I left my car for a repair on an open recall. When I picked it up my battery was dead so they helped with a jump start. Before getting the jump start I noticed that service advisor Mike Russell was already looking irritated and frustrated, I payed no mind to that. Then I couldn't release my parking brake so went back in to ask about it and Mike was even more frustrated and irritated. He even told me that he wasn't going to be responsible for it. I never asked if he was going to be responsible, I just wanted help to release the parking brake. He told me to turn off the car and go inside so a technician can come and remove the compartment. When I asked for a supervisor, the technician went and released the brake with no issues (something was just stuck or something) Mike could've just asked the technician to look at it and not say all the things he said, but I guess he just took it out on me. I need several repairs on my car and even asked about it in the morning, but after this I will not be coming back for those repair. Definitely will be going to another location in the future. read more

I had a recall appointment scheduled online. I confirmed the appointment twice by phone call. When I arrived, the initial technician that does check in told me that I didn't have an appointment and he was going to register me as a walk in. I dropped off my car on 11/29 and was told that I would get an update on Monday. Monday came and I received no update. Texted the number that was provided and was notifief that my car hadn't been touched. It just sat in the lot for 4 days. I was not given a loaner vehicle. I was told that I would have had to wait till February if I wanted a loaner vehicle. on Thursday, my car was done. I did not receive any notification regarding the car being done. I was in the area and called the service center to ask for an update. Overall, very poor communication and disorganization. I would not recommend using their service center unless you absolutely have to in the instance of a recall. Go somewhere else for better service. read more

We were visiting for out of town and our check engine light came out around 1:30 pm on a Saturday. Most mechanic shops close at 2 pm on the weekends, but the service dept. here didn't close until 4 pm. We limped the car down to the dealership and while they were booked up with service, their service guys heard our situation and took the time to run a diagnostic check. The light had gone off, so they didn't find anything, but they offered some advice and let us make an appointment (they were booked up Monday, but said they'd do everything they could to work us in). Everyone was really nice and helpful and seemed genuinely concerned with helping us get home. If I lived in the area, I'd take my car there for service with no hesitation. read more

Bought my Acura TL here, took car in for service today, November 4. Waited almost 30 minutes to check in, service manager (Shawn Archer) argued with me said I checked in at 1:17 when actually I was here at 1:01. That's a long time to wait just to get checked in, but ok. Time before that waited almost 3 hours for basic oil change. Guy forgot about me and at least they didn't charge anything. Then there's rotating tires when I was getting new tires the following day. List goes on. Our family has purchased four cars from this dealership, 3 MDXs and a TL. This place used to have superior service and it has gone downhill in the last several years. My experience every time I bring my car continues to get worse and worse. I don't get it. Do they care? no. Every time I'm here it's a joke. Luckily this is the last time I'll ever be here. read more

I brought my car in for service to get a diagnosis why i have an airbad check light come on my dash. I alway kept my car really clean inside and out . I have an acura tl 2012 and i keep my baby up all the time no scratch inside the interior. After they did the diagnosis they call me back and told me that they come up with a code, that there is a passenger airbag short circuit indicator switch. And ask me did i try to open that up to wire something. Uh of course i never even touch that things. If i know what i am doing i wouldn't bring it into the dealer for diagnosis. Anyway after they replace that switch for like 355 and the part is like 34 buck. And i also got my brake fluid change for like 149.and my throttle body clean for 199 so come out everything with tax 841 dollar.And i pick up my car with three piece dent on my dash where they fix the switch. I call them and they lied to me saying it was there. I will never come back to let them service on my car ever agian. I hate when you take your car to a big dealer and they lied to their customer. So if any of you plan to take your car in this dealer for service or getting anything fix take a pic of your picture of your car inside and out so if anything happen you can have prove and have them inspect your car before they do the service.here is the pic of what they did and they lied about it read more

Disappointing to say the least. I received an email from the business regarding a special they were running for the timing belt replacement. I called and spoke with Bridget and explained that I was 2 hours away in Columbia and that I would like to take advantage of the special, but with the holidays, in December I was wondering if I could come in January and they would offer the special price. Bridget said she would need to consult with her manager and she placed me on hold. When she came back on she said she would need to schedule the service today, but said the managers Shawn and Matt would honor the price in January. She suggested I bring the email with me. I showed up today at the scheduled time of service and was met with the service writer, who did not introduce himself. He said "so you are here for an oil change", I said "No, I am here for a timing belt replacement" and showed him the email and communication with Bridget. He then proceeded to tell me that I would need to do some other services to include spark plugs, valve timing, and tensioner. He also said, "the price on the email doesn't include parts and labor". I said "yes it does" I verified that with Bridget when I made the appointment. I explained that I did some of those things on my own and I needed to make a phone call. I went back in and explained that as long as we can get it done today I just want to get the timing belt done. He said well that is just the thing we had you down for an oil change so we won't be able to do that today. So I asked that my car be pulled out and I would purchase some things from the parts department and would be on my way. I went to parts, purchased some things, and stopped back by his office and asked if my car was out front. He was then speaking to Shawn (service manager) and he said he got an email this morning about my appointment and they would take care of everything. I said, "No, I won't be back". So....needless to say, I was obviously lied to, to my face about my appointment (it clearly was on the schedule correctly) and they couldn't be happy with a $700 sell, they needed to try to sell me something else, or they wouldn't be able to get me in. Poor customer service. You just lost a customer. read more

I am giving four stars because I'm comparing Jay Wolfe's service to that of Hendrick Acura's service that used to be at this location. Though the location, physical building/amenities, remain the same after management transition, there's something less warm about the overall level of service. Quality of workmanship is on par with most Acura dealers and there's nothing to complain about. But a number of times now, they have missed the estimated time to do a repair work, or have given me a quote and the final price ends up being much higher than what was quoted because of missing taxes or other part costs or miscellaneous items. Also, the customer service representatives seem more robotic in their actions, whereas it used to be more warm and personal. Don't get me wrong, they're not rude or anything, and I am purely comparing to how it was before the new management took over. I don't really have a choice living in the Overland Park area for another Acura dealer to take my car to do further comparison, but overall they do a good job in terms of what needs to be done. read more

Have been here 3 times for service with my MDX. Appreciate that scheduling online or calling is easy. Early morning appointments seem to move quickly. Dropped my vehicle off, spoke with the rep handling my service, they called throughout the day with updates and options. Found a video online of a car making the same noise as mine, and the tech actually watched it, confirmed it was the same thing and proceeded with the fix. I like that Acura only charges a diagnosis fee if you choose not to have work done, but they remove it if you proceed with work. All dealerships / service shops should be like that. Enjoyed the experience from start to finish. Sometimes the added price from going through a dealership is worth the work you get in return. read more
