I was watching a TikTok video about some actual street foods from Bangkok that were "must tries". Khao Soi was number 1 on the list and when I searched up a restaurant near me with that dish, Bangkok Street Food came up first and closest- plus there were only three that came up at all. I had us split a bowl of their Khao Soi and they were very accommodating with letting us use some smaller bowls to portion it out amongst ourselves. The soup was rich, creamy, coconutty, sweet, savory, and reminiscent of Japanese curry. It was like a fusion of Japanese and Thai curry. It was really delicious. The veggies were still crunchy cut and fresh. The fried noodles were in a ball, so they were difficult to portion, but I managed. The noodles in the soup were great- good springy texture and had soaked up some flavor from the curry soup. They also had 2 chicken legs in there. They had been cooked in the soup, so the meat was pretty tender and I was able to pull them apart with a spoon and chopsticks. The chicken skin was kinda "meh", but it wasn't chewy, so that was fine. There was still plenty of cartilage and stuff left on the chicken legs, so it had to have been cooked at a medium to high temperate rather than low and slow. I think that they could improve on the dish if they cooked those legs slow and low enough to completely render all the cartilage, but that's my personal take. Traditionally, you leave the bones in and cook it as they did. It was really delicious. We also had the chicken karaage with sesame dressing and salad greens- we ordered three of those! SO tender and juicy on the inside while staying nice and crispy outside. They drizzled them with teriyaki sauce, which I could've done without, and served them with a cup of spicy mayo. These were easily the best thing we had. We also got an order of takoyaki and an order of spring rolls. The spring rolls were nice and flaky and the takoyaki were piping hot inside with a couple of springy pieces of tako (octopus) inside. Both were good, but not amazing or anything. After having these, we ordered some Thai teas- 2 regular and one lime. The regulars were on point as usual. The lime Thai tea was refreshing and a nice balance of lime and sweet tea. We also ordered some dishes to go: the Thai basil chicken, a beef namtok, an order of drunken man noodles with beef, and an order of spicy pork noodle soup. The beef namtok didn't come with any rice, so I was a little disappointed with that, but I believe it's meant to have the beef wrapped in the cabbage leaf and eaten as is. It was definitely more expensive than it should be at $18.95. The drunken man noodles was a nice portion and the flavor was as expected. The Thai basil chicken came with jasmine rice and was the best portion AND price at $14.95. The spicy pork noodle soup was good and spicy, but it was heavy on the fish sauce, which made the aroma unpleasant. I wouldn't order that again. Overall, everything was really good and the place was decorated nicely. It's a small place, but they've got plenty of comfortable seating for about 5 groups. Definitely a place to add to your list of Thai "go-to's". Give them a shot! read more

If you're looking for authentic Thai flavors, Bangkok Street Food definitely delivers. I came in right after the lunch hour and was taken care of the moment I entered. There were about 10 other guests dining it's a smaller space that can probably accommodate around 20ish people, which gives it a more cozy and intimate feel. I ordered the shrimp tom yum and papaya salad and both were delicious. The papaya salad was especially on point... perfectly balanced, fresh, and full of flavor. You can really taste the authenticity in the food. Even a neighboring guest mentioned to the waiter that it tasted just like food from Thailand, which says a lot. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this spot if you're craving real, authentic Thai food. read more

