I don't know what type of hex is in this ABC sandwich but it is divine. It isn't one of the nation's best sandwiches for nothing. I highly suggest eating this in one sitting as the flavor isn't the same as leftovers. That's all I can really say lol. The food is cooked fresh to order and it is a large portion so this will probably be the only thing you eat that day. The location is a little hole in the wall and has like two seats on the inside but additional seating outdoors if you want to sit and enjoy your food on location. While we were waiting for our sandwiches a lady came and picked up a big order of fried chicken, obviously for a party or large gathering and I will say it smelled divine---maybe I should try that for my party contributions, lol. All in all please go visit. Service is courteous but do not be in a rush because again-the food is cooked to order.

Really good Taiwanese fried chicken at huge portions and friendly portions! We got two of their ABC Taiwanese fried chicken sandwiches which came with fries, and I also ordered a papaya milkshake. The milkshake was really good!! Creamy and sweet with papaya flavor, a Taiwanese classic! For the fried chicken, the chicken was LARGE and outsized the bread by a good amount. It was super crunchy yet really moist on the inside, and the crisp on the outside was really nice. It was well seasoned as well! I would say we preferred maybe getting more slaw/ a tender instead of a sandwich, as the bread and slaw were smaller in proportion to the chicken. The fries and the sauce were delicious!! I would get an extra serving of fries. For $13 or so dollars, a really great price for really good food! There is limited seating indoors, and a nice outdoor seating with plastic covering for a bit of protection from the elements. Cashiers were kind but it is mostly self serve, but they bring the food out to you. Should you need anything, they have it inside, including hand wipes!! Definitely returning and see a lot of people coming, this spot is definitely a favorite!!!

Everything was super good! The slaw was generously dressed and perfect with the mango habenero sauce on the ABC, just like the friendly, patient and helpful employee said. She knew just what to say. The Jolly Rancher was our favorite over all. We also ordered the exotic fries, they came out hot, perfectly crisp and seasoned perfectly. Drinks stood out too as a must order, the iced Chai tea latte was good for sure, the iced ginger honey was even better and the best was the iced strawberry matcha laatte.

So I can get my list for a while. You come and it's more sandwich spot than coffee spot but that's okay. It's not big at all but at the same time there are some spaces to be able to sit and eat (a couple indoor and a few outdoor). The service was good ... My first time going the person at the register was very patient and explained the items to me. It's not like there are that many but still lol. Abc chicken sandwich (combo) - So the combo comes with fries and a drink. The drink is not a fountain drink, but the drink is a bottled drink in the cooler. The fries are heavily seasoned to near perfection. They are crispy and seasoned and you don't even really need ketchup on them if you don't want. It comes with a sauce, I really wasn't sure what it was so I really can't give you the exact description of it but it wasn't bad but I rather prefer ketchup if I was going to probably take up the fries but the fries were good on their own! Now this chicken sandwich is going to have you looking at it sideways! It was perfectly crispy, sauce was on there. Spread very intensefully, the bun was soft and not overly hard or anything like that. The sandwich was spicy and had a hell of a lot of flavor to it! It was a really good sandwich! It was basically too much for the bun. The cutlet that they use was falling out of the bun and that made it even better! It came with pickles on the bottom of it where the sauce was as far as the positioning of that and the bun. So just keep that in mind. But this sandwich was absolutely awesome. I want to note that the sandwich comes as fried or grilled so I've had both. The fried one is actually good because of the savory mixed with the crunch. But if you want to not navigate the fried chicken because of oil or cholesterol, the grilled chicken is also really good as well. You throw the coleslaw on top of that, and you are golden! Diggity Dan bing - This is a crepe with eggs, cheese and bacon... Because you wouldn't know by the name LOL. So it's basically the crepes that are cut in half and served in a little box as the picture shows. They are thin as they should be, but I added bacon to mine which is only $2 more. But that made it extra savory. It was really good, I wouldn't say that you should get it as a main dish because you'll definitely be hungry, but it definitely had a good taste to it. Overall I see no flaw in this spot. It was super dope and I would and will go back again. The chicken sandwich was worth it! I got mine spicy so I had a little kick to it, they are definitely going to make me want to go back. Now. Just make sure you go back. Trying to go at a time where hopefully it won't be full as far as seating goes, but either way, the sandwich is worth it. It lives up to a lot of the hype!

