I stopped this cafe because I happened to be in the area and after seeing someone post one of the sandwiches they bought from this place I've been obsessed with trying it. First things first, parking. The stores have a parking garage that requires you to pay within 15-20 minutes I believe. I met a friend at another restaurant that validated but even if they didn't. Prices were pretty reasonable. When I first entered, the place was bright, clean, pretty immaculate. Everyone was either working or conversing with friends at various tables. In line with a cafe vibe. It was my first time there so I wasn't aware that you can simply order at the kiosks by the entrance. But the server was very friendly and was happy to provide input on the menu. But since I wanted to peruse the menu a bit more, I figured the kiosk was the best way to check out other items on the menu besides the sandwich that I knew I wanted. I ordered the hibiscus lemonade and the bulgogi egg sandwich to go. The sandwich was flavorful, the eggs were fluffy, the bread was soft and the sauce brought everything together. I could see why it was one of their best selling items. The hibiscus lemonade was delicious as well, though I'm interested in trying other drinks on the menu such as their smoothies. All in all I would definitely return and probably end up getting the same sandwich.
Stopped by Semicolon in Falls Church, VA for a quick bite. I got their Ube latte (with no espresso- not a fan of coffee) and this was so creamy and delicious. Had a nice coconut flavor to it. I also got the Bulgogi sandwich for which I'll give a 8/10. It was good but taste got overwhelming too quick. I don't know if it was because it was a bit salty. Nevertheless it was still good! The staff were nice and cafe was pretty cute!
I have been here a couple of times now, and I have to say every time that I came here the sandwiches are amazing. I've had different kinds, the bulgogi and the lox and they were all amazing. I got to also try the BELT as well and as it's so simple I thought you really can't go wrong going down that path. The service was pretty much self serve, even down to the ordering. There's 3 tablets where you can just order your food, and after that they'll let you know when your order is up. There's plenty of parking (and they validate) and seating. Inside is an your usual industrial/modern type of cafe. Semicolon is great though for drinks and also the sandwiches, but I can definitely vouch for the sandos. If you're not here for that, then I would definitely recommend you to add that to the list.
Love this place. The atmosphere is great for getting a drink and sandwich, then locking in and doing some work. On the other hand it is a great place to chat with another person or in a group setting. If you are a fan of corn, you musttt get the Sweekorn Cream! It is smooth, rich, and has the perfect subtle corn flavor, it's also not too sweet. If you're looking for something on the sweeter side, the Biscoff Cream Latte is perfect and decadent. The sandwiches are loaded and very filling, just on the messy side when you dig in and eat. Favorites are the Chicken Sandwich and ultimately the Bulgogi Sandwich. Definitely give it a try!
This place has easy parking and is easy to find. The service is fast and friendly. You place your order at the kiosk and wait for your name to be called. The cafe is small but has enough space to sit with a friend and chat or grab a window seat to eat/drink and people watch. I have visited twice and had the same two items each time. The biscoff iced coffee and the bulgogi egg sandwich. Yum! The bread is soft and perfectly toasted and the biscoff cold cream MAKES the drink. I will continue to visit again and again!
This is a really bright and spacious cafe with free wifi. The area seems to be up and coming, "Founders Row", with other restaurants and shops getting built. Free parking in the parking garage. There are instructions how to validate parking in the garage and in stores, and once we were at Semicolon cafe, there was a QR code to scan that validated our parking, which made our parking free. This cafe has kiosks to order food and drinks. Can also order at the cash register. I really like Semicolon's sandwiches. I felt full after; the drinks were also yum; the flavored lattes are true to the flavor while still having a strong coffee taste. I'd recommend!
The Korean style egg sandwiches here are to die for. If you can only try one, pick the bulgogi! The sweet thinly sliced beef goes incredibly well with the fluffy egg, veggies, and buttery brioche bread. They top it off with a squiggle of some kind of aioli that just takes it to the next level. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. Espresso drinks are just as impressive. They use La Colombe beans. Note that cappuccinos (and lattes, I would assume) come in pretty large mugs. This was perfect for two people to share.
I was so sad when Semicolon closed in Chantilly; and was super excited to know that they re-opened in Falls Church. Their shop is small and cutesy, it's perfect for that "coffee date" feel or "studying + coffee" vibes. They have a large parking garage next to them; the 1st hour is free and then after that it's about $1 every hour. I'm not sure if Semicolon offers discounts/validated parking but the cost isnt too bad. I ordered their SweetCorn Latte and the Chicken Sandwich. SweetCorn Latte: 4/5 - although it was so yum, it was def too sweet for me. (it tastes a lot like buttered popcorn) Chicken Sandwich: 4/5 - it's a korean grilled chicken sandwich with onions, lettuce and sauce. It's super saucy, so I would recommend sauce on the side if you don't like your sandwich drenched and your hands sauced! (I do think that their sandwiches used to taste better back when it was in Tilly's Kitchen. I just felt like it was missing something. ) Bulgogi Sandwich: 5/5 - i think it was so tasty and it was suuuper saucy as well; it was so saucy that the bread started falling apart. I can't wait to go back to try their baked goods and other sandwiches!
Popping in on a Saturday morning around 10 am for coffee, the wait wasn't bad. You order from an iPad and within five minutes, my pistachio latte was ready. It was full of flavor and sweet. I'd order it again! The inside has plenty of seats and tables. There's WiFi and two hours free parking in the garage.
The food and drink were all delish! Overall, I would totally come back but it is relatively more expensive. Biscoff latte: the tiny cup for $9? Quite crazy. I expected at least a slightly bigger cup. It tasted great, wish there were an option for a larger size when ordering... unless I missed it. I loved the flavor though, rich and creamy. Not too sweet BELT Sandwich: yum yum yum! Looks just like the photo! The sauce was so good and the bread buttery and toasted. Aesthetic af sandwich. The bacon, lettuce, tomato, and egg with corn in the egg was just so perfectly made. I think it was $12? All their sandwiches go from $11-13. Ambience: great place to catch up! Music was not too loud. We tried the lox and bulgogi sandos. Both were great and very flavorful, and the bread was nice and fluffy. The bulgogi was a bit messy since the marinade/sauce tends to leak, but still delicious. Parking is available in a deck across the street and is validated. Just follow the instructions in the parking deck and the signs on the wall inside the restaurant.
Delivery review ahead I was craving a really good breakfast sandwich and this place delivered just that! When I talk about quality sandwiches, Semicolon cafe wins! The packaging was handled with care so both of my sandwiches arrived nice and hot. I ordered the B.E.L.T and a grilled cheese. The B.E.L.T was a conversation starter, the bread was buttery and smooth-melts right in your mouth after each bite. The egg with corn, never tried that combo but honey, it was fantastic!!!! The bacon was quite generous and prepared with the perfect crisp and the lettuce and tomatoes were fresh, complementing the sandwich. The sauce on top was a shining star! So much flavor spread evenly throughout the sandwich. My boyfriend loved his grilled cheese sandwich which came with bacon and spinach. Definitely glad that I found this place! I'll order again and this time I want to try their lattes. read more

