Just got my 2019 Audi A6 detailed with the Silver Package at Motor City Auto Spa. I'm really picky about how my car looks and they absolutely nailed it. As someone extremely meticulous about car maintenance, I have high standards. They delivered flawless work - exceptional wax job, every door frame and crevice meticulously cleaned, and the interior looks amazing. They even got out a makeup stain around the mirror that I was sure was permanent - seriously impressive. It rained while I drove home and watching the water bead on the hydrophobic coating was beautiful! My car looks like new. Thanks guys! --- I had high hopes after doing my research for a local detailer super close to home that i could rely on for regular service. So, I opted for the complete silver package ($369) as well as engine bay cleaning which is $40 extra. By the time I picked up the vehicle it was completely dark outside so i drove home and parked it in the garage in order to inspect it in the morning. The silver package may as well be called tin copper or aluminum package because my car had hard water drops dried on the side mirrors, leaves, dust, and debris still in many areas of the door and trunk jambs, dried wax/sealant left on edges of paint protection film, and water was still dripping from the tail lamps onto the rear bumper. I thought a shop like this would at least have a compressed air sprayer to blast out excess water before drying. Also it didn't seem like anyone touched the entire rear spoiler as well as the rear diffuser and exhaust tips. The spoiler still had old wax, tar, grime on it and the diffuser and exhaust still had a thick layer of dust/ debris on it. Im not sure I want to take off the license plate and see whats behind it. Based on what im seeing from previous reviews, leftover dust and grime seem to be a reoccurring problem.. Lastly, I was hoping the $40 engine cleaning option would be a noticeable improvement but it just appeared that someone wiped the biggest surfaces with a glossy spray and called it a day. There was still significant grime and dirt on the most accessible and obvious areas. Clearly there's different package tiers, but if the Gold package adds extra polishing steps, fabric protection, and windshield treatment, it doesnt really address the initial quality control of the silver package. Overall, wife is disappointed and im left $409 lighter. Two stars for at least the friendly customer service and cleaner interior. read more

Love this place, they always take great care of my car. I don't have a way to hand wash my car so they were the first ones I took my Audi to. Since then the relationship has grown into car washes, ceramic coating, clear bra's on various places, paint correction, etc. Prices are a bit high but I can't complain because of the quality of work and how much I appreciate them taking care of my car when I have to leave it over night. If you have a luxury car or any car in general, I highly recommend them in the Metro Detroit area. Kudos to Colin and team on the Delemere location. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. I took my jeep in for interior detailing. I dropped it off as soon as they opened and they called me at 1200 saying I could come after 1pm to pick up. Thankfully it was a Saturday so I had my wife take me there and pick me up. They were very reasonably priced and they got it back to me in a timely fashion. The car when I picked it up smelt brand new. Everything was so clean! There was tons of dog hair, dog puke, dry food and drinks spilt everywhere. It was all gone. I'm so impressed with them and I will definitely be going back and recommending this place to anyone I know! read more

Brought my 2021 GT500 in for detailing and was highly disappointed that my car was brought out to me covered in dust, rims were still dirty, the back window was very steaky, and interior gauges were cloudy from whatever cleaner they were using. Yes, they took care of things, but why did I have to point out what should have already been done? For the amount of money they are charging, internal inspections should have been done before bringing a car to the customer. Honestly, I don't think they cared enough just by the action of bringing out a car that doesn't meet the expectations based on their motto. 1st and last time I visit here. read more

Got the Interior Spa package on 11/28/23. When I called to book the serivce I spoke with Jeff at the Delemere location. He was super friendly and informative. The day before our appointment I received a reminder call, the woman who called also very friendly and answered my questions about dropping car off before they open. I did call after they opened to make sure they found the car as we had to park across the street. Got Jeff again, he said yep all was good and underway. Told me he'd check in mid-day with an update. He called me around 2p to say all was good, it was drying, he'd checked it himself and stains I was concerned with all came out perfect! We picked it up, paid and the car interior looked showroom new! I've been recommending them to everyone since then! read more

