Charming, elevated, and delicious! I would recommend for an affordable quality lunch if you are nearby. They load the banh mi up in the freshly baked bread! I went during a weekday lunch time and there was a small line, however the service was still quick. I like that they pack the sandwich into a bag, give them some character! This same charm is seen with the interior decor and stool seating options outside. I really liked their specialty bahn mi and the grilled pork. The strawberry assam was also very good, the creamy top tastes like cream cheese and the tea was nice.

Seating is limited since the space is pretty small, so most people seemed to grab their drinks and go. We ordered the black sesame and pandan coffee, and both were smooth and flavorful with a nice balance of sweetness.
AMAZING! We came to Eden center expecting to get food from a different location, but saw that everyone was carrying coffee and bags from this place, so we decided to try it. I am so happy that we did. We got the grilled pork sausage banh mi oi which came with ample meat and veggies. The bead was delicious and had enough sauce, not too little and not too much to make it soggy. We tried the black sesame and ube coffee. Both were delicious. Food came out fast even though many people were there. They have a few tables with small chairs on the main floor and then a larger area upstairs. The Eden center also has a few outdoor tables near the parking lot of all are taken. We will be returning!

This is located in Eden Center. Parking can get tricky depending on the time. Despite the long line, service is pretty efficient! Customer service is great! I've came here a couple of times already and my experiences have been great so far. Cafe is not as spacious and I love the feel of the cafe. I have tried the Grilled Chicken and Lemongrass Steak banh mi and both are good! Love the crunch of the bread! I hear some customer say it is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it. I have also tried their Viet and Ube coffee and it compliments well with the banh mi. highly recommend trying this spot if you haven't already done so!
The Banh mi was fresh and the meat filling was flavorful. The sandwich was pretty big and the filling generous. I was not really impressed by the coffee though. It didn't have a strong coffee flavor that Vietnamese coffee usually does and was more similar to a mocha. The restaurant was very cute and it was nice to experience what a Vietnamese cafe in Vietnam would be like.

The top layer was thick and frothy with a sweet flavor that blends perfectly with the strong Vietnamese coffee underneath. The banh mi was just as solid. The bread was warm, crispy on the outside, and soft on the inside. The grilled pork was flavorful, and the jalapeños added a nice spicy kick. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.
Moving from New York, I was worried I'd never find a good Banh Mi again. All of the highly touted places had something off -- bread too soft or too hard, skimpy on the filling, or the flavor just wasn't right. Banh Mi Oi is absolutely deserving of its popularity! The bread has the perfect bite, the pâté is delicious, and the veggies are fresh and crisp. This is the real deal. Please never change!

Super strawberry with puree. Would come back again! We got the combination banh minh and it was good. It felt a bit emptier than other places we been to but the flavor was there! Theres not a ton of seating inside I think it feels more like a takeout spot.
After following them on IG, where everyday they post their buns, I had high expectations coming here and let me tell you, they walk the talk. The buns are so crispy on the outside but light in the inside that each bite tastes incredibly balanced and well-proportioned. To taste a variety, I ordered their signature, hot chicken, grilled chicken, and five spiced tofu. Also got the egg latte. My favorite, though unconventional, was the nashville hot chicken. Just so much explosion in your mouth. The spice was perfect, spicy but not blowing your tongue off. The menu is quite humorous, you've got all these Asian flavors and then throws in the nashville hot but I'm all for it. The signature and grilled chicken were good too, really if that's what you're craving, you won't be disappointed but I'm also not going to elaborate on them. The tofu was interesting. I really enjoyed the five spiced flavor on the tofu. However, when taking a bite of the whole sandwich, I was searching for more of that five spiced flavor. I looked at the sandwich and to my surprise, the block of tofu is actually quite substantial. People there are really nice and helpful but is a small space. According to their IG, they do sell out at times too so get there early!
The grilled pork banh mi was so good. We also got the egg coffee and fresh creme coffee - these are STRONG! I couldn't finish mine because it was a lot, but the they were delicious and I'd love to try their other flavors and matcha! Super cute interior with a few tables upstairs, downstairs, and outside.

I can understand the hype. The banh mi is great with the bread being exactly what you want from a banh mi, crispy outside with a light and fluffy inside. The filling is well flavored. The restaurant is on the outside corner of Eden. It's tiny and cute and has crumbs all over the floor from how toasty the bread is. The bread is soo airy. It has still has a crispness to it as well. Not hard or tough like some other places. Feels light when you eat it. Got both the signature and the grilled pork and they did not disappoint. Def worth stopping by even if it's for a sandwich to go. The strawberry matcha is not overly sweet but you can taste the mix between the two distinctly. read more