Semicolon is a great spot for Korean coffee! This was our second visit and it doesn't dissapoint. We got the tiramisu lattes again, and pro tip: you can ask for less sweet, which we didn't know the first time around and definitely recommend if you're not a fan of overly sweet drinks. Their Korean style sandwiches on that soft, fluffy bread are amazing. Highly recommend the bulgogi and the BLT, both packed with flavor and generously stuffed. The presentation is adorable too, served in these cute little boxes that make it feel extra special. The space itself has a really cute, modern aesthetic. Clean white tones, nice lighting, and a cozy chic vibe. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends or get some work done. Will definitely be back again! read more
A lovely spot! It was extremely spacious and the staff were so friendly! They had a power outage when I got there, which wasn't their fault at all, the staff handled it really well and let me hang out and get work done at the shop until they got power back and I was able to place my order. The biscoff latte was delicious and the cream topping was to die for!! I'll definitely be back to try their famous egg sandwiches! read more

Great coffee, great breakfast. Ample seating inside for parties of 4 or more. You can order everything at the kiosk and they call your name to pick it up from the counter. They also offer free 2 hour parking if you park at Founders Row parking garage. read more

Cute cafe with good working space. Was disappointed they didn't have matcha, so went for the Ube latte which was offensively sweet. The avocado sandwich was decent but for the price, could do better. Prefer other cafes in the neighborhood. read more