Silver package scam alert! They talk the talk, but my car was rushed through, was missing a piece, and was still dirty when I picked it up. Who misses a huge spot of bird shit on the roof? Motor city auto blah, that's who. Who said they were going to condition the leather and didn't? Motor city auto faux pas, that's who. Who charged me $100 to clean the interior and all they did was vacuum and clean the floor mats? Motor city auto blah blah blah! There are a few more issues, but that should do. I had high expectations for the place. I had done my research and this seemed to be the place I wanted to take my car. Well was I disappointed. They are seriously lacking in customer service. I had been told to jet touch up paint which I did with, but it was never used. The mark on my car is still there. No one went over my car with me when I picked up my car. They told me where it was sitting. I drove off and noticed that some things hadn't been cleaned, I took it back and they corrected what I pointed out. Later I noticed that the tinting that I had gotten on one window was smudged and there was something white on my inside door handle. I know I should have went back again but I didn't have it in me. read more

I just picked up my 2010 Infiniti G37S. It had surface scratches in several places. The detailing was done by Mario at their Delemere location. The car is now absolutely perfect, better than when I picked it up from the showroom 13 years ago. Small extras were performed, and they were certainly appreciated. Since rain was forecast at pickup time, they generously kept the car overnight, so I could drive it home and appreciate it's perfection in dry weather. I had contact with several personnel at MCAS, and everyone was extremely polite and concerned with my satisfaction. You would be hard pressed, in this day and age, to find a better staff anywhere. The owner Matt and his staff did a great job getting a TERRIBLE smell out from a fajita tray that spilled through my leather seat. He kept it as long as needed, (4 days) while using anti-microbial chemicals and turbo fans to aid in killing the bacteria and scent growing in my Ford Explorer seat. I bought my car after searching for months for the right one. After picking it up and discovering how dirty it was on the inside I was immediately disappointed. I knew that cleaning it was something that I didn't really want to do, so, I wanted to spend the money and have it professionally detailed. After doing extensive research and reading a lot of reviews, I came to the conclusion that Motor City Auto Spa would provide the best level of service and attention to detail to get my car looking new again. I soon found out how wrong I was about this assumption. After picking it up the first time, I was thoroughly disappointed in the lack of detail that my car received. There were major things not even touched or cleaned. The seat belts were grimy, the buckles still had dirt and grime in them, the map lights had sticky stuff on them, the visors were covered in grease, the radio knobs still had dirt in them, the glove box still had leaves in it, and a lot more. After discussing this with the 11 mile location manager, he suggested I bring it back in. It took them almost two weeks to get me back in, which was pretty annoying considering I just spent a bunch of money to have my car cleaned and it still wasn't clean. When I brought it back in, I created a list of areas that needed more attention so that they could understand what was still dirty. However, despite this, I can still say that areas of the car still have been missed. The door jams still have clay and debris in them. The passenger side buckle still has gunk in it, the dome light still has gunk on it, the headliner still has stains that I believe will come out as there was a stain originally on the headliner after the first detail that is no longer there. I also was upset at the fact that my seat belt was twisted around. It looked like someone took it off to clean it and didn't reinstall it correctly. I was told that the person who worked on my car wouldn't do that but that doesn't explain how it got twisted because when I brought it in there, it was straight. It took me 25 minutes to get the bolt out to fix it as it was cross threaded and the plastic cover that hides the bolt is now missing and it was there when I dropped it off. I didn't know I would have to take pics of every inch of my car before dropping it off to ensure it was all there when I picked it up. They also provided me a courtesy wash, which I appreciated, but whoever washed it left excess wax all over the outside. I spent a good 30 minutes when I got home wiping it off and it was a pain. The windshield also didn't look like it got washed as there was dirt and swirl marks all over it. Ultimately I would not recommend Motor City Auto Spa. They are not worth the premium price tag and do not provide a superior detail. I was thoroughly disappointed with my whole experience and believe a company like this should offer some sort of guarantee, as at this point, I just want my money back instead of having to deal with this headache any longer. Unless you have an expensive exotic car that doesn't get very dirty, don't expect to receive a top notch detail, as in my case, it seems like they just don't care. read more