I don't eat octopus, but they have an interesting appetizer if you're an octopus lover. Where this place shines is the service. I was asked in a great way about spice level. They have several. 10/5 experience. Absolutely incredible! We ordered the spicy chicken panang curry, medium chicken pad thai, mango sticky rice, and thai tea. The panang curry had a beautiful flavor that was rich with spices and heat. The mango sticky rice is to die for, delicious mangoes that are perfectly ripe, not to sweet or dense. Everything we ordered came out very fresh and super hot which was great. The restaurant itself is really cutely decorated with a beautiful mural and thai decor. TLDR: excellent food, great service My favorite Thai place since moving to Atlanta last year. The quality of the food and service are high and consistent. The menu and decor changed since the first time I came but it appears more streamlined and service remains great. Boat noodles are now available only as a special but still good when available. The khao soi is excellent and also only available as a special. All the other items are consistently good and reasonably priced. Bangkok Street Food is a relatively new restaurant in a popular shopping plaza in Brookhaven. My husband and I passed it numerous times, and we finally stopped in for a very late lunch one Saturday. We were the only patrons dining in, but I did see a lot of to go orders being placed. The host and server was very pleasant and made us feel welcomed. The inside of the restaurant was as very cozy and a perfect spot for a cute date. From The painted murals on the wall, to the relaxing cafe music, I loved the ambiance. For food, my husband and I ordered several dishes: we shared a Papaya Salad which was divine! For entrees, he ordered the Crab Fried Rice, and I ordered a Thai Noodle dish. Both were very good, but the Crab Fried Rice was some of the best I've had! It had so much lump crab meat and the flavor was so fresh. I hope this place stays around for a while, because it is a much needed addition to that area. We'll be back soon! read more

Loved this new Thai addition to the Chamblee area! The intimate setting was perfect for our family of four who tried a little bit of everything and nothing disappointed! The curry puffs were light and fluffy, and the pork gyoza dumplings were definitely made fresh in the back and came out nice and hot. Both the Thai fried rice with chicken and veggies and masaman curry with chicken were delightful with tons of flavor. Topped it off with a solid recommendation by our great server of the coconut ice cream which was surprisingly superb. Great and attentive service throughout. Bangkok Street Food is a small restaurant serving big flavors! I heard about this spot on a Facebook group for Asian food in Atlanta. It was being complimented by Thai people so I knew I had to check it out. It is located in a plaza so parking can be a hit or miss as there are a lot of shops and restaurants next door or nearby. Moreover, there are not a lot of tables inside due to the tiny space. However, there are beautiful graphics on the wall that gives it a kind of "street food" and "night market" vibe. The service was nice and our food came out quickly, but we were one of the only customers dining in. My friends and I got the Chicken Drunken Man Noodle, Tofu Pad Thai, and Green Curry with Tofu. Specifically, I got the Chicken Drunken Man Noodle at medium spice and it was delicious! The aroma that came from the dish delighted my tastebuds and the spice level was perfect for me. The noodles and chicken were very tender and coated well in the sauce. As for the other dishes, my friends enjoyed their food! I see that this place has mixed reviews, but I personally enjoyed my food. I would encourage people to give places like this a try! This might be my favorite spot for Thai food in Atlanta... at least for drunken noodles. read more