This sandwich was good as hell!!! For yearsss the chicken caesar sandwich at Zaddy's has been my favorite sandwich in ATL and finally it has a rival! I ordered the Jolly Rancher sandwich (spicy) and a Dirty Chai Latte (hot). I ordered everything to go and it came out pretty quick. When I got home and finally bit into the sandwich I was in love at 1st bite. The chicken was perfectly crispy and well seasoned, the bacon perfect thickness & crisp, the slightly runny egg & avocado made the perfect sauce, and everything is encased in soft sesame buns. The whole thing is just dead on. And pretty filling. Great 1st visit!!

Saw this place on TikTok and to my surprise it was right down the street from where I was! Java Saga is a pretty small cafe & restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. This place is clearly very popular as every seat was taken, although there aren't many to begin with. I got the ABC sandwich combo that came with fries and a drink. I believe it was around $17. The sound was incredible. The chicken was large and well seasoned and came with some fresh slaw on the sandwich. The sandwich came apart probably due to the moistness of the sauce and slaw but I didn't care at that point. The fries are crinkle cut--pretty good and it comes with A LOT of fries! I'll definitely be back.

Inside Java Saga it's casual, with limited seating inside although there are also a few table outside. The food is great! I really enjoyed the flavor of the chicken and the seasoning on the fries, and when they say that some of their seasonings are spicy they mean it, which is also something I appreciate. The staff were super friendly and helpful in guiding us to the right selections.

I didn't really get the hype of this place. Quite honestly it's rather expensive. I think I spent over $20 for a sandwich and a drink. To their benefit, I made the sandwich look bigger than it was, but realistically it's about half the size of the chicken sandwiches at the advertise on their social media. So it's kinda manipulating a customer to think they're gonna get something more than they are. As far as the sandwich, it was OK. The chicken was hot and crispy, but kind of fell flat on the seasoning. The fries definitely needed a couple more minutes in the fryer. They were pretty soggy and lacked any salt. They had like some kind of ranch powder seasoning on them, but definitely no salt. Not sure I would really go back here again as it was just OK but certainly not worth the money or the drive

My third review of this place and let me just say - everyone absolutely needs to go there right now. When I first ate at Java Saga years ago, my sentiment was they were good tasting and unique but they were life changing. I now can proudly say that they are. If you're having a good day with beautiful weather, Java Saga can make it even better. If you're having a terrible day, Java Saga can make it seem not so bad. Let's talk food - all their menu items are tasty but here are the standouts to me. 1) The ABC - it's their chicken sandwich with their slaw. The sharp, sweet taste of the slaw contasts with the crispy, tangy chicken for a satisfying bite in every bite. 2) The Loaded Fries - I eat a lot of loaded fries and I think these might be the best in their presentation and taste. The fries are crinkle cut, perfectly crispy and do not get soggy. There is bae sauce and mango habenero sauce on them along with melted cheese and chopped bacon. The ratios of each are all pretty much perfect. Everytime I come, I upgrade my Exotic fries to these. I honestly can't not get them if I am here on location. 3) Eggcited Crossaint - I had this item today. It was the last item I had for menu completion and honestly I think this their best sandwich in a fantastic lineup. I got it with the bacon. The flaky, buttery, soft crossaint contrasted wonderfully with the cold egg salad and the hot thick bacon. It likely is going to my go-to when I stop in. Go. Go now. And then go again

4 for me and 5 for my husband so I'll round it up to 5! Ordered the ABC sandwich, chick bits (popcorn chicken), danbing (egg crepe), and lu rou fan (braised pork rice). I ordered online before they opened for 11:15am pick up. When I got there at 11:16 there was already a decent line for lunch but luckily my food was ready. The sandwich was very good - refreshing slaw and crispy yet juicy chicken. Huge piece of chicken too! Would definitely get this again. Popcorn chicken was exactly how we like it - with fried basil which some places don't add. The danbing was fried which is not what we are used to in Taiwan. It was good but just not as expected, but I guess this place is more fusion than traditional. Which leads to the lu rou fan. The fatty pork belly and flavor was just how my husband likes it. The quail eggs were different but glad there were a couple there. I didn't like the pickles - usually there are yellow radish pickles but these were American style pickles. My husband didn't mind though! Overall a great to-go spot (not much seating), reasonable prices, and will definitely return.