I took my truck here to have it detailed so I could photograph it and put it up for sale. I took it here based on other Yelp reviews and because of the beautiful classic and exotic cars shown in the photos and reviews. It is a testament to the clientele and trust that people have in this establishment. I purchased the truck a year ago, used, from a dealership and thought it was pretty clean when I got it. Since then I've put 17,000 miles on it and never touched it aside from spraying it off a few times at the quarter wash. My dog goes to work with me every day, I used the truck outdoors, pulled tree stumps with it, delivered bricks with it, got it stuck in the mud, pulled heavy trailers, you name it. Aside from mechanical maintenance, I just drove it and worked it. Needless to say, I was very very pleased with the end result. It looks new, certainly not 15 years old after years of abuse and use. As soon as my wife saw it she tried to talk me out of selling it. Beautiful job and tailored to my needs. They did the interior, exterior and the engine compartment. The vehicle had NEVER been waxed and had dirt and various coffee stains all over (not to mention dog hair). I was very impressed with how great my vehicle looks now. I'm pretty obsessive about having a clean car and didn't think this vehicle would look that good. I brought in my 2010 Subaru Forester because it was given to me by my father-in-law and boy did he "live" in this car- it probably was never cleaned out the 4 years he owned it. Dirt and grime every where, but hey I got it for free, so who's complaining? They did an excellent job- got all of the stains out of the seats, floor, and yes, the ceiling! Every nook and cranny was cleaned out. I've taken another car to jax car wash and paid $40 for a crapy job- it was worth every penny of $139 to get this car cleaned. Beware! Your vehicle may return damaged! I left my vehicle with Matt at Motor City Auto Spa. Before paying over the phone, I asked if there were any issues with the complete package I purchased. I was told that everything went well. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The tire shine was blotchy - as though it was not wiped down. The front bumper looked no different from what I dropped off. Finally, the front passenger side air vent was damaged. I called and left a message to be contacted. Matt left me a message that this is a problem with Chrysler vehicles. Seemingly, he now remembered that there was an issue. When I returned the call and spoke with Matt, he claimed that "they found a piece on the floor and put it in my glove box" and also claimed that he wrote this on my invoice. Neither of these statements were true. He offered to try to fix it and suggested that I visit the dealership for assistance. This is not the experience I expected. Take detailed photos of your vehicle before working with this company. They will lie to you until they are caught and confronted. Issues happen - honesty in dealing with them is what earns my business. Motor City Auto Spa is not that place. read more

