I visited this morning and had a prepaid wash membership. When I pulled up to the kiosk, the attendant was standing right there. I politely asked if he could select my prepaid wash option, and he told me he was not supposed to help customers with that. What made the interaction frustrating was that I had just watched him assist the vehicle directly in front of me at the kiosk. I completely understand if there is a policy limiting employee assistance, but policies should be applied consistently. The interaction left me feeling dismissed and was not the level of customer service I expected. I wanted to share the feedback so management is aware. read more

Lots of dirt leftover after their highest exterior wash. Was not worth the $40 (look at the pictures). It included a hand towel dry. The guy on one side did a decent job. The guy on the driver side acted like he didn't want to be there and waved me by. read more

I stopped at this Jax to get my inside cleaned. One of the workers slammed my door into their garbage can, and rather than move the can used my door to force it out the way! He then argued with me after pointing it out. The manager tried to quiet him but ultimately had to reprimand him and when reprimanded got mad and slammed my truck door! I'll NEVER go back. How disappointing . I pay $55/mo to get unlimited carwashes interior and exterior . For that I have the privilege of sitting in line for 30 minutes behind others who are shelling out the same . All while the people in the other two lines paying for one wash (exterior only ) have gone through the line in 5 minutes . It is literally insane . They are understaffed and have just frankly become so greedy that they clearly don't care any more . This is why I almost never use my membership . I could go to a movie in the theatre for the same time it will take me to get through this . It's infuriating . Clearly , time to cancel . Jax definition of full-service is far from full. It involves only vacuuming, making minimal effort on the floor mats, and a cursory wipe down of some surfaces. "All" this for close to $50 and you have to buy a membership - that I am cancelling momentarily. read more

Decent chain car wash, usually get in and out pretty quick even when they're busy. Membership is a good deal but if you don't sign up for it know that the guys will pitch it to you every. Single. Time. and can be pretty pushy. We have it on my husband's truck and not my car and it has been a bit annoying to be pestered every time I bring my car. My roof rack was ripped off the vehicle causing $8,000 in damage. The only reason this happened is because the worker punching in the code to start the system didn't do it properly for a vehicle with a roof rack. They said, "sorry, it was our mistake, but we are not covering it." We'll see about that. This company was bought by a private equity firm ... and it's been down hill ever since. As they so clearly say, "use at your own risk." BTW they also have the worst rating possible from the BBB. read more

I have a membership and usually go to a different location where I'm satisfied. The Royal Oak location is not good. They don't bother to look at the receipt you place in the windshield and just generically push the basic wash. I didn't get any of the extras that I pay for in my membership. I can tell because the extra application lights did not turn on. Also they are not thorough with pre-rinsing before entering the car wash. Won't be back. read more

I am pretty certain I have done a review at this Jax before. Did they remove it? Stopped by since we have a monthly membership. It's reasonably priced and does an average wash here, not an immaculate wash at all. The monthly membership is about $21 or so a month for an exterior wash only. An extra $16 if you want the inside detailed. They use a triple foam to clean the car. Windshield doesn't look much cleaner than when I arrived. It's busy, but it's a Saturday afternoon. read more

The carwash itself is not bad; however, their "vacation hold" is a scam, and you'll get charged anyways. I was charged $100, after being told I wouldn't. Then customer service does little to support. I've been an Unlimited club member for years and have been satisfied with the service. On one occasion on March 18, 2025 the car wash damaged my side mirror. They ask me to get an estimate (which I did) then they told me there was no malfunction in the equipment. My Truck didn't break my mirror. How ridiculous is that statement. Then they told me my Truck is over 7 years old so, tough luck. So if you have a vehicle that gets damaged they will screw you. read more

So...the new Jax Kar Wash at 26 mile Rd and Romeo plank is less than to be desired. They almost (on purpose and complaint was made with no resolve) peeled off my OSU sticker. And the "towel dry" service is less than expected and nothing that company should brag about (white glove my ass). Today the kid literally refused to wipe my truck and the SUV in front of me ....just waved us by. When they do "dry" it's half ass. I pay good money, hard earned money for the unlimited service. When my car was new, I decided to buy the UNLIMITED PLAN. I have a dog that I travel with frequently, so hair in the car tends to be an issue. I have been so happy with the plan. I was in desperate need of a car wash so I decided to try this place out as it is right across the street from my house and always looks busy (must be a good sign, right?). Since it was my first time there I just got the cheapest, basic wash. It seemed good. There was a line of workers at the end to towel dry areas of your car off. When I got home (literally right across the street not even 2 minutes) I got out of the car and realized the entire lower drivers side was still covered in dirt and looked like nothing had touched it. I looked at my receipt and it says they will fix any problems if you find any before you leave. I was already gone so I knew nothing was going to be done. Just weird to me to think I will have to get out of my car next time and inspect everything while holding up the line just to make sure it is actually cleaned :/ probably won't be going back. read more

If I could leave zero stars I would. I have never been so disrespected by an employee in my life. I got verbally accosted in the line for the car wash by the employee when I was literally doing exactly as he instructed me to. It was so inappropriate and no one deserves to be treated this way. I've been coming here for a few months. Come early on a Saturday or you will be waiting a few minutes. The vacuums are free if you're getting a car wash - just be courteous! The vacuums are conveniently placed to be in each side of the car with really long hoses, plus a place to clip your matts! Car was has a variety of options- up to an including unlimited washes and full detailing (which I haven't done). I find the "19" to be a good value for me because I do this once a month or so. I have been coming to your Royal Oak location on Woodward and 11 mile for over 20 years! The reason I have been coming this long is because of the people!! And only the people!!! Anybody can wash a car!!! The guys outside who greet you make sure you are taken care of every time!!! They truly goes out of there way each snd every time. I'm there almost 4-5 weekly. I go here every year on my birthday, for my free wash. They have really stepped up their quality on the interior cleaning. They used to slack, and when you're getting a free wash, how can you really complain. I bought a Detail package here, once, and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the job. Stopped by to get my car detailed without having an appointment. Vincent was so friendly and amazing with the questions I had and cost of the service. Instead of waiting around, I came prepared and had a friend follow me/pick me up. Dropped my car off around 12:30pm and received a call at 2 letting me know my car was ready to be picked up. I believe I wrote a review of this location a while back and my review was kind of negative. Based on my most recent few visits here, they seem to have improved what was wrong. Previously they would talk rudely to me if I didn't put my car in neutral at the right time. They are Very polite about it now. Secondly, they would aggressively sell me on the unlimited package and they would talk a hundred miles per hour and rush me to make a decision. Now, they just present it normally and I don't feel like I'm just a number to them. Jax, good job on improving my overall experience. I'll be back. My favorite location of all the locations. They will clean it inside and out $55 a month. They do a fantastic job!! You can't beat that value!!! I recommended tipping it shows you appreciate all the labor they put into your car at least a few bucks. They know and remember when you come back so don't be cheap. I think all the people complaining on here were trying to pull a fat one or something dumb like that. I've been coming here for over a year. I had one problem and that's why I found out about the cameras. If you have a problem here go directly to the management they will take care of you. Trust me. They do have a high turnoff or workers it's typical for this type of business but some guys have been here for many years. And that shows it's a good company that takes care of there employees. I had no idea they have over 30 cameras through out the carwash in high definition as well. And can go back a while and see every step of your car so if you think something happened that was not right they can pull it up. The management is super helpful and eager to please. read more
