were really excited about trying this place and were disappointed. I am still giving them 3 stars for their drinks. I got a lavender tea with an espresso shot and it was SOOO good and my fiancé got a regular latte and liked it as well. I got the Turkey gouda sandwich and my fiancé got the Cuban. We were bummed because it was nothing special. Tastes like you can make it at home. They also have breakfast sandwiches and bubble tea but we didn't try that. I was going to get a bagel sandwich but they don't do egg whites (but that's just me being a diva) My recommendation is stick to the coffee and go for the exposed brick ascetic. read more

I judge the quality of a coffee shop based on their cappuccino. This is the most basic drink for a trained barista to make, and shows the level of quality of their training. I've been there 3 times and each time the cappuccino was terrible. The espresso is bitter and over extracted, and the milk is steamed to the point of scalding hot and watery.
