I love having a lot of pizza places in the area, I've grown tired of hot pots and bubble tea. This pizza place didn't quite make the cut. The service was super slow and they looked unorganized. It took about twenty minutes for four slices. They don't display the slices in the front. There was definitely too many cooks in the kitchen. I'm only giving them 3 stars because they have only been open for several days. I honestly didn't like the pizza, it was better when it was Juliettes. I definitely have to come back in a month or two. I don't want to leave a local pizza place with three stars. They do sell an IPA here which is pretty cool. We did get the cola that came in a glass. The slices I had was a fake marg slice that was just a regular. I had the other slice that was called the baby luca. The vodka slice was pretty much a joke, such a soggy slice, glad that wasn't my slice. They were sold out of the white slice at 5pm. I want to come back to try the white slice. I say give them a try just wait a couple more weeks till they got their kitchen sorted. The place was super packed. Theres only like 7 or 8 stools with no backs. There is no seating outside, just standing only.

My first encounter with Jax was a good one. Two friends and I each had a slice. I opted for the vodka sauce and it was lip-smackingly good. Visually, it looks just like a regular slice, but you can really taste the vodka sauce. I was impressed with the thin, crispy crust and the delicious cheese-sauce combination that is a hallmark of real New York-style pizza. The price per slice is decent and the service was fast. I dined in at the counter which is definitely the way to go. This area has desperately needed more pizza options for a long-time, and this newcomer (in the old Juliet's Pizza location) from the Utopia Bagels people is the real deal.

This pizza joint is so yummy. I love how they include "gourmet" or fancier pizza flavors like fig and spicy vodka. Quality you can taste. The service is efficient and there's some seating if you wanna eat really quick, but don't expect to fully dine in here for long as it's a bit quick and go here Only pizza I didn't like is the middle one in my pic, forgot the name but it has prosciutto. Consistency was watery.. which is a bit weird on pizza. Also wish the margarita pizza had the basils you normally find on margarita pizzas Small things but definitely worth checking out

Pretty decent thin crust pizza spot in LIC. Nice spot to have lunch with seating inside and out and quick service. The flavor wasn't anything amazing but it was definitely good! The pepperoni was my top choice over the Jax special slice.

Super nice having a pizza spot right by Court Square, and this place doesn't disappoint. The slices are likely inspired by L'industrie (similar flavors and the slices have the same style), but that's a good thing -- the pizza here is really good. They are thing with a little bit of crisp, but I feel their sauce is really good. I came on opening day and got the Baby Luka (which was amazing with the burrata) and the FBR (which was solid but a little too sweet for my liking because of the fig jam). Prices are super reasonable, and portions are really good. I would highly recommend, and can't wait to try more of their flavors!

Pizza. OKAY. Pizzeria serves NEW SCHOOL Pizza which quite frankly isn't my favorite type of Pizza. Knew I wasn't CRAZY when visiting my original hometown and finding out a lot of places don't serve the Pizza of my youth. TRENDY for the past decade. For what it is I'd still...RECOMMEND.

We definitely needed this in LIC , great pizza and good vibes. Love the crust and creativity in every slice . Service is top notch !

My friends and I ordered the FBR & Jax special. The pizza was okay (nothing too out of the ordinary). The bottom of the pizza came out burnt, so we were quite disappointed by that. The service was also extremely slow (we waited for approximately 35-40minutes and the inside was extremely crowded. There is limited seating indoors, so I wouldn't recommend coming here if you are wanting to enjoy the pizza on the spot.

From the people that brought you Utopia Bagels, another incredible business! We came by for the Grand Opening and tried two slices - the margherita and the Jax Special, which had vodka sauce and shaved parm. On the margherita, the crust was paper thin, and while there was a little flop, the flavor of the dough sauce and cheese were great. A nice crisp bite of a classic pizza with a particularly strong crust. Now the Jax Special, on the other hand, no notes at all. Absolutely incredible vodka sauce, amazing flavor, spot on crust with a great crisp. A legendary slice. Can't wait to see how far Jax will go because if day one is any indication, this will be a must-visit spot!

I came here with high expectations as I've heard great things, but I was not impressed. I don't know if it's just a matter of timing or what ( I came around 6pm on a Monday), but my Blanco slice felt like eating cardboard with hardened cheese on top of it. The margarita slice was better, but still not great. Overall felt like the slices I got were not fresh. as I can't see the actual pizza pies from the front, I can only assume they have been sitting out and become stale. Not great.

Finallyyyy -- there's a true NY-style pizza spot in LIC serving by the pie and the slice! Great pizza, great atmosphere, and the owners are incredibly generous and kind. Absolute must-try!

I came for the pizza, and while each slice of pizza were solid, I was more drawn to the sandwiches. The philly cheese steak was pretty bomb.

