This place had other plans. Started with the wood-roasted octopus -- russet potatoes, shallots, Kalamata olives & dill. Packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. Then came the roasted meatballs with tomato sauce, garlic bread, Parmesan & basil. Classic comfort food, but that wood-fired flavor gave it a serious upgrade. Then came the Local 82 -- tomato, sausage, speck, spicy soppressata, garlic & jalapeño. Bold, spicy, smoky... basically everything I want on a pizza. And the staff? Fantastic. They actually took the time to explain every dish, which made the whole experience even better. Now here's where things got ridiculous... I came back THE NEXT DAY. Why? Because Saturday night, I watched everybody around me ordering the Stun Dunn and talking about how incredible it was. So naturally, I had to investigate. ‍ Caramelized onion, Gruyère, scallion, red onion & mozzarella. They weren't exaggerating. OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. I looked up why that would be and one reason stated it could be improper storage, like it was unfrozen or melted then refrozen. I wasn't chancing that. I told the server and said I couldn't eat it. He offered another dessert but I said know, then offered a limoncello shot. While I appreciate the offer, we weren't drinking before so that wasn't the best option to offer. I just said im fine without a replacement. When we got the bill, the dessert was taken off like he said he would. We paid and left. Overall the main course/pasta meals were delicious.