It's small gestures like this that really lead me to appreciate a business. Mistakes happen in business, it's just the way things work. So, color me completely satisfied with them now. First and foremost! If you're looking to take your vehicle somewhere else for a cleaning, DONT!! I've had my fair share of different "Detailing" businesses proclaim things that they can do or clean. And when the time came to pick my vehicle up things weren't completed or just not done properly. Or they tell me that what they offer is above and beyond anyone else. And like so many others, I've been disappointed. And let down. So I did my own research, and came across Motor City Auto Spa. The reviews were amazing, the pictures customers have posted were amazing, all in all it looked like the place I wanted to bring my vehicle. I called and was greeted by a gentleman who's knowledge was leaps and bounds better than any other place I've tried. He was polite,knowledgeable,and talked to me in a way I could understand how EXACTLY they would perform the detailing. He also mentioned that since he hadn't seen my vehicle first hand, that it would be beneficial to stop by so he could take a look at the interior and exterior conditions. I was kind of taken back because no one had ever suggested that to me. I ended up driving down to their 11 mile location same day, and was warmly greeted as I walked in. It was the same gentleman who I talked with on the phone. He brought out a light, and went over every inch of my explorer from each body panel, to the inside top and bottom. Even flipped down seats, pulled up floor mats to see if anything was in the main carpet. I was surprised that he went through these steps even before I agreed to book an appointment. He explained about how my driver carpets had salt stains and embedded dirt, that it may not come out 100%. Which I understood. And many other "problematic" areas of concern he had. Hearing him explain what he could and possibly couldn't do, and the steps he would have to take was honestly a breath of fresh air. Because I knew what to expect. So YES I made an appointment. It was made about 2 weeks out. I was a little bummed out because I wanted it done sooner, but I understood. And let me just say when I picked up my explorer I was a little nervous. But when the manager opened my driver door, my jaw dropped! The carpets were spotless! No more salt stains, no more goldfish crackers, no more sticky candy stains on my cloth seats. My vehicle looked BRAND NEW!! they even cleaned my child's booster seat! I didn't ask them to, but they saw how stained it was and went that extra mile. I've never had this type of customer service in my life. I've never had a vehicle detailed to this high of caliber. Now I know why I had to wait 2 weeks to get an appointment, and the level of detailing truly shows. I will be bringing my vehicles here from now on. Please, if you're looking to go somewhere else, because it's cheaper. I highly recommend you spend the extra money and take it to Motor City Auto Spa. You will not be disappointed! My first experience at Motor City Auto Spa was to have a full exterior and interior package completed. This package is called the "Ultimate Spa Package" and comes with a price of $359. My car is relatively new (2010) and I keep it in excellent condition. I was 100% satisfied with the workmanship done on the interior of the car. I have had my cars professionally detalied for many years and the job completed on the interior ranks with the best I've seen. The exterior on the other hand could have been a little better. I would rate the job done on the outside of my car a 6 out of 10. Very fine surface scratches I know could have been removed based on my past detail experiences were not. Some of the touch of paint used on the small rock chips in my front bumper was applied a little sloppy and might have been best left alone. There was wax residual left on some of the matte black plastic exterior trim pieces. I also noticed 2 or 3 weeks after having the car detailed, a light circular haze became noticeable on certain parts of the car when viewed in direct sunlight, a result of improper operation the buffing wheel used to wax the car. The impression I got is the shop is too busy & the work on my car was rushed. On another note, the clerk at Motor City wanted to sell me a package of 10 hand washes. Normally these are priced at $35, but he was willing to give me the package of 10 for $250. I declined and am glad I did. They do not accept appointments for hand washing. They tell you to call them early on in the day and if they have time, they will fit you in at the end of the day. I have called 3 or 4 times at 10 AM already to try to get a hand wash and every time they do not have the time. If I had laid out $250 I would have been pretty annoyed. Based on the quality of the exterior detail I have to give them 3 stars. It's a good detail shop, but far from the best. read more

My guy got me a gift certificate for the works they cleaned the inside & outside even my tires Sparkled. It was hard to get a Saturday appointment In August but it was worth the wait and I really liked that I dropped it off in the morning and pick it up the same day by 2 o'clock. read more

I just got my car back from Matt and his crew and it is absolutely fantastic. I took my '14 Camaro SS in after a year and a half worth of abuse, and it looks brand new again. Full exterior spa package plus Plastidip on the wheels, badges, and rear spoiler. Upon arrival, Matt and I reviewed the entire car in detail to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. Matt was extremely knowledgeable and completely honest with what made sense to do and what didn't based on what I was asking for. I got everything I was expecting and more. Matt and his crew had the car done earlier than my expectations and worked all weekend to deliver it as such. I was also stupid and left the sunroof open when I dropped the car off... and of course it rained. Matt and his crew had the interior dry and spotless when I picked it up two days later. I never expected that I would be the kind of guy who gets his car detailed, because I love detailing cars... but after my experience at MCAS, I can honestly say I'll take every car I own to them for all my needs in the future.