I didn't see prices for slices (but maybe native NY'ers know you can order by the slice I saw a lot of people with slices only) so we ordered a whole "pie". They were very nice about letting us order something off menu (pepperoni and mushroom) and half sautéed veggies. You order at the counter and then wait for the pizza to be brought to you. It's a chill place with a couple of tables. The pizza was piping hot and I didn't even know I burned the roof of my mouth until after I was satiated from the pizza! The cheese pull on the pepperoni mushroom was great. The cheese was obviously fresh cuz of the pull without having to load on tons of cheese . It was very well balanced. The red sauce was sweet (is this a NY thing?) but I didn't mind it. If you want a pizza with great cheese pull. Go here! But you have to eat it while it's HOT. The sautéed veggies pizza was surprisingly good. I say surprisingly cuz I am not a veggie fan in general but it was good enough for me to enjoy eating the entire slice! Great pizza! Next time I want to try the grandma slice to see what the difference is from a regular slice.

For appetizers, we ordered the fried calamari and the baked clams. I absolutely love their baked clams -- I don't eat them from anywhere else. What I appreciate most is that their clams don't have that strong "ocean" taste; they're seasoned perfectly. Their sangria is also the BEST. I had the white sangria, which was delicious, and my husband and dad ordered the red, which they really enjoyed. For the main entrées, I had the shrimp scampi, my husband had the penne alla vodka, and my dad ordered spaghetti with garlic and oil with a side of broccoli. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. The vodka sauce was creamy and tasted homemade. My daughter ordered a personal pan pepperoni pizza and loved it. The service was excellent--our server was really polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on us often. I also love the atmosphere: when you walk in, it feels like a classic pizzeria, but once you head to the back, it transforms into a cozy fine-dining space. The lighting is perfect, and the music is just the right volume. The last time I visited was over four years ago, and I'm happy to say the food and drinks still taste just as good as I remembered. Overall, it was an amazing experience for my dad's birthday, and we'll definitely be back again.

While that may rank as a relatively mid-tier title by NYC standards, as the neighborhood restaurant average is sadly and shockingly low, especially considering its location in the literally center Queens, this is nonetheless a very special neighborhood treasure, befitting it's stalwart status at now over 30 years of age. Classic Italian American with some New American flourishes, the place stays consistent and honors its tradition while simultaneously managing to keep things fresh and staying up with the times. The pizzas are well-executed and make great use of the gorgeous wood burning oven, but for me it's almost impossible to order anything else but my go-to order, one of the house specialties the classic Cavatelli with broccoli raab and some particularly pungent hot Italian sausage. A modern day classic in the cannon, finding decent versions around the city is tougher than one might imagine, particularly in my experiences in this borough. The version here, served like the rest of the offerings in an extremely generous portion that usually yields some delicious leftovers to take home, is a strong contender for the best in the borough title. Also of particular note is the exemplary super-thin and savory chicken parm, served in the previous era in various forms including with spaghetti and broccoli, as well as with risotto, currently served smothered with a spicy vodka sauce and paired with rigatoni. I've only recently became aquatinted with the rich and unctuous dry-aged burger, served simply and unadorned save for American and sharp raw union, on a classic and proper sesame seed bun, it's a stealth under-the radar competitor for the best burger in the hood nod with previous title-holder Dirty-Pierres. The expansive, two-room space, an ideal setting for the many private events and family gatherings that regularly occur here is aptly bright and inviting with the aforementioned pizza oven serving as its centerpiece. I generally sit at the bar which offers ample opportunity to converse with the top-notch staff, just as genial and affable as you would hope to find in such a longtime neighborhood institution, as well as the fellow patrons, who are, more often then not, you guessed it, longtime local resident regulars.

This was one of the best new pizzerias in NYC, opening to great accolades from various publications. Being a poor kid in Junior High School working for a mere $3.75/hr across the street at the corner Baskin Robins (RIP) did not give me the opportunity for quite some time. Anyway, fast forward 5 years and I finally had the chance with a few friends to experience what many called the best pizza in Queens, and I was very impressed. This became my regular "fancy" pizza shop of choice. What I loved most about it was the crispy and charred thin crust. It adds so much to the overall taste and enjoyment. The sauce was deliciously tangy and the fresh mozzarella made it a level above everything else in the neighborhood. One word of warning, the pizza could get a little soggy in the center if too many toppings are ordered. I usually choose none or no more than two. Also noteworthy is their yummy calzones. My personal favorite combination is sausage and spinach. Mixed with all that oozing ricotta and dipped in some tomato sauce, that is one great bite. Lastly, I like most of their salads too. Their food has been a staple in my diet for most of my adult life. Decades go by, and out of nowhere, I hear the news that Nick's had burned down. What a loss for our community! What a loss personally! Thankfully, they are back and feeling every bit like the original. Food is as good as before, while the decor and service has always been on point.