I've been hearing about Banh Mi Oi a lot recently so when a couple friends also recommended it, I knew I had to stop by! And apparently, I'm not alone in hearing good things because it was definitely hopping on a Saturday afternoon! The wait wasn't too bad though and most people were taking their orders to go so I was able to snag one of the small tables upstairs. I ordered the signature banh mi and like everyone else has said, their bread is amazing! My only critique, if you can call it that, was that there was almost too much bread so I didn't taste the rest of the sandwich as much. That being said, I'd eat a loaf of the bread alone! My personal favorite was the mango dragon fruit tea which is a revelation. It has the creaminess almost of a Yakult, but also with a slight sparkly fizz to it? I don't know how they make it but if they were closer to me, I'd get one every day! read more

Hoping to come back and try what they're really known for, banh mi Pandan matcha 8.5/10 - the pandan cold fam was so good omg, perfectly sweeten and you could taste it when you mixed the drink - matcha latte itself was pretty good but i dont like whole milk that much Mango matcha 3/10 - tasted like pure mango puree which was like 1/2 the cup - it was so thick and even when you mixed everything you only tasted the puree - i took a small sip from where the ice was at the top and it was still so thick read more

I can see why everyone comes here and raves about this place: the bread tastes fresh and baked in house, the pate is thick and flavorful, and the meats are savory. The sandwiches are never dry nor do they ever taste old. The only thing I wish they can improve on is their supply, since they sometimes run out of bread or certain items. This is honestly the best Banh Mi I've ever had in the DMV area, better than Banh Mi DC (in my opinion). The interior is a cute and small restaurant that keeps their menu simple. There's not much seating and the parking lot is nothing unusual in the Eden Center: crowded and tight parking. read more

I ate three banh mis from Banh Mi Oi for a couple different occasions. Initially, I made use of the BOGO deal on UberEats for the Bánh Mì Pork Meatball, and coincidentally, I went to an event later that week catered dinner from Banh Mi Oi. Here are my thoughts on both of them: BÁNH MÌ PORK MEATBALL Pork meatball is not my first choice, but I got it because the BOGO deal only worked on this banh mi. The baguette was nice and crunchy, and I really enjoyed the pickled vegetables. However, I didn't like the sweet, plum-sauce like marinade on the pork meatball. When I had the banh mi the first night, I was not a fan. However, the second banh mi I ate the next day was somehow more pleasant. They're the same sandwich, but maybe my taste buds changed over night, I don't know. BÁNH MÌ CLASSIC COLD CUTS This is the banh mi I got at the event I went to which I enjoyed a lot more. Everything was great, and there's none of that sweet marinade from the pork meatball cold cut. Good balance of ingredients and baguette. Overall, solid banh mi option, and I'd definitely get this one again. I enjoyed the cold cuts a lot more, and I love that each sandwich is under $10. The mango matcha was okay, it was really hard to mix it together, but the flavors together were alright. The banh mi nem nuong was really good! I just wished there was more nem nuong. It was the meatball version, so there was only a few in the sandwich read more
This is my new favorite bahn mi place ! It is a little pricey compared to other places I've gotten bahn mi but every time I go to get one it's so delicious. The interior is nice and bright with lots of sunlight and the service has been quick every time I've gone there. The employees are kind and polite and I'm always greeted by a smile. Banh Mi Oi is the newest banh mi addition to Eden Center and it was surprisingly good! Honestly, I thought it was just going to be a place hyped up online. It's right on the edge of Eden, with two floors so more seating than some other places in the area, and lots of sunlight coming through. As many of the other reviews say, the bread here is the star. It's crisp on the outside, but soft enough to smush together and doesn't cut up the roof of your mouth. I got the banh mi nem nuong and they really packed in fillings. I also ordered a cafe sua da (Vietnamese iced coffee), which was decent. Not too sweet, but also not that strong (personal preference. One thing though, it's a bit pricey ($15 for both of these!) and that docks off some points due to its proximity to other alternatives. read more