I've been here several times. I've tried their notorious BFC, chick bits, and some of their sandwiches. The notorious BFC is a huge chicken cutlet that I can eat for lunch and dinner (with rice). My partner looooves Java Saga's hot chocolate. It really taste like a hug in a cup. It taste like a homemade, simple, warm, perfect cup of chocolate. Honestly their food never fails me. And I can see Alvin takes pride in his work. He remembers his customers, not afraid to ask for feedback and listens to them. Also have you seen his Shop's Christmas decoration?! Only chicken sandwich I will eat. Cannot eat anyone else's after having Java Saga's. Just had the ABC fried chicken sandwich. The slaw on it was the best I've had, even better than my own. The chicken is fried just right and is perfectly tender. The slaw, sauce, the jalapeño cheese, and the pickles come together for a great flavorful, enjoyable experience. read more

Parking is awesome here. So many spots! Java Saga is a part of a strip that has other shops as well. I think the parking lot has like 2 entrances. As I write my review, Atlanta is going through a tad crazy time due to the Covid 19 virus, so - ordering/picking up food is a little different. Java Saga has 1 table outside with 4 chairs but plenty of just standing space near the walk up window. For me personally, I'm usually hangry when I arrive, so I eat my food while standing outside talking to the owner, Alvin. Haha. Alvin is super nice & very attentive. Food: Java Saga has a ton of great food, so I'm slowly exploring them all! For now, I've tried - Basic Chick Sandwich with Fries, TW Nuggets, Fried Lotus Chips, Bubble Tea, and Iced Coffee. The Basic Chick Sandwich is pretty massive. This alone filled me up! The added ingredients are very good & go well together. If you're sort of hungry, just eat half & take it home. My friend did tell me her reheated sandwich was just as good when she had it later on the day. Fries are sooooo good. Yum. Great portion too. These aren't like Mickey D's/BK's. Java Saga's fries are crunchy & zesty. It's one of those fries where you can just eat them without realizing, lol. The TW Nuggets are delicious and came out piping hot. They're not tiny either. Very tasty. My friends had the Fried Lotus Chips - they ate them all fairly quickly. Safe to say the Fried Lotus Chips were just as good as the fries. Can't really go wrong with this a side. The Bubble Tea - you can choose what type of milk. I think they had Almond, Regular, and ....2%? I tried the Almond Milk - yum. The boba was also firm but chewy. Cooked just right. My bf had the iced coffee (this or the Iced Americano) - he thoroughly enjoyed it! Each time we've stopped by, he's gotten it. read more

This is my second time ordering from Java Saga. The hubby was craving it today and kept talking about it. We got the Taiwanese hot chicken in Crypto. It is HOT. Definitely not for the weak of heart. The chicken was very crispy with tons of flavor. It was definitely enough for two people. Also, that green sauce that doesn't look spicy... it's spicy too! Alvin is very sweet and personable. It is definitely a one-man show so I give him major props! read more

As there are more of Taiwanese fried chicken establishments or Asian fried chicken style, there is usually a typical spot that one may go to every weekend to feel satiated from a long week. This place, however, if you have not tried this place one, you should probably feel FOMO. I tried the ABC chicken sandwich and the chicken nuggets and they both blow away any competitions out there including Chikfila. Sorry! It's juicy, flavorful served with savory fries and dipping sauce that'll leave an impression on you or a possible addiction. Definitely recommend this place and it will be a go to from now on. This place is so good! I love Taiwanese/Shanghainese fried chicken - I've been craving it ever since my trip there a few years back. Of course, there are places around that serve chicken like this but not with THIS flavor profile and intensity. This is the spice and flavor I've been missing and looking for. Friendly service, one of the guys actually came out and gave my dog a javachino (so nice!). I also got the Lu Rou Fan - yummy as well! Will be back again of course. read more

