The install went fine & the unit is working well. HOWEVER, I tried numerous times to contact this company by phone & email. & got no response back. (It's like they fell off the face of the earth)!! So I called Soundview & requested that a tech come down to look at a new thermostat I was looking to install. They sent Justin. He could not have been nicer, helpful & informative. He told me that the A/C unit I have does not require a multi stage thermostat & as such, I can return it to Walmart saving me $270. He also explained that the unit though not top of the line, was a good reliable unit that only requires the thermostat I already have. Lastly, Soundview was a pleasure to work with, Justin showed up on time & as a result, they will be my "go to" company for all ongoing A/C requirements. I highly recommend them!! J.F Smithtown

And when you subtract out the unlicensed, uninsured people from your list your choices are minimal. I wanted to replace our thermostat after a slight remodel. The old one was dingy and couldn't be salvaged. While we were at it we decided to add WiFi connectivity beacuse, well we don't really have a true need for that but since a thermostat was only a few dollars more i figured, why not. After examining the current thermostat and the wiring at the HVAC unit i was convinced the the job was beyond my skill level. Having seen Soundview shop every day on the way to the gym an knowing a couple of them work out in the same gym, I thought I'd give the local team a shot. They said they would send someone by to look at the job to give an estimate. The estimator cam by and looked and tinkered with the system for about 45 minutes. in the end he said my control panel wasn't compatible with new generation thermostats. This wasn't hard to believe, we know that the builder relied on a lot of "closeout specials" when building the house 20 years ago. He also mentioned that we may need a new damper. He stated he didn't have the control panel on the truck but he would go back to the office and have them contact me with a quote for the work. He gave me a ballpark but said they office would need to validate once the sourced the exact parts. I agreed and indicated I would wat for the quote even asking how long the job would take. I paid the service call fee on the spot and thanked the technician. Well it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for a callback with a quote (not really anymore). maybe I have a unique facial tick that coincidently tells people to "ignore this man. In the interceding time I've been able to call someone ese have the work done and get on with my life. So much for the local team...

After paying $500 to him, He wants to charge us again to fix the issue that his company left us. We had heat in our home before the repair. After workers from M&M Precision Plumbing came to our home we have no heat. The repair cost us $500 and the owner Max wants to charge us more money to come fix the issue that his company caused. We have had other Plumbing companies inspect our issue to determine the cause was a Direct result of M&M not bleeding my valves properly leaving my pipes air locked. Max (the owner) was supposed to come fix this issue over a weekend, but has ignored phone calls and never showed up to our house. This is a terrible company with terrible customer service. Save your money and look for a more reliable company that you won't need to take to Small Claims Court!

From the initial service call through the follow-up, everyone was professional, responsive and extremely helpful. We were dealing with an unexpected A/C failure that appeared to be related to recent lightning and storm activity in the area. The technician (and team) took the time to explain what he was seeing, discussed the likely cause with us, and helped us understand our options. Our particular unit is no longer manufactured and replacement parts can be difficult to find. Rather than simply recommending that we replace the entire system, Aaron's AC took the time to locate a compatible condenser that would work with our existing equipment. That effort allowed us to address the problem without having to undertake a much more extensive and costly full-system replacement. Once the solution was identified, the team handled everything extremely quickly and professionally. I especially appreciated their communication, resourcefulness and willingness to find the right solution for us rather than simply the easiest one. It is refreshing to deal with a company that is responsive, knowledgeable and genuinely focused on taking care of the customer. I have the thermostat set at 69 and when it is bitter cold it shows that the temperature in the room is 60 degrees or 62. This company knows these particular thermostats have this issue as many customers with this particular one have complained. And guess what this company says there's NOTHING THEY CAN DO ABOUT IT.

There was this persistent issue at my house after someone tore out a gas dryer in December 2020,…read morewhich culminated in the gas company "isolating" (ie, disabling) my stove. I called Joe at 5 on a Friday, and he got someone out to me at 8AM Saturday. It was a little more complicated than expected, and he sent his guy out Sunday too, to fix something. After the gas people came back to explain their work, Joe and Pete found the issue, located a gas leak in the crawl space, fixed it, hooked the stove back up, helped me figure out a broken fixture, and finished up in a little over an hour. (As soon as I heard "gas leak in the crawl space" I was bracing for weeks of no stove and expensive work, but this wasn't the case.) In all, pricing was reasonable, response was always fast (by phone and in person), my stove works, and they made sure everything done by an iffy handyman was no longer dangerous. In my search for plumbers, I noticed that all area plumbers had mixed reviews. Also, as he was leaving it came up that he knows my uncle and does work for him, and my uncle is a SUPER diligent perfectionist about home repairs and safety, and my uncle would definitely only use a great plumber. And he's a great plumber.