Food: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Friends and I are visiting from LA and a friend who lives local recommended this Bahn Mi place! It was SO GOOD. We got: Lemongrass Steak Signature Lemongrass Seitan (vegan protein) Black Sesame Cream Coffee Coconut Cream Coffee The baguette they use is perfectly crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The staff was so welcoming and very nice in explaining the menu! I think it's family owned! Inside is very cozy and well-lit. Their coffee was amazing! I want to emphasize is how good their bread is..... it really reminds me of the bread you get in Vietnam--the smell, the texture, the flavor--it's spot on!! I've been to Banh Mi Oi a few times and have tried their Banh Mi Mui Tau Signature (the dac biet/specialty/combination) and the Lemongrass Steak banh mi. All their sandwiches come with pickled radish and carrots (do chua), mayo aioli, cucumber, and cilantro. Between the two, I actually prefer the lemongrass steak--its more flavorful and has a nice flavor profile. Personally, I think the combination is bland. I also gave their Mango Matcha drink a try, but it tasted kind of like sugarcane juice to me, which was not really my thing.. I mean, I do love a good sugarcane juice but not sure why the mango matcha tastes like that. On the other hand, the Strawberry Assam was super refreshing. It's called Hồng Trà Dâu--a mix of bold Assam tea with strawberry flavor, topped with a creamy cheese foam layer. read more
This is my first visit to Banh Mi Oi, a recent addition to Eden Center. Since visiting Vietnam, my bar was set pretty high for bánh mì. I know some places simply microwave the meat/sandwich, but not Banh Mi Oi!! It was a little tough to find, but once we did, they did not disappoint. We ordered the lemongrass beef, which was large enough for 2 to share. It was loaded with plenty of meat as well as amazing flavors. The bread was so perfectly crunch and soft in the right places. The prices are a little high, but definitely worth trying once. Unfortunately, I didn't look at the other menu items because I was here for one thing only. I regret not trying the Vietnamese coffee, but I already had too much coffee. There were some tables and chairs in the main level, and authentic type seating upstairs, which definitely was reminiscent of eating bánh mì in Vietnam. The bikes, hats and fans added a nice cultural touch; there were also mugs ($9.99 each) and totes for sale with clever sayings. Customer service was basic, she answered our questions but it was mostly just place your order, pick up and move on. They take a while with the orders, but most likely because they are actually cooking/cooked the food vs. microwaving. Unfortunately, they must have been understaffed because there was so much trash piled up in the garbage can upstairs and just left laying around. There are many things that I love in life...and banh mi is near the top of my list. Banh mi with a crunchy crust (that won't totally slice the roof of your mouth), packed with veggies and meat. Fortunately, we have Banh Mi Oi in Eden Center with a variety of banh mi as well as drinks. I've tried the Thit Heo Nuong (grilled pork) and the Nem Nuong (pork sausage). Both came with that signature crusty banh mi baguette bread that no matter how hard I try, I can't bake myself at home. So I guess I'll just have to keep coming back to Banh Mi Oi to enjoy it! I've also tried the matcha here which is solid. On another trip here (because there *will* be more), I want to try the Vietnamese coffee. read more

After getting six sandwiches at Banh mi so 1 to go, I was curious about this banh mi special for a lunar new year. So I got the special to go and eat it that night. I think it came out to be close to $11 versus the under six dollars per sandwich at the first place so it's definitely a little pricier. I just was curious to try it and it had an egg in the sandwich that made it pretty unique. I think the bread was good. The filling was just the right amount. It wasn't too full where you can't bite into it, but it wasn't falling out and being all over the place either. I think it was a solid special. I didn't try anything else, but I'm definitely curious to come back for more. It seemed like a lot of people were there at least for take out because it's not a big place. most of their options are pork based which I don't eat so I went for this Lemongrass steak Banh Mi sand-which. Now, full context, this is a newer Banh Mi spot in Fairfax (seven corners). The sand-which was pretty well packed. Tons of steak in every bite, the bread was warm/ soft and yet semi crunchy at the same time. Taste factor, oh it was there for sure. The price is a little on the high end. I believe it was around $9-$10 bucks. If I was to compare this sand-which from a known establishment like Lee's Sandwhiches, well I can say this new spot could give them a run for their money. read more

The best banh mi in my life, in US, in the world! I go to Banh Mi Oi almost every week, and have never been tired of eating the same banh mi every time lol. I love grilled pork, but my husband loves their signature Banh mi. Both are AMAZING! We'd like to have all other banh mi, but always order same one since it's too good! Their bread is crispy outside, soft inside and very light. Their veggies are fresh and tasty. Meat is tender and nicely cooked. Sauce is well harmonized with other ingredients. Perfect light meal. And cheap!!! Their coffee is also good!! Already recommended to my friends and 100% they LOVE it. Never disappointed! Wish they open new restaurant in MD too! read more
Which a great banh mi spot! We got the Signature & Grilled Pork, both were super tasty! The bread is the perfect combination of crunchy & flaky without scratching up your mouth and soft but not soggy. Truly a delicacy with the bread. I was craving Banh mi randomly and I remembered that Banh mi Oi was the hype around the past year so I decided to make a trip to Eden center. Banh Mi Oi fits right in the bustling scene of Eden Center. They specialize in sandwiches and drinks. Their bread has a great texture and is baked perfectly. It is soft on the inside and has a nice shell on the outside that can get a little messy. The lemongrass steak and chicken banh mi were two of the top banh mi that I have had in NoVA. I would say it beats Banh Mi DC in terms of taste and portion size. The price is a little more expensive but only by a few dollars. Eden center can get pretty busy during weekends during the day so I recommend coming early or late. The service was very friendly and my order was made relatively quick. I tried their truffle cream latte and wow, the richness of the cream and the truffle flavor complimented the coffee very well. They serve the drink with a mini baguette on top. It tastes more like a cream puff without the cream inside. They have a few seating options on the second level and it is decorated in a traditional Vietnamese street food marketplace.