Overall, 3.5/5 but will bump it to a 4/5. I've been to Semicolon twice already, but waited until after my second visit before writing a review. The interior is pretty spacious and clean, and I didn't have an issue finding a table to sit at both times. They're known for their Korean-inspired brioche sandwiches and cafe drinks. I stopped by the first time a few weeks ago with a few friends to try some of their drinks. I got the SWEEKORN LATTE (7) and thought the corn-flavored syrup was overly sweet and tasted artificial. There was probably more whipped cream than there was espresso, and I didn't end up finishing my drink. The three of us all got something vastly different -- smoothie, ade, and specialty latte -- but we didn't really like our drinks. Initially, I was ready to rate our experience a 2/5. I came back yesterday morning with a different friend and we shared a BULGOGI SANDWICH (12) which was delicious. There was a lot of bulgogi, which had a savory and sweet marinade that went well with the fluffy scrambled egg and corn mix, grilled onions, and juicy tomato slices. The brioche bun was soft. The sandwich is a bit expensive for the size, but I really enjoyed it. I recommend the bulgogi sandwiches at Semicolon, but not the drinks. I'm inclined to come back for one of these sandwiches again in the future. read more
Located within the Founders Row complex right next to Roll Play. This is a great place to sit with a computer to work or to catch-up with friends! There are many snack options from pastries, cakes, and macaroons! It ca be a little pricey, but it was very tasty. The service was friendly and helpful with recommendations. We opted for macaroons and a cake to celebrate a special occasion, which everyone really enjoyed! Parking is in the garage of the complex. A must return for us. Enjoy! read more
So happy Semicolon has a brick and mortar location. They used to have a stand in a food hall in Chantilly but now have a nice spot in Falls Church! I ordered this corn latte that was the most yummy latte I've had. I love corn, and if you love corn, you will love this! It's a treat! Their egg sandwiches are amazing!! This is what brings people here. I always get the bulgogi egg sando. The bulgogi is juicy and tender, the bread is soft and fluffy, it's a perfect sandwich! read more
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. From the clean space to the self-order option to the very fast delivery time, I thought Semicolon Cafe is the epitome of fast and great service within the cafe space. I don't find Bingsoo as an option within the DMV pretty often, so I had to try it. I would 1000% order this item again as I thought the ingredients + size of my order was a great value. I would recommend folks to come by here when they can, and try the other food/drink items too! read more

A very cute cafe with plenty of open modern seating. The display cases had beautiful assortment of pastries and desserts. During the weekend we visted they had a collab with the Duo and got to enjoy their strawberry matcha (9/10) Otherwise Semicolon got to try an iced mocha latte which was quite good (8/10) and the bacon egg sandwich ( 7/10). Wished the sandwich had less sauce as it overwhelmed the other ingredients. Overall the service was very self explanatory ( iPAD kiosk), therefore not much can be said about the human service. I'd return but not sure this is the place for me to study/work, there is too many distractions! read more
Semicolon is ok, their hot drinks are too rambunctious as the flavors don't meet the name. However, i absolutely cannot get over how delicious their corn latte is. Served cold, i always add a 2 shots of espresso to it, and the corn is still alert and alive. Their sandwiches are so cute, but basic and very expensive. I've had a couple different ones, and still couldn't find one i like. The desserts are yummy! So star for that, haven't found one i did not enjoy. The service? That's where the stars go up, they are so friendly! I love that 2 of them always remember my order. Give it a shot if you are ever in the founder's row area! read more

I visited this cafe for a lunch date because I've heard positive things about their sandwiches, which did not disappoint. The bulgogi sandwiches were very flavorful, and presented well. I also ordered the mango lemonade, which was just alright. Relatively small sandwich menu, but with lots of customization which is great! I do wish that the self-service stall had clearly highlighted major allergens. My partner has a nut allergy, so it was a bit confusing trying to figure out the exact ingredients of certain desserts. The interior was very cute with the curved seating, but might feel a bit awkward during a crowded day or if you have a larger group--it feels awkwardly close to other patrons. Overall, a nice cafe if you happen to be in the Founders Row area! read more

Just catching up with my reviews, since I went to this location's grand opening just because we were going to the theater in front of the cafe! I've been always curious to try, since the Japanese style milk bread sandos look so adorable and inviting on social media. I tried their smoked salmon one, which comes with all the veggies and soft scrambled egg, the bread was perfection, lightly toasted that kept the pillowy milk bread texture but provided a little crunch! The mayo (which I think is just kewpie) helps tying all the other ingredients together. The service was fast, even on the grand opening with people crowding and waiting to be served, which came really handy since we had to go back to catch up with our movie. Definitely will come back when I'm watching another movie and maybe try one of their bingsoos too! read more
This is my second day visit (I went; first time visit yesterday) here at Semicolon Cafe and I had to come back. It's now my go-to Breakfast Cafe hangout after dropping the kids off to school. They're actually open as early as 7:00 A.M. on weekDAYs which works for on-the-go parents like myself.. Yesterday I ordered the Bulgogi sandwich and today the Spicy Chicken and both are worth the order... slightly pricey for $12 and of course I customized and added the extra sauces (just $0.50 cents more). I love the Crème Brûlée macaroons so much that I had to stop by again and bought them with the very delish Cheese Egg Tart. Now I'm full. I also tried the Iced Chai Tea latte (w/ Caramel syrup which is much better than Starbucks!) Of course I'm coming back here at Semicolon Cafe. I enjoy the outdoor stage/ splash park seating area as well. read more

