Response was quick and informative. Fortunately there was a cancelation and i was able to take the appointment. I dropped off my car and the options were confirmed to have a ceramic tint. This establishment does not participate in Groupon since the quality of materials is much better here and they do not cut corners. Trimming is all done by hand with craftsmanship and pride in the product. This place also has experience with applying Tesla cars which can be important. Since there are establishments that will not touch these cars. We discussed pricing and this place came in about average for other places. I am so impressed with Jay's Tint Shop. He does a lot of tinting around here and I had just bought a Tesla model Y and needed the front windows tinted. Jay recommended going darker on the front and assured me that it would look seamless afterward. And it does! I was interested in getting a wrap done and when I spoke to Jay, he offered me several different choices, but ultimately suggested that I go with a PPF. This wrap goes on clear but depending on the color of your car, it will change different colors in sunlight. It comes with a 10 year warranty and dings or minor scratches will self correct in the sun! Jay and his buddy Jake wrapped my 2026 Porsche Cayenne SE Hybrid with PPF on the entire front end, including the hood, fenders, headlights, trunk top, and rocker panels. Jay continues his CYA. At pickup, the car was dirty and in dim light of the bay at close of day. Look at the location and nature of the dent. It could not have happened while driving. The force of impact is 90 degrees to the fender, and smooth (no scratch) - like something dropped against it from the SIDE. A glancing blow by a rock while driving would show a horizontal force of impact and would not be smooth. Regardless, a professional business would have taken a look at the dent, or at least some photos. But your response was to deny, interrupt, make accusations against ME, trespass me from the property, then immediately hang up! Wow. No Jay, you fully earned the review. read more

Jay's Tint Shop did a wonderful job on my wife's civic. Jay was very patient and thorough with my expectations and what could be expected from what I was asking for. I went with the ceramic tint which costs more but has better heat reduction which is what we wanted for the car. Day of the appointment I brought the car and Jay again went over what we had talked about over the phone as a refresher to make sure I knew what I was getting myself into. I sat inside on a really comfortable couch, worked, and listened to all the sounds. From sitting there for four hours I can definitely say Jay is very friendly and really takes his time explaining to customers even over the phone what he recommends and what to expect. I couldn't imagine a mean bone exists in the guy when the job was finished I noticed there was a speck of dust and Jay immediately offered to use a heat gun to diminish the whiteness but also explained that it's impossible to not have some dust. After the heat gun was done, it looked much better and less noticeable. Problem solved. Now it's 3 days no touching the window and waiting 1 week for the tint to "dry" They're booked out quite a while so definitely call ahead and make your appointment quick. read more

Top notch tint job -- Jay's professionalism, expertise, execution, and friendliness are unrivaled! And he's fast. You may have to schedule quite a while in advance unless you get lucky with a last minute cancelation like I did. I trusted Jay's judgment to decide how I should proceed with my job and what materials to use. I ultimately chose a more expensive project than Jay recommended, but Jay only relented after I clarified with him that cost was an unimportant factor even if the marginal benefit of the extra cost was low. Had some of my windows tinted on my highlander and found the staff to be very professional and courteous. I do with the pricing was a bit more transparent over the phone or I just misunderstood them. I went with the level up tint material and I thought it was an extra $25 for the entire thing, but dont believe that was the case. Either way I am very impressed by how well the tint was installed and the explanation on how to care for the tinted window. They are also a low pressure shop and wont push you to get the upgrade on tints. The one thing I wish I did, was to tilt all the windows instead just the front ones (back ones were factory tint),but will definitely will be bringing my highlander back to get the other windows tinted and will bring my other vehicles to get it tinted. read more

I am a long-time customer of Jay's Tint Shop, going back to the early 2000s. I believe they have tinted 8 vehicles for me during that time period. After learning that they had restructured under new ownership in the past few years I took them up on a tint and was excited to give them a try again as I had very fond memories of their shop and their work. This time I had a much less enthusiastic experience. I setup my appointment with Jay (owner) and discussed the particulars of what I wanted, including the date/time to drop off my vehicle. When I showed up at the agreed-to time I was greeted by someone else (Tyler) and was a bit taken aback by this. Although not Tyler's fault, and he was genuinely helpful, I felt like the appointment was not off to the start I expected and not once was I given any heads up about this lack of ability to work directly with the person I had setup the work with. To his credit, Tyler spent time with me showing me real samples of the film and explained advantages of each level, which was also worth mentioning. I gave them several days with my vehicle as I was traveling for a holiday weekend and they did graciously offer to keep the car stored in their shop, which is to be commended and they did deliver on that...which I greatly appreciate. That was the high water mark of the entire experience too, and ultimately what is making me give them 3 stars. Their parking situation is not all that great, and it left me with a bit of uneasiness leaving my car there on the first day. Upon my return (5 days later) to pickup my car, I was greeted (again by Tyler) and given a car that was extremely dirty, not only the paint but also the newly tinted windows themselves. I will be spending considerable time cleaning my own vehicle for a car show this coming weekend, and I don't recall that ever being a factor in the past. Very disappointing, and sub-standard in terms of a customer experience. This is not a 'discount' tint shop, and so expectations are rightfully high. I didn't even purchase their low end film but rather an upgraded film at higher cost. I would call my entire experience quite average, but this is not the experience that I remember about using Jay's in the past, nor is it the experience I've had with several of his local area competitors in more recent years. I think they could do a few simple things (better communication, post-install cleaning) to GREATLY improve the customer experience, and I hope that this review serves as a wake up call to strive for excellence for each and every one of your customers. read more

Drove up here from the Renton area based on Yelp reviews and wanted to give them a shot after experiencing a couple of of terrible tint job/customer service issues from other places closer to me. I called Jay's tint shop shortly after buying my car and they were able to schedule me for an almost last minute appointment (brand new car and I didn't want any rock chips). Seth was the guy who installed full front bumper paint protection film with some custom pieces and window tint on my new car. Perfectly cut, matched, and fit PPF edges and no visible tint lines on the windows with no bubbles. Seth is a guy who respects cars, knows what he's doing, and knows what he's talking about. A few weeks after I had the paint protection installed, there was a slight blemish that appeared on the film where I brought it back to Seth to check out; he ended up fixing it free of charge; it's not perfect, but it's not as noticeable from a distance. He just tinted my brand new Tesla, and WARNED me against tinting the windshield (which I originally wanted to do). He said there is a risk of interfering with the electronic sensors. Other shops I spoke to immediately said they could tint my windshield, without any warnings. At it again and above and beyond as always. If there's one thing that Jay does better than most anyone else it's customer service. He will do anything he can to make a customer happy and that's what makes him so good. After purchasing a car that I've always wanted brand new, I decided to go to Jay to get the paint protection (clear bra) put on. After installation, there were a few flaws. I brought it back and to correct the flaws, they took the time to redo a whole section of it and spend hours meticulously working the details to ensure it was as perfect as it could be. I decided to wait for the rework and it took a lot longer than anticipated (for good reason: attention to detail). Because I waited so long, Jay cut me a great deal on getting the tint done. Now I have my dream protected from rock chips and great looking tint. All the while I got to BS with Jay who is super cool. This is my second car I've had tinted with Jay and I'm very happy. I also love the customer service and sent a friend who had just purchased a new car over to get the paint protection as well.