To each their own experience, but I loved everything about this place. With the reviews not being too stellar on here, I didn't have high expectations going in. The chicken pad Thai was very unique, and it's something I was pleasantly surprised about. It sort of reminded me of the one I had in Thailand. The noodles were of a different kind and had a unique flair that wasn't so cookie cutter feel from one Thai restaurant to another. This different noodle type made the ingredients meld together nicely. The nam tok beef wowed me along with the pad Thai. I'm usually whatever with beef dishes, but tasting this widened my eyes -- that wowing moment. It was super juicy, and flavorful. There was something on top of the beef that gave it a crystalized crunch and elevated the dish even more for me. The Thai papaya salad was surprisingly the spiciest but still very bearable as I can't withstand that much heat. But with this and most of other dishes being at a medium spicy level, it was tasty and flavorful without making you cry. Our friend said to definitely get this, and it did not disappoint. The chicken green curry at a medium spice level was decent to me. The hubs did like it, but he said another spot did it a little bit better. I thought the curry was a little watered down. The flavors were good, but it felt too weak and not strong in its flavor profile. I can say that I didn't try many things this time but what I did have was amazing the soup and the puffs were so flavorful. I love Thai food so I was very excited to try this place. I will be trying more things next time. I noticed a lot of people were getting takeout, but the inside of the restaurant is very cute. I love the decor even the plates and silverware were cute. Amazing food, ordered khao soi with steak and pad kee mao with half tofu / half veggies, spicy. Flavors for both were super good, the pad kee mao was spicy enough and the noodles were super chewy, lots of veggies and a ton of tofu. Khao soi's steak had a really good grilled flavor, really delicious. I enjoyed every moment of this meal! Came on a Sunday around 5PM, nobody was there except for us, has quite a few tables and the inside decoration was really nice. Good service too. You order your meal at the counter and then wait for your food to be delivered to your table. Most people come for Togo order or pickup their phone in / online orders. Fast casual type of vibes where you order at the counter and your food (even for dine in) comes in to go type of containers. Food/price: check in on Yelp and you get a free Thai milk tea . We decided to do a family style type of dinner so 6 adults shared: - Bangkok wings (6 for $6): appetizer of naked fried chicken wings tossed in thai sweet chili sauce. Reminds me of the sauce that you dip your egg rolls in. Personally it was a bit too sweet for me. - Thai grilled steak ($16): Thai-style grilled strip loin, served with spicy tamarind sauce. WOW, that was excellent. The steak had a nice smoky/char grilled smell and taste. The meat was cooked well and tender and the spicy tamarind sauce that came with it was great. Mix of sour, salty, and refreshing that balanced out the meat very well. Highly recommend! - Chicken panang curry ($14): bell peppers, green beans, lime leaves with rice. My husband usually hates curry but he actually really loved this. I thought the portion was big, the curry was smooth - I added chili flakes to it because I like it spicy. - Spicy drunken man noodles with beef ($16): I should have known that with all the bell peppers in it that I wasn't going to like it. This is all personal taste because I just don't like bell peppers in general. Don't think I can say anything in regards to recommending for how it tasted but it looked good! - Chicken pad thai ($14): pretty big portion size, and we got some bits of tofu in there which was nice. This was pretty solid! - Namtok beef ($15): northeastern-style grilled beef salad comes tossed in a sauce that I wasn't sure what it was but was good and refreshing. I've only eaten at this restaurant twice. I always get takeout because I can't resist how amazing their food is. I wish I lived closer, but I'm from Marietta; I'd probably be here every weekend, lol. We're adding this restaurant to our monthly rotation! We loved everything we ordered: (appetizers- vegetable curry puff, Thai spring rolls and tako yaki, spicy calamari). I especially loved the vegetable curry puffs!! Next, we ordered entrees: cashew prik pow with crispy chicken (this has sauteed onion, green/red peppers, pineapple, cashew and crispy chicken). This was my favorite. My husband and son also enjoyed the pepper steak. The dessert was unbelieveable: mango rice with fresh mango slices. The mango was perfect and the sticky rice was too. This was a wonderful Mother's day dinner. I'm not a vegetarian, but I like to try and only eat vegetables. Here, they have some tasty choices that don't have meat. The restaurant is family owned by a couple from Thailand who've worked at an area Thai restaurant for many years. Now they have their own restaurant and they are crushing it! Just had lunch - not from here but flat tire had me across street at tire store. Walked by here, opened door, small place - maybe seating for 25? One seat left, I take it and quickly notice that only myself and another woman sitting are the only ones not Thai or Asian.... So I'm thinking this is going to be good. Not bad, not great. I had some kind of beef salad, which the menu has reminded me was called Nam Tok beef. There wasn't much in it other than beef and red onions and some hard white flecks. Reasonably good, but I wouldn't order it again. My companion ordered Pas See Ew, which was average. They were kind enough to give me some seltzer water because their soda fountain no longer worked. We mostly came here because the MOD Pizza had closed permanently and the taco place next door had a long line. My dish came out to just under $20. Not a place to avoid but there are many other options nearby. read more

Drove by first and saw a sign in the window that said they open Monday at 11 am. Checked with Google and saw that their listed hours confirmed they open on Monday at 11 am. Came to have lunch at 11:25 am on Monday to find a CLOSED sign in the window right next to the lunch sign that says they open at 11 am. Bad look. But this shopping center in Chamblee is cursed with some of the worst restaurants in the Atlanta metro, so this is not surprising, and that's too bad. I was really stoked for a new spot.