I came here to cash in on my free smoothie card I won from their soft opening day! I also wanted a separate sweet treat so I got the raspberries and cream for there and the smoothie as my to-go treat. The total for the sweet treat was $7.70. I thought it was a bit on the smaller side for it to have been almost $8 and I would've wished for a bit more of the raspberry in it but overall, I loved the topping and thought the raspberry tasted really good! Spongey and fresh. The service was fast and friendly! I loved sitting by the window and just watching the people go by before I headed out to do some work at a different location. I love coming here and I'll definitely be back! Last time I had their banana pudding and it was SOOO good! Definitely worth it. I also had one of their hibiscus lemonades and that was pretty good as well! Check them out! They also validate parking for anywhere between 20 minutes to two hours! read more
A friend of mine told me about this new little coffee shop and I was quite excited to try it. Parking was relatively easy to find and the cafe is located within a little garden square ( which is absolutely beautiful by the way). You can order at the counter or you can order using a kiosk ( iPad) when you walk in the front door. I like to chat away so I always prefer ordering from a person. I had the avocado sandwich and a latte. I appreciate that they offer a skim milk option as I do not do full cream. The coffee was absolutely delicious and the sandwich was ok. I mean nothing to write home about. It hits the spot and has all the yummy things - avocado and egg. There is seating inside the cafe and outside the cafe. There is free WiFi and it's such a pretty place to chill. The outdoor area is really nice as its faces a garden with a water "fountain" . I dropped a star because the service isn't the friendliest and the tables were quite dirty. I cleaned it myself. It would also be nice if they could offer a water station if you need a glass of water. read more
Was influenced by TikTok and came out here to meet a friend for lunch. Ordering was super easy on the kiosks and there was a decent amount of people there for a weekday but we easily found seats. The tiramisu latte was soooooo good. Sweet but the coffee flavor was delicious. Split two sandwiches-the chicken and the bulgogi. Both were really good but definitely liked the bulgogi more. So thrilled that they moved this from Chantilly to Falls Church in Founder's Row! Big space to work, study, and hang out. You can order at the kiosk at front or with a cashier at the counter. The sandwiches are even better than I remembered! All were so flavorful and filling. We tried chicken, bulgogi, and avocado and all of them hit in different ways. We also got to try the tiramisu latte and sweet corn latte. Both were fun sweet delicious drinks. read more

Seasonal beverages and macarons with unique flavors! I have not seen a creme brulee macaron before, it paired very well with my coffee, not too sweet. The service is straightforward and fast, they made my coffee beautifully. This would be a great spot to work, there is wifi and parking is right next to the cafe. The ambiance is so cozy, lit up with natural light from the tall windows. A very comforting cafe indeed, I heard they have nice sandwiches too but did not get to try. read more

Cute coffee shop with a counter and digital menu ordering at the front. It's modern with k-pop music and excellent coffee, sandwiches and sweets. Service could have been better, especially when there's a crowd by the door. It's cold outside and we can't come in or line up because it's like 7-8 blocking the entrance while trying to order. Oh but there's a counter? yes, yes there is, but the staff there don't take your order lol We also had a beef bulgogi sandwich that was very good. Cute presentation and had egg in it. Some of our coffees came in disposable cups and some in proper cups--this i find confusing. Some consistency in presentation would've been preferable. read more
I've been wanting to try Semicolon since seeing posts about their store in Chantilly but never made the drive so i'm happy for their move to Falls Church at Founder's Row as it is closer to my area. They are still in their soft opening stage. Ordering is very convenient with self service screens located right when you walk in the front door. Plenty of seating and tables inside with also seating outside. I can't really say much about service since my only interaction is when I pick up my order but the staff all seem friendly and it is fairly quiet in the cafe. As for the food and drink- I was most excited to try their sandwiches but just a little bit underwhelmed. I tried their bulgogi sandwich and their brioche bun makes their sandwiches stand out but for $12 i'm not sure if i'd return just for the sandwich. The drinks are great tho! Their specialty drinks are unique. The Tiramisu Latte is very good as other reviewers have said. The Sweet Corn Latte tastes like light creamed corn. I was intrigued and afraid I wouldn't like it but it is refreshing. Second time here. I didn't notice the first time, but this time I noticed how obnoxious the tipping is. The iPads to take orders weren't unlocked yet, so I ordered at the counter. When it came time to pay the minimum tip was 18% and I got a menacing look from the cashier as she waited for me to tap the tip. This is a spot where you get your own order and bus your own table. I tried the seasonal ube cream latte and margherita pizza pastry and they were both delicious! Quick and friendly service with a large amount of seating inside and not crowded so you can definitely stay to get some work done. They validate parking for two hours in the deck but you can also park in a nearby neighborhood and walk over! read more

I've been wanting to try this place because I read all the great reviews, and it was definitely worth the hype. In a cute area with tons of windows and natural light, it's the perfect place to stay a while or grab a quick bite. I'm personally happy that there are more Korean influenced food stores in this area. I placed a large order of 12 sandwiches and they were prepared with great care in a reasonable amount of time. Bulgogi was especially delicious. There's also 15 minute parking right next to the restaurant for a quick pick up. read more
