Great find in downtown Ocean City!! Friendly staff. Great food, fast service and extremely reasonable prices. They were so accommodating to my 82 year old father and his "special requests". Don't skip the Bananas French Toast. It is amazing. The scrapple is crispy. Highly recommend this charming family owned place! Don't miss it on your next trip to the beach. Update 9/21/18. We come to nearly every day when we are here for the week. The food is still a good value but things are slipping. Twice they failed to put the caramel sauce on the Goin Bananas French Toast. Hey friends! I was happy this restaurant was open during off-season. I was searching for mom & pop style breakfast and this place was perfect! I ordered the Short Stack French Toast and 2 Eggs($9). It was delicious. The French toast was the perfect balance of soft and crispy. Not overly sweet. The eggs weren't my favorite. I prefer fluffy scrambled eggs. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast combo($10) and a side of pancakes($7). He enjoyed the pancakes and the crispy potatoes, the pancakes were huge. We ordered an apple juice and orange juice. The juice was delicious but the cups are super small for $4. We really appreciate our server warming up our syrup. Service was very friendly. Restaurant was clean and well stocked. We had breakfast here twice during our time in Ocean City and both were delicious! For starters, it makes this Philly girl happy to be able to get Scrapple outside of Pennsylvania, and it was very well prepared - nice and crisp! I had eggs one morning and pancakes the other, and both were excellent. After this meal, I would have been better off dining at one of the larger chain restaurants that serve breakfast, but I wanted to support a small local business. I ordered the caramel iced java, and the steak and eggs platter which came with fried potatoes and toast. While the ice coffee was presented beautifully, it was so watered down that you couldn't taste the coffee at all. I asked for my steak to be cooked medium, but as soon as it arrived on my table, I could tell that it was well done. It was a paper thin cut of meat that, even though it was well done, was miraculously not tough and rubbery. Very surprising. I asked for scrambled eggs with cheese, and received eggs that were dried out and overcooked, with several slices of Kraft singles melted on top. First, that's not cheese. Second, that is not how you make scrambled eggs WITH cheese. If the cheese is not mixed into the eggs, it's just not right. Also, they gave me one small container of jelly for four slices of toast, and it took forever to find our server so that we could ask her to bring more. The restaurant wasn't very busy at the time, but we found it very difficult to find our server for much of anything... especially when it came time to pay the bill. We sat around for 20 minutes waiting for her to return to our table to collect the bill. It seemed like she practically disappeared. We didn't see her anywhere in the restaurant. Finally I spotted her and brought her the receipt with our payment, and she tells me that I can pay in the back of the restaurant at the counter by the kitchen. How would I have known this otherwise? It probably would have been helpful for her to mention that after she left us the check. read more

Finding a place in Ocean City that serves good breakfast food is surprisingly difficult. Even much touted places that consistently have lines waiting have left us shaking our heads after eating some hideous meals. We are locals and don't venture down to the inlet area in the season since traffic and parking are difficult. So, this was our first time trying Soriano's and we went in with pretty low expectations that it would be the same-ol'/same ol'. We were very pleasantly surprised. Between the two of us we tried the pancakes (the best we've found here so far), eggs fried over medium (perfection) sausage (crispy and wonderfully flavored), breakfast potatoes (chunk style-which I prefer over the ubiquitous straw type, crispy, fresh) and bacon (quality and crispy) Only the toast let us down a bit-rather cheap and flaccid, and the fact that they are way too frugal with the butter and jelly. We happened to notice a sign from the day before advertising their sloppy joe. I happen to be a huge fan of this rare to find throw back and the only other place I know that makes it is Lizzie's. Crossing my fingers, I asked if they still had any. They did! And we got some to go for dinner. Wow! I haven't had one of these so perfectly made since I was a kid in the 60s. It was so terrific, in fact that we went back and ordered some fresh several days later. We were told that they make pork chops on Tuesdays so of course we are going next week to check it out. Rip off! Prices are a bit high, portions are small, and quality is low. One of us had breakfast while the other had lunch, and neither was very good. My omelette had about ten small chunks of ham total, and it also had eggshells in it. Potatoes had zero flavor. Salad was a good concept but tiny in size - the mixed greens were fresh but lacking in quantity. The chicken fingers on top were very processed - more of a chicken nugget inside. Server never asked how our food was until we had finished and needed the check. We won't return. I'm surprised they've lasted as long as they have. Very disappointed. my family and I stayed in OC Maryland for 3 days. we went to sorianos every single morning for breakfast. the food was great and made fresh. the service is wonderful. everyone that we spoke to that worked there was very friendly and a pleasure talking to. also the ambiance/style of this little place is adorable. Well... don't expect big portions . Cheesesteak was on a hotdog bun. Fries tasted like they came out of a grocery bought bag. Coffee is Waffle House style no soy or almond milk just half and half containers in a bowl . The turkey and cranberry salad was fresh and tasted good just a tad small . Stopped in here with Chickadee while looking for a lunch spot. She opted for pancakes and bacon, while I went for a grilled cheese. The pancakes were pretty dense and the bacon was very greasy. My Man would say, "so what's wrong with that?" My sandwich was passable. I have rode by the place on several occasions and wanted to try it. It's a cute corner location off the boardwalk. It took us a good 5-7 mins before anyone noticed us and took our drink order. When the food came my jaw dropped. The flattest, smallest, dark brown omelette I have ever seen. It contained small bits of frozen spinach and a little feta cheese. My iced coffee was served in a strange plastic cocktail looking glass that was cracked and I don't think meant for food service. The homefries were ok but not seasoned. The server was sweet i will give it that so that's why the 3 stars. I will def not come back. For 2 of us breakfast was $30, so not cheap. This is a very nice place. Food and service were great! I had the steak and eggs and my Gf had a spicy chicken wrap. Food was 8/10- steak was ok, everything else was superb. This is a very nice place to grab a bite or just drop in for a coffee. Very warm and comfortable environment. Next time I'm visiting OC, I'll be sure to stop by again. The staff was polite and accommodating if possible (yes to egg whites, but no skim milk, just whole). The menu is simple, no frills. Don't mess with my coffee! Who puts a sprinkle of pumpkin spice on iced coffee??? Apparently the staff at Soriano's. Ok...I won't fault them too much for succumbing to the cult of pumpkin spice but everything else could have been better. Self-seating at clean tables is fine, if at least half the empty tables are bussed. Our server seemed a little discombobulated but she got the order right and the food came out fairly quickly -- and before the coffee -- which led me to wonder why it wasn't hot. Maybe the wait for silverware after the food was on the table cooled it a little as well. The food itself was fine, diner breakfast fare at a decent price. Nothing special. But...something just seems a little bit off in terms of the service. Maybe our waitress partied a little too hard last night. We forgive her. read more