This spot is another one in the Prep "restaurant accelerator" area, where we've already tried a couple of joints and came away intrigued. In these pandemonium times, places like this are like a Krog street market but outdoors, so you can enjoy yourself with more peace of mind. The wifey is a big fan and supporter of all things Taiwanese, and I happen to love a fried chicken sandwich, that after she found this spot during her search, we decided to see if they were legit. We went a weekday lunch hour to take advantage of the outdoor seating and warm sun during these breezy months. Their storefront doesn't have much for seating, but if you walk around you'll find more agreeable outdoor seating. I got the ABC sandwich and wifey got another one. They were both $10 a pop just for the burger, the fries were an additional $4. The fried chicken piece was generously portioned, and it had slaw and their special sauce. The fries were a mix of fries and tots, randomly assorted. The seasoning consisted of bonito and some other herbs. The best part was the green sauce that came with it. Pretty darn good. The fried chicken sandwich was excellent, crispy, well seasoned, and enjoyable. Same for the fries. Wife agreed with the assessment. One demerit is the price. $14 for a sandwich and fries, not including a drink. Well over double what chains with respectable chicken sandwiches charge, but it was not doubly as good. Maybe 1.5 times as good. Aside from the high prices, the meal was very enjoyable and worth a treat once in a while. read more

I can't. I just can't. I am so grateful to live in a metro area with so many good food options. I was dropping off a sample for work to be profiled and used my trusty Yelp app to tell me where to go for lunch. I gave this place five stars for flavor profiles alone. I don't believe this is an establishment that you can dine in. I could care less to be honest. I'm no stranger to eating in my vehicle anyway. There were 2-3 tables in front of the takeout window if one wanted to sit there. I checked the menu before I arrived. I knew what I wanted. I rolled with the ABC and so glad I did. I did take the advice of other Yelpers and not order fries for the sheer fact others said the sandwich was massive and couldn't finish it. I myself didn't finish mine either and I don't give up easily . It was rather large. Next time I visit, I'm bringing my husband so we can split the sandwich and share the fries as they did look amazing. The dip they serve it with appeared appetizing as well. Back to the sandwich though. Chicken was hanging off all sides of the bun. Whatever it is battered in gave it a bit of sweetness. There was an apple type slaw they topped it with as well as. The jalapeño American cheese and boom boom sauce sent my tastebuds into outer space. I literally couldn't believe what I was tasting. The sweet and spicy played off one another like no other sandwich I have tasted. There was an option to request it to be grilled and I may try it that way next time. I believe it will be equally as good. That way I can validate the reasoning for fries read more

This place is a hidden gem! My wife told me about this place and we drove all the way from Charlotte to try it out and it didn't disappoint! The staffs/owners? Are super friendly and really patient with our order. The food? It was amazing. One of two best Taiwanese style chicken nuggets I have ever tried, another one is at Flushing NY and Java Saga might be just better. Made my first visit. I had the Chick Bits with Exotic Fries. Both were very tasty and well prepared. Also had a Taiwanese carbonated apple juice and enjoyed it. It's a tricky place to find--in the middle of an industrial park--even with a GPS navigator. But it's worth the effort. read more

I've had almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed me. Alvin is courteous and friendly. The food he makes is delicious and filling- just look at the size of the chicken sandwich! honestly this is the best food i've had since moving to atl a year ago. it's 100/10 the CUSTOMER SERVICE IS PERFECT. the food is EXTREMELY FLAVORFUL & BEAUTIFULLY PREPARED. Just a couple of good guys serving good drinks and Taiwanese styles foods out of a food truck. My brother and I had the Big ol' Chicken and were blown away. You cannot beat that kind of value for Taiwanese fried chicken for sure! Also, their mango drink is fresh and great! I'm not a coffee drinker, but thank goodness I discovered the chicken sandwich they have. It's outstanding. It comes with great spices, cheese and Cole slaw. The fries are great also. The owner said a couple weeks ago that the parking lot owners are doubling the price the trucks have to pay for food trucks Thursday, so he may have to stop coming. He mentioned possibly opening a location by Spaghetti Junction. Everyone go eat at this truck if you see it! read more

While I understand automatic tips for groups, it felt a bit high due to poor services. There are a lot of great dining spots in the area, but based on this disappointing visit, I'm sure I would not return to this one.
